Stone Court House

The accomodation is charming, one of a kind and feels grand. The owner and his partner are very approachable and accomodating. The location is so handy to Maidstone and next door to lovely restaurants. A lovely experience.

We had a lovely time staying at Stone Court House, the room was very spacious and very clean. It was a nice peaceful environment and check in was easy enough. I would definitely recommend staying here and will be returning in the future.

I enjoyed the one night when I stayed in Stone Court House. My bedroom was pretty and comfortable and it is the first time that I have slept in a four poster bed! I appreciated the tea making facilities and the handsome ambience of the whole ground floor area. The key situation worked well and I think that the owners have created a wonderful transformation of this old house.

Great interior, comfortable bedroom, would stay again, easy check in and like walking into a country manor house, easy access to shops and entertainment so everything pretty much on the doorstep... A1

Easy to check in and out, clear instructions given. Beautiful building and rooms nicely decorated. Not a lot of noise from street outside. Amenities were good, very clean and welcoming. Could not hear noise from neighbouring rooms.

This was our second visit and we cannot praise it enough. Stone Court House truly is a hidden gem. Despite its unpromising location on a busy road, once inside, guests are transported into a quieter, gracious time. Music plays in the hall (you can choose from a selection of cds or play your own) and guests are encouraged to make use of the varied spaces with comfy chairs and sofas, games and tvs, a large dining room and small patio garden. At present no meals are available but crockery and glasses are provided if you bring your own food. A wide range of drinks and snacks are available in room service. The bedrooms are attractively designed and furnished with antiques and period-style four poster beds, extremely comfortable with satin sheets. Future plans include providing breakfast and other meals, developing a microbrewery and possibly a pool, but for now, it offers an unique sense of peace and privacy that is in itself very appealing. Stone Court has been sensitively restored to reflect its 700 years of history and offers a warm welcome. Prices are very reasonable for the quality of experience. My husband and I love this place!

Hotel is in a grotty part of Maidstone but when you enter you are transformed into a wonderful experience. Rooms are clean, elegant and have a great 4 poster bed. There are lots of places downstairs to sit, read, watch tv and just relax, all very tastefully decorated. Down side is no parking. There is a multi story about 5 mins walk away for £9 overnight. Not sure about removing shoes at the doorway and not being able to wear in the room. Also no bar or breakfast. That said, we loved it and it felt very upmarket and special.

Very welcoming, the building has been renovated to an amazing standard. Lots of history. Large rooms. Very clean. My only negative point on a personal note was the bedding, satin sheets in the heat are not good, most uncomfortable and the pillows were flat and basic. Other than that a lovely place.
