We had a lovely stay in the Beach House which is 3 miles from the main hotel. Room 303 has an amazing view from the room with a patio which is nice to sit out, although not particularly peaceful due to the busy road. The room is lovely and really big - there is plenty of space for some additional/bigger furniture - the tables were tiny and there were no shelves/drawers/hooks which was odd and would make a real difference. As expected after reading other reviews, the rooms are not sound proof and the doors close extremely loudly - even with earplugs it woke me up with a jump when a neighbour closed their door! There were some frustrations before we arrived when trying to book the restaurant - our online booking didn't save, it took over 2 weeks of emails to get the booking confirmed, there was confusion over prices because they weren't up to date on the app/website, and when I called to check restaurant availability I was told there wasn't any, only to find out later that there was. The staff were generally helpful although not very attentive in the restaurant - we went for morning tea (which was delicious and a great option for a later breakfast/brunch!) and were the only people in the whole restaurant. There were at least 4 members of staff stood talking but we asked for a bottle of water 3 times and the bill twice. In the end we went to the bar ourselves and got the water. Our only other suggestion would be to have more information at the Beach House as it does feel a bit cut off, for example it wasn't clear that we could drive down the narrow road to it, or that we could park outside of it, so we left the car in The Inn car park. We also didn't know if there would be housekeeping or how we could get more tea/coffee for the room. A neighbour walked onto our patio and asked if it was communal and we didn't know the answer, although looking at the room description online it says the room has a private patio but this wasn't clear. More signage and information would be helpful given there are no staff on site. Other than that we had a lovely time, were lucky with the weather and would return!
