Yukai Resort Dogo Saichoraku

The facilities were good and the staff were very friendly.

This hotel is very average, on a hill, not very convenient to go out at night. The food is very poor, the floor of the restaurant is sticky and dirty.

The hotel's service is good and the evening dinner is quite rich.

There were various bad reviews, and I didn't expect much, but as a result, it was a hotel that I was very satisfied with. However, I was surprised that there was a pillar of about 1m in the room and wondered why. As others have written, this hotel is not Dogo Onsen. However, there are many washing areas in the bathhouse, and the bathtub is large. There were 5 karaoke rooms, and when I went during the free time, all the rooms were occupied by young people and could not be used. Dinner has a wide variety of dishes, so you can choose the side dish that suits you. There was a young woman who seemed to be working part-time, but it was nice to see her working hard together with a bright smile when guiding customers and ordering alcohol. After all, the impression of the entire hotel may change depending on the attitude of the employees.

We went on a touring trip from Matsuyama to Cape Ashizuri to Shikoku Karst on three bikes. "Unfortunately, the forecast was for a low pressure system to pass on the first or second day." There is a parking lot next to the hotel, but I was able to park my motorcycle elsewhere. If you face the front and go into the back on the right hand side, the ceiling is a little low under the eaves of the building, but there is a space where about 7 to 8 motorcycles can be parked without getting wet in the rain. On this day (Thursday), 6 cars including us were parked. "It was helpful because the peak of the rain was from the night we stayed until the morning." We were guided by hotel staff and parked, but if not, I think it's best to check with the front desk where the bike is parked before parking. Yukai Resort Dogo Saichoraku is a hot spring hotel located in Dogo Himezuka, Matsuyama City, Ehime Prefecture. On April 15, 2022, I rode the Sea Paseo from Kure to Matsuyama Tourist Port. From there, I drove past Baishinji Temple, where I had walked before. There is a beach here, and it is a memorable place for generations as it was the filming location for the drama ``Tokyo Love Story.'' I passed in front of the inn where I was staying at that time. I came to the hot spring town of Dogo Onsen. The destination hotel is located in a remote location from the hot spring town. We arrived at Yukai Resort Dogo Saichoraku, where we would be staying for the day. The parking lot is located at the back of the building and is very spacious. The building looks quite old. Even though it's a Dogo Onsen hotel, the baths are filled with hot water from Nibukawa Onsen. The inside looks like this. First check in at the front desk. On this day, I was in room 414 on the 4th floor. On this day, the old lady was able to open the lock smoothly. It seems that Yukai Resort has Japanese-style rooms with futons already in place. 10 tatami mats, TV and cupboard. You can clearly see the apar**ent across the street from the window (bitter smile).A refrigerator and a safe. There is also a bathtub, although I probably won't use it because I go to the sink and the large bath. The toilet has a heated toilet seat. There is wifi, but the speed is not good. I immediately went to the public bath. Even though it's a Dogo Onsen hotel, the bath uses hot water from Nabukawa Onsen. However, Nabukawa Onsen is my favorite hot spring, and I like it so much that I keep coming back. However, the hot water here seemed less slippery. The grandmother took advantage of various discounts and was able to stay overnight for two people, including two meals, for about 9,000 yen. Most of the hotels at Yukai Resort didn't have wifi, but this one has it. By this time, it was already getting very heavy (sweat;) The dinner venue was the restaurant on the first floor. It was a buffet style seating experience. I feel like this. The next day, we had a breakfast buffet at the same restaurant. I tried it with soba as my main dish. My grandmother is like this. I stayed here for 3 nights from Tokyo. This was my first time using the Yukai Resort Group. I imagined it would be the same as the Itoen Hotel Group, but the food was different from the Itoen Hotel Group, and I was satisfied with the buffet. There were many dishes that felt homemade. One thing I would like to say is that it would be better if the large public bath was switched with the women's bath on a daily basis.

The view of Matsuyama city from the room was very beautiful. The staff were very friendly and I was very satisfied. My only complaint is that there could have been more plugs for the electrical outlets.

The building may be a little old, but it can be said that it has a taste. I personally don't mind because it's clean. I arrived late due to work, but I was very happy with the kindness of the front desk, who made me a buffet dinner like a lunch box. The open-air bath was large and very comfortable. I have stayed at other long-established inns, but I personally liked the baths here. The breakfast was delicious and I ate too much. Next time, I would like to live so that I can eat dinner properly.
