I regret to say that this is the worst place I have ever stayed at. It must not have been upgraded since the Eighties or earlier. The room is very small, the bathroom is tiny, there are only two very old plugs, one above the middle of the bed and one next to the entrance (none close to the tiny desk, which is by the bathroom door). The wifi doesn't work. I have a recent phone and none of the 3 wifi lines worked. The first night there was no hot water. The shower holder was broken and we had to hold the cheap shower head in our hand. The room gave to the interior light-well of the building where all the air conditioning engines are located. Therefore, we heard their noise all night long. The window is very old and not double glaze. The worst was the bed. Very small (hard to consider it a double bed) and with a mattress that was probably 30 years old, extremely uncomfortable and completely worn-out. So, between the noise and the bed it was absolutely impossible to sleep. To have the room cleaned you must put the sign ”please clean the room” on the door, otherwise they don't clean it. But as no one bothers to inform you about that (does it take much to mention it when the guests arrive or to put a sign inside the bedroom?) if you don't put the sign, your room will not be cleaned. Now, if I had paid 40 Euros per night for this room, I wouldn't complain. But for 100 Euros per night, this place is a rip off. We went to complain the first night and the guy at the reception said that he couldn't do anything and that we had to talk to the manager the following day. We did, and she said that ”no one had ever complained”, which is something I find very hard to believe.... So: old place, tiny, not clean (there were pieces of chocolate on the wardrobe shelf), very noisy, totally uncomfortable. Does it take much to replace mattresses so guests can at least rest better? Just this shows how this place works. Avoid it.

It's a little bit inside from Granbia Street. It is all over the city, so it is not troublesome for meals, sightseeing and shopping. The front desk is very kind. Is it a little small at a price? I thought it was large and beautiful. I just worried that there were several hairs in the bathroom... I borrowed it at the front desk because I didn't have a hair dryer. About amenities, only solid soap, shampoo, rinse and body soap. It was very good without the unstable connection to Wi-Fi.

The hotel is very good and very comfortable and is very comfortable and very comfortable. The room was cold when we arrived but they immediately resolved the air conditioning problem that didn't connect it because of a bad contact. Finally, I recommend, excellent service, good price and quality, excellent location.

Perfect location, nice clean rooms and great service from all of the staff. It is less than a 5 min walk from the Grand Via metro station and beyond from there. If not, a 20 min walk (get your steps in!) to most places in the centre which we would recommend. Breakfast was very good and will set you up for the day for sure. Best shower so far on our trip (over 20 cities) and the taxi to and from the airport is a 20-30 min ride for a set 30 Euros each way. Would not just recommend it, but we will be returning to The Walt Madrid on our next stay in this wonderful city.

Enjoyed my stay here. Location is just off the Grand Via. Their is a communal entrance from the square. There is a small lift available. The room was small but adequate for my needs, after all I was there to explore the city and not stay in the room. It was clean, WiFi worked, bed was comfortable. I was situated around the rear if the property but the larger rooms overlooked the square. Highlight was the shower (in the room) powerful with various settings. Reception were efficient. If you want a reasonable priced room when exploring the city, I recommend. Please click helpful if you found this review useful
