We have just returned from the most relaxing resort I have ever been to. We stayed in a junior suite and the private pool was fabulous. All the staff, from the moment we arrived, couldn’t have done more for us and were so accommodating and helpful. Check in was very quick and efficient and we were helped with our bags to our room. The hotel is set in gorgeous surroundings on a hillside overlooking the sea and there is a regular bus that takes you to their beach every 30 minutes or so throughout the day, as well as a taxi service for €9 return that takes you to the town of Rethymno. Really easy and quick to book cleaning for the next day. Just a few taps on their website. The cleaners left the room spotless and were really friendly. Do your research before you come here - if you’re looking for a lively hotel with entertainment every night, this is not the place for you. There is entertainment in the square twice a week - when we were there, there was greek dancing and a Latin night and the staff really make it fun. If you want a peaceful, serene holiday with picturesque surroundings then you will adore this. There are three pools, all with fantastic views and always spare sun beds. I have seen reviews where there are complaints about a tourist tax - I thought this was well known and we were aware of it before we arrived. This is also not hotel specific - it is set by the government. Food was aplenty and there was lots of variety to suit everyone. It is replaced regularly and everything is delicious and fresh, with lots of traditional greek food, as well as dishes to cater to the less adventurous. There are two main restaurants and three bars set around the hotel so you’re always close by, regardless of where your room is in the complex. When we checked out and our bands were taken off, we were told that we could still help ourselves to food and drink in the restaurant Villani until it was time to leave which was incredibly kind of them. We will definitely be returning, thank you for such a wonderful holiday!

Just back from the most gorgeous relaxing week in thus resort. We stayed in a junior suite with private pool. The room and pool were gorgeous very clean and perfect for what we needed. First time going all Inclusive and after reading through some reviews we were a little apprehensive about how we would find it. However the food was gorgeous plenty of choices at all sittings. The staff were very friendy, happy and attentive and nothing was ever too much. Please note though we heard quite a few people complaining that they didn't know they had to pay €10 per night per room in cash for the tax. We were made aware of this via our booking on love holidays though. We also heard people's complaining that the spa treatments weren't included in the holiday and any treatments were to pay for extra....again we were made aware of this before hand. Overall a gorgeous resort with three separate pools loads of chilled out terraces and seating areas and self serve beer, wine an soft drinks. I wouldn't say its a massive party holiday as there is only entertainment time per week but again this was described as a romantic relaxing holiday and that's exactly what we found. Can't wait to come back again.

I cannot stress enough that this hotel is NOT a 5* at all. We would rate it a 3* at most but a local taxi driver told us that in Greece it is classed as a 2* so that says it all. Arrival We arrived at the hotel around 11pm on the 14th April. On check in we was sat down with the manger who showed us a list of the rules/opening times etc and told us to read them there. I was too tired to read it all so I took a photo instead. She then told us we had to pay €10 per night per room for city tax so that was €140 for us as we had two rooms for a 7 night stay. This did come as a shock to us as there was no mention of the city tax and we were told it had to be paid in cash, as card payment is not accepted for city tax. We didn’t say anything and just paid it there and then as we was too tired to bother, and just wanted to rest. We was then showed to our rooms by a member of reception. We had been travelling for over 10hrs so we was hungry, thirsty and tired. On the list they showed us, stated that we could order room service. Which despite paying for all inclusive is €5 for the service plus the cost of any items you order. (so be aware of this as it’s not included in your all inclusive) So we placed the order at 23:30 room service stops at 1am as stated in the rules. So at 00:45 and still no food or drink, we decided to call reception. The card says to press option 9 to get through, the only problem is they have no phones in any of the rooms to call them!! So using our mobiles instead we called them. A guy at reception answered and said that he will call the bar to see where our food was. He then came back to us, and said sorry room service stops at 00:30 so we said but on the list your manager provided to us on arrival it states 1am and we ordered it at 23:30pm Anyway, we wasn’t allowed anything so we had to go without. The shop was also shut so we had no choice but to wait it out until morning. Food Food is not good at all. Myself and my husband had bad stomachs for 2 days from eating it. The eggs are slimy and under cooked and everything just tastes awful and cold. We was too scared to touch any meat after suffering from bad stomachs, so We lived off of chip rolls for the rest of the week. The soft drinks are also flat. There are flys absolutely everywhere crawling all over the food, the tables and the windows and you are bating them away whilst eating. This is particularly bad in the downstairs pool areas where you can get pizzas and sandwich’s during the day. Now I know it can’t be helped entirely but there is nothing to try to deter them. No food covers of any sort or fly traps in sight. That to me is majorly off putting, a load of fly’s vomiting all over the food you’re expected to eat!! Absolutely vile!! Alcoholic drinks for spirits start at 7pm and end at 22:50pm you can get cocktails that are pre mixed and taste awful or some flat larger. But that’s your lot. Here the food is AMAZING all inclusive with a great breakfast,lunch and dinner.Tons of public pools and private pools,park,on site shop and shuttle buses to take you to the beach and the town. Amazing views and sunsets. I totally recommend going with friends,family,partners.

