Absolute scammers - do not use them! In May 2023, we booked a 4 bed apartment in Liverpool for 10 people. On the morning we were setting off they emailed to say that due to unforseen damage left by the previous occupants we couldn't stop there & were forced to go to a 2 bed apartment they provided nearby. We had no choice but to accept as it was Grand National weekend! The alternative property (supposed to sleep up to 11 !) was an absolute dump, with no equipment or facilities to cater for any number of people let alone 10. We went to the property we had booked and actually spoke to the current managing agents who confirmed that there was no damage to the unit but also that IStay had last control of the property in July 2023 ! After that date IStay didn't cancel any of the bookings but clearly from the history of reviews have been using the same ploy with everyone. Now pursuing through Airbnb as IStay are ignoring contact, haven't offered a refund / reduction & haven't even refunded the £300 security deposit! We have video evidence to prove that we left the place cleaner than when we arrived! Avoid IStay Liverpool at all costs!

We had the same experience as many others have reported. Booked 4 bed/4 bath in Fenwick St a year ago. The morning of the booking they advised there was damage to the apt so they’d have to move us to Water St. This was a 2 bed/2 bath and very poor quality. We had no choice but to accept as was Grand National weekend so everywhere booked up. They sprung on us last minute a £300 damage deposit and we couldn’t get entry code without paying. The damage was all a lie as iStay haven’t owned the apartment since last summer. We haven’t received any refund or our deposit returned. They’re no longer answering emails or phone calls.

DO NOT USE!! This company are advertising properties they do not own and are still taking bookings for them. it's an absolute scam, please avoid for your own sake.

A group of 4 girls went and stayed in 1 Water Street apartments Liverpool for a hen weekend. On arrival in Liverpool the booking office was constantly on the phone asking for a deposit before they would release the apartment details. On arrival the apartment was nice and spacious and the location was fantastic. Once settled we noticed a few things wrong with the apartment like the upkeep was awful with paint falling off the walls, damp by the windows and just other run down areas. We had planned to go out on the Saturday and chill out in the apartment on the Sunday well this couldn’t happen as the television wouldn’t work due to the WiFi. We reported this after 6 phone calls we got through to somebody who said they would get back to me and I’m still waiting now. On departure of the apartment we left before 11am to be greeted with the small of everybodies rubbish in black bags just outside the lift. I called iStay on the Monday we checked out to complain and they advised to send a email. I have sent several emails in the last 3 weeks and nobody has got back the me. I have called iStay and when they do answer the phone they are useless and all they say is Iv passed it onto my manager. He was unsure of when she would be in the office next and why she wasn’t replying. When you are paying over £700 for a luxury apartment you expect more than what iStay offered. Customer service is shocking!!

Had booked a 2 bed apartment for 3 nights & had paid a deposit of almost €500 only to be told 13 days before our arrival that our booking was cancelled due to “unforeseen circumstances” & since then have been unable to contact them by phone & they are not answering my emails with regards to getting my deposit back. All in all an absolute shower of ********s & not holding out much hope of getting my money back. So I would avoid them altogether, I originally booked through ***********

DO NOT BOOK - when initially booking and paying the deposit they weren’t the most helpful but everything was fine. However fast forward to a month before we are due to stay and they aren’t replying to emails or answering calls, we’ve definitely lost our deposit and just glad we haven’t paid the full balance!! I think maybe they’ve gone out of business - they used to be legitimate but something has definitely happened. Such a disappointment leaving us with no accomodation for a friends hen do, and £700 out of pocket. Please please do not make the same mistake.

Booked here last August to stay in February overnight for our friend’s birthday surprise. Paid deposit at the time & remaining cost in January, £248 altogether. The night before going away at 9.30pm, I received a message through the booking app I used to say that the host could no longer accommodate us. An alternative was suggested, which was a double room & looked like student accommodation and was meant to be for 4 of us and for the exact same price. I declined this and asked for a refund. I was told by the booking company that the refund could take from 10-15 days. As you can imagine, this was extremely frustrating having to find an alternative so last minute and was challenging to find somewhere. We had to pay additional money to book somewhere else and this was further away resulting in more expense with taxis to and from all the places we had booked during our stay. It took over 5 weeks of me contacting the booking app that I used to refund me. Istay have been unreachable and have not responded to myself or the booking company to provide the refund. Absolutely shocking that they can take money from you, cancel last minute and keep hold of your money. Avoid at all costs!

booked to visit Fenwick St Liverpool 5-7 April with 4 school friends.We’re all 61 and looking forward to this. I paid a deposit and trying to pay the rest but despite at least 20 calls, 4 emails,nobody has had the decency to get back to me because I don’t have the details to pay the balance.worried now that we won’t have a place to stay when we arrive

Great central location so can walk to alot of places rather than taxis/ubers.Clean and tidy and beds were comfy. We also booked a make up artist through istay for the bride and they were amazing. When phoning to check in we were also offered free tickets to a drag show and it was absolutely amazing. Cannot thank IStay enough it has been perfect weekend.
