The Aguara Hotel & Spa is in itself a nice little hotel with a manageable number of rooms. The check in was quick and uncomplicated (communication only in Spanish). Also, the outdoor area is nicely designed (the pool for example) The breakfast was small but nice. It tasted good. Also, the reception is staffed 24 hours a day. Now to the negative points. The whole hotel needs a renovation. You can find everywhere broken walls, light mold, old carpets etc.... The maintenance is unfortunately very poor. Also the room cleaning. Our bed sheets had e.g. still stains from the previous. Also, in the two days we stayed there was no housekeeping. That means we had to get our own towels and the room was not cleaned. The wifi is a disaster. It only worked at a certain point in the open air. It would be useful to install an air conditioner that can be controlled from the room. Currently there is only one centrally controlled and you have to call the reception to activate it. The rooms are also very noisy. You can hear not only other guests, but also the water pipes. The equipment of the so-called gym is very bad. There were 3 devices which also did not look useful. We did not use the spa area. The rooms are nice and the bathroom is large. Only the cleanliness and maintenance is very poor. All in all, you can stay here for 1-2 days, as long as you only sleep in the hotel. The price is very good.

The hotel is old, the spa is on the second floor, there is no staff there to assist you nor a phone number to request it, you have to bring your towel from the room and if it gets wet, it is obvious to request another one from the room, you don't even have a jug of water to drink neither in the gym nor in the spa, when in both the sauna and the hydro hydration is essential to replenish fluid, the Scottish shower is conspicuous by its absence, it is a completely common shower and they do not even shampoo or soap. At night they turn off the air conditioning even though you ask them to turn it on again. In the bathroom with no exit to the outside, there is no one or it does not work because it does not have the key, the extractor, when I took a bath I had nowhere to put on my makeup or put on my glasses because the mirror was all fogged up, it also does not have a hair dryer.

The spa shower had a broken floor, needless to say we did not use the "free" sauna and jacuzzi service. Good continental breakfast, underground parking that we did not use, friendly staff, which is not enough to provide a minimum of comfort to the client. We went for a Despegar exchange for a trip that we could not take due to the pandemic and it was the only hotel that Despegar offered us at a high cost, unfortunately. I attach some photos. Beautiful place with trees. Room of 10. Central heating. The only thing is that there is only one small bar for fast food. Spa is on shift. Half an hour per room. Includes hydro, Scottish shower and sauna. There is also a 7n gym. Very good breakfast, all homemade.
