Majestic Palace

We stayed here last summer for a week with our two children - 2 and 4. What a fabulous hotel, spotlessly clean, stunning views, such friendly staff and brilliant breakfast. The things for kids to do are excellent. There’s two pools, trampoline, tennis, mini golf. I love that the trampoline etc is locked and can only be used by one family at a time. It’s nice and quiet and not like a huge resort overrun with screaming kids. Location-wise, I would say you really need a car. I wouldn’t want to have been relying on the shuttle in and out of town and it’s quite a walk. We will definitely return to this hotel in future.

the one star is a reflection of the way the manager treats his guests, the hotel is lovely unless you have a issue, ours was that the air condition unit was leaking & made our room smell like a drain, we had to keep visiting the reception they was ok & eventually said we can move to another room, the Manager then got involved, he became very aggressive & defensive of his hotel, we tried to tell him it wasn't his hotel & he should come up to the room, he then spoke to his staff in Italian then told us he didn't believe my wife. picture below shows proof of engineers working on the unit, they told me the room stuck & there was an issue, 900 euro for 5 nights & not even an apology.

Friendly, stunning scenery, excellent food and drink. Our family room was very comfortable and nothing was a bother to the hotel staff. Kids club very good and inclusive as the hotel is very mixed re clientele. Wonderful stay. Have been twice and would highly recommend.

It’s a resort like property that has everything for families. It is clearly a place that families with young children favour and we could see why. The hotel is beautiful and pretty large. The included breakfast had everything you could wish for and more. The hotel is a about a 1.5 km walk to the city but there is a shuttle you can take during the day. The city nearby, Malcesine is a wonderful vibrant city with tons of little shops. Lake Garda is breath taking and the views from the hotel was incredible.

Stayed here for 7 nights..was a bit concerned after reading some of the reviews. My holiday was a bit last minute,and hotel choices were few. Wouldn't have been what I would normally choose, 2 reasons, a bit far from town, and I don't do half board. On my arrival, was very impressed with cleanliness, and staff all very welcoming, polite and professional. I had a superior room ( 319 ) and was very pleased with the large balcony and beautiful lake and mountain views. The room was big ( for 1 ). Breakfast was plentiful, had everything you would need, cereals, yoghurt, fresh fruit, bacon, eggs, toast, jams, pretty much everything, in a large bright airy restaurant. Not a fan of half board but gave it a try on odd evenings I had paid I suppose. Mixed reviews, starters ok, desserts lovely, wasn't keen on the main dishes, but personal choice. Beer, wine, soft drinks on tap. Great for families around cost. There's a shuttle bus service, but you pay €1. Walking down to the town is doable, walking back up a bit more difficult in heat, but there is a tourist bus which is very handy !!! Overall, I was impressed and would recommend this hotel..

Our second time visiting as family with two boys (17 & 15), the first back in 2019 so we didn't know what to expect as it was our first holiday after covid. But it didn't disappoint, the Majestic Palace really is a wonderful hotel, in a great location about 15/20 min walk to the centre of a really beautiful town called Malcesine. The hotel has everything that you need, outdoor pools and an indoor pool, play area for kids and the surroundings are just spectacular. Plenty of outside room and lots of sunbeds (we had breakfast at 9:30 and there was still lots of sunbeds to use). Food was delicious, we had breakfast and lunch and an odd dinner if we didnt eat in Malcesine. There's a lovely restaurant across the road (mostly meat and another one 5 minutes to the right (pasta and pizza) but what really makes the hotel are its employees. They work so hard to make everyone's stay a good one and they greet you with a smile every day. We had the pleasure of talking with some of the bar staff at night time, they are seasonal workers, some from Italy and some from other Countries, but they are a massive credit to the hotel. I would totally recommend this hotel and would go back to it in a heartbeat. Grazie Mille Majestic Palace.

I came to this hotel with my boyfriends family for his cousins wedding. The hotel was great. The rooms were clean and we had a beautiful view of the lake. The reception staff were very welcoming upon arrival. The shuttle bus into the centre was very helpful as the hotel is on a hill so it can be quite a hard walk, especially in the heat. We didn’t go all inclusive but we loved the lunch you could buy. Could not fault anything!

This hotel is set in a quiet area outside of Malcesine at the foot of the mountains. The reception staff were very welcoming and did all they could to make my stay memorable. The room which had a balcony was spacious and spotless. The buffet restaurant had a varied selection of food and the staff were pleasant, attentive and professional particularly Antonella who is an asset to the restaurant with her friendly outgoing personality. The pool area was never too crowded and the pool is easily accessible for those who may have difficulty. There are gardens which are very well maintained and were very quiet; I enjoyed listening to the wild birds. There is a minibus which runs regularly to and from Malcesine for a small charge. The Majestic is ideal for both adults and families alike. My time at the hotel was very enjoyable and I would certainly stay there again.

We were greeted by lovely Rosaria in reception who gave us all of the information we required. Although we had turned up 3 hours early, our fabulous room 114 with it's enormous balcony was ready for us. After settling in, we went to the poolside to receive our free welcome drink from the wonderful GianMarco. The main hotel is old but adequately equipped. We wondered why facilities such as restaurant, bar and pool were so enormous, until we saw the newer extensions at the rear with many more attractions such as 3 more pools, crazy golf and tennis. Several points to note which may be a problem to some: It is described as a hotel for families and most certainly was, so small children were everywhere and particular loud at the outdoor pool. The location of the hotel is a 25 minute downhill walk to town, and 35 back uphill, with very little in between, although the hotel runs an hourly courtesy bus during the day for 1 Euro each way. Finally, many reviews mentioned free wine and beer with evening meal, which is now no longer the case. It didn't bother us as B&B guests, but when we were tempted into the restaurant on a particularly rainy night, the younger waitresses were rather over zealous and were taking away our paid for glasses of wine each time we went back to the buffet. The excellent senior restaurant staff will be able to address this training issue. Be aware that in Malcesine overall and within this hotel, English is most definitely a 3rd language, and sometimes communication was difficult, but nothing could spoil a wonderful holiday in this friendly hotel with spectacular surroundings.
