Hotel Europa

We stayed at Hotel Europa in Marostica for 9 nights in September. We stayed in room 129 which was a large, modern, comfortable room facing the main road and had fantastic views of the town walls. There was a little noise from local traffic but not enough to keep you awake at nights. There was ample space to hang clothes but a lack of drawers. There was a room safe, stocked mini fridge (with comlimtary bottles of mineral water which was replenished each day). There was a desk area and sitting area, wall mounted TV, free Wi-Fi, air con. There were not tea/coffee making facilities on arrival but when we asked, they supplied us with a kettle and some cups. We brought our own coffee. There was a large, modern bathroom with walk-in shower, a few complimentary toiletries, nice big towels which were changed daily, hair dryer and bidet. They do not offer a laundry service. Breakfast offered a reasonable selection of continental buffet. The restaurant at this hotel was not operational during out stay. I think it was used only for large functions. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is in an excellent location just outside the town walls. There was free parking.

Unfortunately we did not enjoy our stay in the hotel room, we could not get the stench of smoke out of it. Otherwise basic and good breakfast. Unfortunately for quality of the room we do not find this worth it and also therefore cannot see this as a good price for quality stay.
