Back Bay Inn

From start to finish, our overnight stay was excellent: extremely helpful receptionist (Elizabeth), complimentary glass of high quality wine, quiet/spacious/comfortable room, firm king -sized bed. The view onto the bay is superb, as is the landscaping. $7 coupons towards breakfast at adjacent Nautical Bean café was an added bonus.

With past stays at an AirBNB and at the Baywood Inn we love Los Osos and Baywood Park is where we have long had family ties. We needed a last-minute place to stay and chose a “garden room.” It appears to be a modernized motel room — facing parking with an assigned spot and the fire pits of the hip new Mirazur restaurant. Yet it’s super cozy, quiet and has all of the basic amenities. There is someone at the office across the day to help (Baywood Inn did not in 2021). Wine and cheese at 4:30 overlooking the tranquil bay was nice. AM choice is using a $7 voucher at the exceptional Nautical Bean on property. About a 20-minute drive from SLO, we couldn’t have been more pleased.

A very calm, comforting, agreeable place. Great view of the bay just so close to our patio door. Deena at the front desk really put it together for us. We rarely book directly with hotels but with Deena it was the way to go. They have a wide variety of rooms and she made sure to put us in the one that best suited our needs. We're locals (Paso) and this is a better place to stay than Morro Bay. We'll be back.

This is a great place. Quiet, away from the crowds with great views, yet minutes away from Morro Bay and restaurants within walking distance. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Bed was comfortable. I will definitely return.

Excellent...Excellent Excellent Everyone should take a weekend away at the Bay Back Inn. Beautiful weather, wonderful food, the friendliest, best staff. The beds are comfortable. Coffee and breakfast were perfect. La Palapas, across the street was yummy. Montana de Oro is so much fun. Just don't take our weekend. A magical place. Just what we needed to end the summer.

It was our third visit to the Back Bay Inn. It’s right on the bay with beautiful views of the bay and surrounded by lovely gardens. You get vouchers for breakfast at Nautical Bean right on the property. It’s very peaceful and quiet. The rooms are clean and have new bathrooms.

The staff bent over backwards to try to accommodate some special needs for us. We are so appreciative! We were in town to help care for our daughter post-surgery and the staff even picked some flowers from the property for us to bring to her!! The room was large and the setting very private and relaxing. Nearby restaurants were very convenient.

We visited Back Bay Inn for 2 nights on the recommendation of a friend who had previously visited. We were very pleased. We had a very large, corner room with a view of the bay and sunset. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom pretty large and there was a lot of space to place suitcases and hang up clothing. There is wine and light snacks available each evening and several places to sit outside of the room. We were given coupons of $7.00 each to use at a coffee shop that is essentially on the property. The food there is very good as is the coffee. There were lots of places to sit outside and eat. We did that once and on another morning brought the food back to our room as there was a small table and 2 chairs. The persons at the front desk were friendly and welcoming. The hotel is nicely situated near the Paso Robles wine country and near a lovely state park. We would stay here again for sure.

Beautiful setting waterfront on the bay, surrounded by a lush garden and walkable to nearby food and drink. Rooms are large, mine had a fireplace, plus they do free cocktail hours for all guests each afternoon. Jamie Dcott is the new general manager and she was extremely helpful with our plans for the area and a very special person. All of the staff we met there were friendly and really seemed to enjoy their work. Loved it!
