The hotel is bit far from I-55 but it’s still very close. Makes for an easy off and on. Staff is exceptionally nice. Room was exceptionally dated however clean and nothing was broken or damaged. Exercise room was very nice. Breakfast was wonderful for this price range. True scrambled eggs, sausage and bacon, as well as the usual waffles and fruit. 

There was nobody at the desk and note said to call a certain number.  After a couple minutes the gal and a guy came out. Where we parked, the sidewalk had lots of cigarette butts and mud on it.  As soon as we walked in down the hall, we both commented on the bad smell. The room didn’t look real bad but the carpet wasn’t real clean along the edges.  The toilet didn’t flush well and got clogged too.  We didn’t have any plastic glasses and had to call the office with our own cell phone. The room phone was found in the closet with no wires in it. The kid said he would look for some and came with 4.  There was no kleenex in the container.  The lid for the ice bucket was missing and we found it behind the cabinet. We found what might have been a bed bug trap beside the bed.  We were getting grossed out but decided to stay as we were tired from driving all day. Slept ok that night. The shower ceiling had holes in the drywall from water leaks. When I stepped out of the shower, a roach or earwig ran across the tile floor. The towels were rough from just being old and washed many times and not very large. There was no safety lock on the inside of the door, it had been ripped off.  No breakfast they said because of covid. The breakfast area was dirty and old towels and equipment on the counters. Looked like they hadn’t served breakfast in a couple years,  place was just dirty looking. This motel must have been a decent place at one time but is poorly managed now and needs many repairs and could be a lot cleaner. The owner needs to get things in order or this place will die.  Find another hotel, this one was bad.

Due to a family emergency, we had to come up and could not get into  comfort inn. we stayed at his dive.  I booked three nights and first morning we saw a couple of ants  in the room. I let it go and the next morning we woke up to hundreds of ants on the dresser. They were in my purse crawling everywhere .  We had no food in the room. My husband pulled out the refrigerator and microwave cabinet and there was food behind it and ants were   coming from there. I Went to the front desk and  the guy said he would talk to the owner about refunding the third night because I said we are not staying here . They wouldn’t refund it then they lied to hotels.com and said I didn’t complain. why the heck do you think we left .I guess I should’ve made a scene, but frankly I was the only person in the lobby anyway.  The whole place smells like cigarette smoke. I will post every negative review I can about this dump until they refund that third night. Disgusting place .I had to go through all our luggage and everything we had to make sure there were no ants that we were carrying to our new hotel. Thank goodness we were able to get back into the comfort inn. Do not stay at this place .
