Raw Culture Art & Lofts Bairro Alto

Baixa Lisbon|0.2km from Missangas & Co
It started out rocky as the pickup we booked via hotel was 30 min late to get us at the airport. However the rest of our stay was still so good that I am willing to give it five stars. Room - huge lofts with kitchen and king bed and 3 half baths. No tub but shower was nice and strong. Concrete floor was great as we visited Lisbon in 100 degree weather. The robe and slipper provided were high quality as was the large bath towels. It was a nice touch to get a free liter of water and a small wine as a welcome Breakfast - included with our stay is awesome. Freshly made to order as this place only has 12 lofts. We got scrabbled eggs every day that came with these tomatoes and sliced ham that was simply delicious. Location - is in the midst of bars and restaurants. Many good places nearby. Thankfully with double pane windows, it was pretty quiet for us to sleep even though many party late in the night outside. Only inconvenience is Uber or bolt cannot pick up at door as its in an alleyway. Need to walk 100ft to Main Street to get a Uber or bolt. Bed - roomy and comfortable. They do put two twin together with a big cushion on top but it was very nice bed. Staff - super friendly and helpful. Maria checked us in and was very nice and Philip gave us free welcome drinks and showed us to a restaurant right outside he liked. We liked it too and had a nice dinner for only 30 euros of sardines and grilled sea bream. Yum. I would definitely book again.

We were SO incredibly fortunate to begin our 3 month European adventure in March 2022 at the Lisboa Carmo Hotel! The VIP ride from the airport with Alexandre, in the Tesla, and he was warm and welcoming as gave us a tour until he dropped us off. The entire staff went above and beyond to make sure our every need was met. We spoke very little Portuguese at that time, and they were willing to both help us with the language, and speak to us in English when needed. The room was perfect. A double room (Family Suite) so we had an extra bed & bath for the nights we needed extra sleep due to jet lag. The breakfast? For 2 weeks we were spoiled. Fresh fruit like we had never tasted before. The mangos and papayas were out of this world. They said we can have whatever we want in the omelet, and when I asked for asparagus, the host apologized and then we saw him outside running across the street. He came back with fresh asparagus. There was a great variety and the coffee was delicious, too. What a treat! The location could not be better! Away from noise and crowds and close so much! The staff was helpful every step of the way! Our trip was off to a 5 STAR start. Our sincere thanks to the entire team!!

After much research We decided to stay at this boutique hotel. A great decision. The staff is amazing, especially Daniel, who is kind, knowledgeable and knows how to take care of the guests. The hotel left s bottle of port for us to enjoy after a day of touring. They arranged airport pick up and return for us (we left at 5am). They provided a small breakfast in our room the morning since we would not be there for breakfast. The neighborhood is lovely. Good restaurants and close to attractions without huge crowds. We would definitely return to this hotel if we ever returned to Lisbon!

We stayed four nights here. Loved this hotel! Staff very friendly and helpful. The rooms very comfortable - and loved the complimentary mini-bar. There's a spa with a (very small) pool, steam room, and sauna. There's also a small work out room. Hours are somewhat limited, but we took advantage of it each day. One of the best things about the hotel is the rooftop restaurant. Spectacular city views, including an outdoor area. Complimentary breakfast buffet is served there every day. The buffet was amazing - smoked salmon, cheeses, a wide array of fresh fruit, pastries galore, hot entries, fresh juices, even champagne for mimosas! The hotel is walking distance to several excellent restaurants - our favorite: Sacramento. So good we went twice! Ubers easy to get for sight-seeing. The place is named after a famous Portuguese poet - Fernando Pessoa. There's a lovely library - gives the place a really nice literary feel.

Apartment was very spacious and had everything you would need. We rented a one bedroom and it was perfect for the two of us. The pictures are an accurate reflection of the unit. Fully equipped kitchen which included a washer. The apartment was clean and in a great location. You could easily walk to other popular areas. Plenty of restaurants and shops. Our host Alex was wonderful! We had an early flight and were allowed an early check in. He provided us with helpful information and was accessible throughout our stay. While you do not have the amenities of a hotel, you do get more space for your money. I would stay here again.