The reception staff on arrival were extremely rude, we arrived late maybe 2am and were greeted being told we were clearly intoxicated and this is not good and they didn't want to check us in, we was not drunk, we had a few drinks on the way like every 31 year old couple would, after 2 hours in the transfer and plenty of water we arrived tired and annoyed with the transfer we had as we had to listen to the woman on the phone speaking Greek for 2 hours, we was told to come in the morning to check in properly and when we did we was met with whispers and awkwardness as the staff were chatting among themselves (maybe 4 women 2 men, all without a smile, all rude and not great english) they then went on to say, they do not tolerate people being drunk at all, and we will be kicked out if this occurs! This was before I even gave over our passports, we tried to laugh and make a joke saying if we were drunk then we don't know what drunk is! As I'm sure they have had alot worse, as we r on holiday! Doesn't everybody have a few drinks on the way!! The women were rude, stone faced, didn't say good morning ever, didn't smile, everything seemed like a effort for them! We then got told we had 70euro bedroom tax, which is fine but we were told to get cash out for this, which felt strange as wasn't told this! We was also meant to be taken to our room in the buggy as it was so late and all up hill with luggage, we didn't get this treatment. We also didn't get told about a shower room booking on the last day but that's just another reception issue! Everytime u walked thru u felt uncomfortable like everybody was judging u for being in a bikini covered by a dress or towel as if u didn't have this they wouldn't let u walk thru. The shop on site has friendly staff, the bar by the main pools is just full of flies, u have the choice of maybe 5 cocktails which r all out of the pre made cocktail cartons, the ice gives u a belly ache and the cocktails make u feel ill, they r not strong at all there's no point, the colouring just upsets ur stomach. The beer on draft was worse then fosters my partner said! And the glasses were dirty, the wine takes like actual Vinegar, and I can drink bad drinks if I'm tipsy but u couldn't even get thru a glass without throwing away! The rooms r adequate although I heard a few rows around us, sounding like fights, no security there, but we was warned of security when we checked in! When u saw a staff member u had no good morning like usual abroad they all hung around together chatting whenever u came thru, I witnessed rudeness to a few people! The food was awful, we had one nice thing, meatballs, everything else was surrounded by flies, all low budget fruit and pasties, even the fizzy soft drinks u help yourself to were so carbonated they hurt ur throat. I had a upset stomach after anything I tried to eat or drink there, it's 25 euros into the old town back and forth and the cabs take their time and no air con, they don't like taking card they

Myself and my partner stayed here for a week for his birthday. We received incredible customer service from Nicky at the restaurant and then two girls working behind Diesi bar (one has blonde hair normally in a bun and one has long brown hair). Nicky was amazing with the children around the resort and also was so polite and happy to help whenever was needed. She personally helped a family out with their son every night, keeping him entertained and made sure he was always smiling. She was very attentive and so lovely to speak to. The girls behind the diesi bar were so lovely aswell, both the girls who served me always remembered my order and were very smiley and friendly. We’ve had the best week here and have already discussed returning. As well as this we were absolutely thrilled with our room allocation, our room was situated overlooking the adult only pool and restaurant with stunning sea views, myself and my partner sat on our balcony every evening. The girls at reception were happy to help me organise an outing for my partners birthday, sending me the menu for the partnered restaurant at the beach when I couldn’t access it, as well as booking us a table there. Spa was lovely, really romantic treat for my partner for his birthday. We’ve thoroughly enjoyed our time here and can’t thank the staff enough. Please don’t listen to the bad reviews as this hotel is fabulous. Thank you, Lauren :)

I have spent a week here and loved every moment of it, the staff have been really friendly and helpful throughout the week. I found out towards the end of the week the name of the front of house at the main restaurant was Nicky, she has been really nice, greets everyone with a smile and always happy to help someone if they need it. The food itself has been amazing and you can always find something that you like at the counter. I will say I helped myself to the pizza a little too much but being freshly stone baked who can say no to that! The spa onsite has everything that you could need or want within it, I had a back and neck massage, if you have knots in your back they do know how to get them out. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Really friendly and accommodating staff ready if you needed them. food and drink was really nice and available all day. Variety of pools with different vibes and lovely views. Buggy’s available to and from rooms as the resort is large, very beautiful would recommend.

