I have visited Luang Prabang several times and Elephant Boutique Hotel is always my top choice. The rooms are very comfortable and always incredibly clean. The AC/fan are great and the water is hot and a good pressure. Breakfast is delicious and very good value — lots of coffee, juice, fruit, western or Lao choices. At night, it is quiet and you get a great night’s sleep. Easy to come back later (for bowling…) or leave early in the morning (for the monks etc) if needed. Most importantly, the owners are fantastic. They are very welcoming, trustworthy and honest. They can take care of any request: tours, transport (trains and buses), laundry, money exchange, city tips etc. They have always proved reliable. I would reccomend this place to anyone visiting Luang Prabang — value for money it is fantastic.

The girl at the reception was very very nice and helpful. We booked our excursions here and he also bought us train tickets to go to Vientiane. Obviously there is better but, for the price paid, that's okay ... we had a good time. The room was clean and spacious. Sufficient breakfast, you can choose one thing to eat and one to drink from the long list and in addition they also bring fresh fruit and fruit juice. Good wifi. NEGATIVE NOTES: the window overlooked the wall of the house next door (very close) and there was nothing to place suitcases or backpacks on top. We had to keep everything on the ground... Yet it would take very little to improve!
