Hotels near Rotisserie de la Paix in Marrakech

We checked in to our deluxe room, and it was a horrible stay. First off, the deluxe room building is the furthest building away from the hotel, and by the time we get to our room, the view from our balcony is of a construction site and parking lot. Our room had a particularly strong vinegar smell to it, and we asked to move rooms. We were told that every deluxe room was sold out and we would be able to move rooms the next day. Next day comes around and we didn’t hear from the hotel. Every call to guest services took at least 3-5 minutes until someone answered or called back. We also came back to our hotel room unlocked, and it seemed housekeeping didn’t truly close our door when they cleaned it. On our last night, the A/C didn’t seem to work. We called guest services and the lady I spoke to told me that it was turned off for the whole hotel. When asked why or when will it be turned back on, she abruptly interrupts me and says I’m transferring you to the front desk. I waited for at least 2 minutes on the phone before someone from the front desk to answer my call, and he informs me that someone will come check our A/C. We love staying at different hotels in different countries and had no issues with other hotels in Marrakech, however, our stay at Movenpick was very underwhelming and staff didn’t seem to care at all. This has been a very awful experience, and hope that the hotel management can make a much better experience and improvement for others.

Lovely would recommend. Cheap and cheerful. Don’t know why people are so negative about this place, I would stay here again. Clean, beds made everyday, clean towels, friendly staff. Located twenty minute walk from the square, and the souks. Off licence around the corner, which sells plenty of beer, wine and spirits. £11.00, for a bottle of wine and six beers. Highly recommended!!!

This is our 8th visit to Aqua Fun Club, as a family of 7; 2 adults & 5 Children. We have been many other resorts around the world in-between our annual visit here, this is our favourite! From arriving to leaving each time, we couldn't have asked for better. ❤️ spotless rooms ❤️ fresh bedding daily ❤️ amazing waiters, special thanks to Mr Samir and Younes, who year on year ensures the food, service and atmosphere are amazing ❤️ none stop activities from the entertainment team, especially Momo,Memo & Ayo who are amazing in keeping the kids and us adults entertained and keep the competitive streak going ❤️ An on site shop, ran by the most welcoming and friendly man, Adul Malik. ❤️ the waterslides are amazing ( with even more being built resdy for 2025 season, the kids pools with slides on the pirate ship and the princess castle are great too. We come around April/May when the weather is around 28-34°C, in 8 visits, we have never had a bad experience or a bad moment. The best youth hostel in Morocco, in the old wheat field, the car can not drive, 10 minutes walk from the Palace Square, very new, clean and beautiful, mattresses and quilts are very soft and comfortable, there are toilets in the 8-person room Bathroom, bar on the first floor and top floor, breakfast plus 40 dirhams, bread and egg ham, coffee machine, large basin of strawberries with yogurt, great value

The hotel is amazing the staff the food the services… everything is wonderful. Essadi hotel located in te city center where everything is closed: restaurants, drug stores, coffee shops and supermarkets. I recommend it strongly and hope you will enjoy it as we did 😌

Hotel room was extremely dirty, I have noticed load of female hair, on bed and pillows, the bathroom was with load of hair too. Housekeeping did not clean the room properly and professionally. Terrible experience and minus 5 rating the hygiene for the room. The night, I could not sleep at all till early morning because of noise from some cars racing next to hotel during whole the night, Im very disappointed and confused because hotel reception did not take action to report this matter to police but car racing was with very load noise and I still can not understand is it hotel and touristic area or F1 racing. I won't recommend this hotel at all due to several problems, might hotel looks great online but in reality is very very very bad. I will never ever come back to it

With the hindsight of some of the reviews i have read on this hotel, my conclusion after just staying here for a few days is they are absolutely not giving the hotel the justice it derserves. Yes the hotel is old, might be some tiles missing here and there' or some wall plug not sitting 100 % in the wall. But generally its not a problem that can't be solved if you ask the staff they are both friendly and helpfull. With a large family in marrakech and the experience of travelling here every other year for the last 30 years this is nothing out of the ordinary on hotels of marrakech unless you are staying at something absolutely high end hotel which will probably cost you small fortune Garden is magnificent with a spacious pool area, friendly and helpfull staff that solves any problems you might have, good food with fair prices. Rooms are spacious well ventilated (Ive read a lot of people complaining about the A/C, to that i can just say morocco is one of the warmest places on earth specially during the summer time and thats not anything even the best A/C can solve) The only negative thing is the area around the hotel once was a ”highend” district with lots of luxury hotels sadly the last couple of years the area has been in decay leaving it quite ”dead” which means you have to find a taxi to get to anywhere interesting which is not a big cost (20Dh-40dh), but can be tricky if you are travelling more then 3 persons due to lack of big taxis and the fact that small taxi´s only take 3 people. I stayed at Amour D'Auberge over the new year - I was looking for a hostel that was relatively quiet and laid back, in a good location. Hiba, Nadia, Faisal and Jamil run the hostel together and every interaction I had with each of them was very positive! They were super friendly and helpful. I shared an 8-bed female room and had no problems with it - the beds are comfortable and warm, and you get a key-locked cupboard to store your valuables. The hostel is in a fantastic central location, just five minutes walk to the big square! Even though the hostel itself was pretty quiet there is a jazz bar next door, which did mean that sometimes it was loud late at night - but I just used ear plugs and it didnt disturb me too much. Also, while I was staying they were having some building work done which was noisy during the day, however I was out and about most of the time so it didn't cause me any problems. Overall I would recommend Amour D'Auberge and would stay here again in future :-)