Really beautiful hotel with nice views everywhere especially by the pools. Staff was really nice and happy to help with anything that was needed. Food was also really worth all inclusive. Always lunch at any time and breakfast and dinner is lovely.

Just WOW.... where to start! Myself and my new husband visited this resort for our honeymoon and we cannot find even one fault with it. The staff are extremely friendly, they make their guests feel comfortable and welcome, and are always putting themselves out to help you. When we arrived for check in the receptionists were lovely and helpful and they informed us of all the information we needed very clearly and we were then escorted to our room with another member of staff taking our luggage for us. Second of all, the rooms are beautiful! They are very well presented, tidy, spacious and overall have a wonderful atmosphere. The main restaurant was by far our favourite experience as the staff were very kind, interactive and made everyday a wonderful experience. The food was delicious and has a lot of variety ranging from salads, meats, pizzas, pasta etc. They even catered for my husband who has a nut allergy and we had no issues. The pools were lovely and there was an adults only pool for if you want to have a relaxing quiet day! On day of departure we had a long wait before our transfer to the airport, and was a very hot day. The staff allowed us to stay on site after checkout so we could stay occupied and had enough to eat and drink during our wait. There's so many more positive things that we'd like to put in this review but it would take ages to read! We both highly recommend this hotel and will definitely come back. A huge thank you to every member of staff for making this the best experience for us. We both agree that this has been our favourite holiday!

My family and I arrived to the resort quite late with about 20 minutes before the buffet was supposed to close and they graciously stayed open a little longer so we could have a meal. The food was delicious and changed options for every meal giving us a variety of different things to try each day. The view during our meal was breathtaking, especially since the weather was lovely. On top of that, all of the staff members were extremely kind and courteous making our experience in Greece much more memorable.

The entire resort is beautiful and clean with many things to do in the area. All the staff members were extremely patient, helpful, and courteous with all our needs. There was a variety of food options for every meal each day and it was all delicious and filling. Another thing that was extremely helpful was that the staff was able to arrange a taxi to come pick us up from the resort and take us where we needed to go. There are also shuttle buses that are able to take you to and from the beach and even into the city. My family and I really enjoyed our stay here and we would highly recommend this place to others.

Our villa was very clean, spacious, and even had a private pool. The villa itself had more than enough room to accommodate my family and me. The beds are very comfortable and very fitting for a good night’s rest. From the pool, we were able to see a beautiful view of the hills and mountains reaching out to the sea. The pool was cool and clean, and we noticed that it gets cleaned daily for our use. It was a nice way to wind down after a long day in the hot sun, and we got to see the sunset over the horizon.

We have just had the most amazing holiday at the rimondi! We did all inclusive and the food was varied every day with so much to choose from. And was just like home cooking. The staff were very friendly and helpful and as I had mobility issues were available with a little golf buggy to take me wherever I wanted to go. Although I must say it is built into the mountainside and not recommended if you have walking difficulties. This was the only downside for us. There's entertainment every weeknight, but nothing on at weekends, however for free the hotel put on a free shuttle to a private beach with sunbeds and a cocktail bar( not free for drinks) In the hotel room we had, the bed is super sized and has the fluffiest pillows ever! We had 2 terraces one off the living area, and one off the bedroom. There's 3 pools including a kids water world pool, with 3 restaurants and bars serving food and drinks all day, no proper drinks till 7 pm though apart from raki ouzo house wines and beer. So it can be very peaceful and no loud partying, the perfect escape for a rest! We also used the wellness area and had a lovely massage for €65 each with use of the pool jacuzzi steam room and sauna afterwards....omg what can I say! Amazing!!!! There's a little shop at the top and an ATM at the entrance but you will need to use the lift, the stairs are very steep. There's a wraparound linen and jewellery shop (which is very expensive) located below reception but nice if you want to treat yourself. We have had a lovely time and will return in years to come ...oh! And for €9 each there's also a return shuttle service into rethymno town which has everything you need with all amenities which I highly recommend.
