Overall we stayed in 3 rooms - the first we rejected after one night because the shower was unacceptable with an awful smell of drains emanating from it and there was no bath as alternative. The second they moved us to was much better with bath in the room but it had a shower cubicle which again smelled of drains - we didn't use it. The 3 rd room was a luxury duplex suite after we'd left the city and returned for one more night - yet again the shower smelt awful and they had to send the housekeeper up to pour disinfectant down it. They blamed rain but it hadn't rained on all the days - I blame the construction of the showers - marble slabs with gaps in between where dirt and mould was visible - frankly quite awful. We found the hotel otherwise a bit strange in layout but comfortable, nice terrace bar/restaurant and a good buffet and cooked breakfast. Staff were helpful except for young lady who suggested I needed 40 minutes or more for taxi to train station - I got there in under 5 minutes !

As a whole, this property is excellent. My family and I stayed here for one week in April 2022. We stayed in a two bedroom suite on the sixth floor, which was clean, comfortable, and had great views of the Plaza Colon. Amenities were stocked well and things were replenished well daily (expected, but often not delivered in hotels). We were also given access to a lounge on the seventh floor that served breakfast each day and snacks, which was a fun break from sightseeing. Elevators are very slow and small, but that is to be expected of a hotel this age. The location is decent, but not amazing. You are at least 0.7 kms from all the major sightseeing, so be prepared for 25 minute walks each way or use the metro. The reason why this hotel did not earn a 5/5 was because of what happened on the final day of our trip. When we returned, there was a leak in the ceiling dripping water into one of the rooms. It turned out that the water was coming from a terrace jacuzzi and that it was not fixable. We were moved to a lower quality room (same layout, but lower quality) on the first floor (note to hotels: never downgrade your guest). The staff also seemed unapologetic and did not offer any compensation for our trouble. This left us with a sour taste in our mouth and ruined what could have otherwise been an extremely enjoyable stay. Overall, I'd recommend this hotel, but there are definitely other solid options out there too.

It is a European-style hotel, simple and elegant, quiet and comfortable, it is suitable for travelers who enjoy authentic European style. Western breakfast is very good (provided that you like western food), the outdoor part of the breakfast restaurant is not big but the original European style is very good, the big bed is a double bed, the big bed is no longer necessary for the children to have an extra bed. I did not charge for the child's accommodation at the time of check-in. The hotel does not have a parking lot. The only drawback is that it is a little far from the city center and the museum area. It takes about 10 Euros for a taxi. The hotel does not have a swimming pool!

The restaurant is very elegant, silver utensils, breakfast is rich in variety, we are travelling with parents, so the hotel gave us two rooms to the door, and there are doors outside the door to ensure privacy, near the hotel is the Lichi Park. There are subways in the surrounding area. This old hotel has no service and management. The room is quite big. The price is considered to be very high in the luxury hotel. The most satisfactory hotel in Spain is the Wellington Hotel.

I really love this hotel. I welcome cakes and bear candy on the first day. It is delicious, and the quality of the toiletries is very good. The hotel has a free mobile internet, a deposit of 200 Euros, and a refund. The breakfast area is small but it is really pleasant. Sitting on the balcony and enjoying the sun and tea, it is full of holiday. I will definitely stay again next time.

Great time at hotel roof at cosy bar. Really helps when downtown everything keeps the heat: pavement and buildings. Nice Cold glass of Cava and beautiful view from above. Many thanks to hotel staff being so friendly, hospitable, and ceremonial. It counts nowadays twice, when many do not care about good manners. I can recommend Villa Vinci as a highly agreeable and enjoyable place to stay. Last but not least it has a strategic location at Calle Gran Via, which always guarantees you a “place to be”.

Definitely a very good option to stay in Madrid, I’m staying here in December that I go back there. The room 109 that we were assigned was not up to the price. The microwave oven in poor condition and with evidence of burnt paint on its door; The water did not flow in both the sink and the sink; We had to request immediate repair. This lovely hotel is truly a gem. We just finished a 10 day stay and loved the entire staff. The hotel had a boutique charm to it, modern and cozy. The hotel restaurant has very nice breakfasts and at night a bar and light fare as well. The hotel is located in one of the most vibrant areas of Madrid. Outdoor and indoor cafes, shops and restaurants. The Prado and Sorolla Museums are within walking distance or a quick 5-10 minute cab ride. Cabs are very reasonable and Uber as well. Madrid is an extremely fun walkable city. We totally enjoyed both museums. Joaquin Sorolla was an extraordinary artist in the impressionist style. The museum is housed in his magnificent original mansion. We found the Madrid people friendly and helpful. We would choose the AC Recoletos again if we return to Madrid.

No Wi-Fi password for the room was provided at check-in, and when we called and asked, we were told to send an email to us, and we never received this email.
