The cleanliness here is exceptional; someone comes to clean every day. Cooking is also very convenient, and even when I occasionally forgot to clean the kitchen utensils after cooking, they would come and clean everything thoroughly. The location is great for getting around, and it's easy to buy groceries nearby, especially at Victoria Market on weekends where you can get fruits and vegetables to cook your own meals.

The location is fantastic! You can walk to the University of Melbourne, the State Library, Queen Victoria Market, and all the main landmarks. Plus, the pickup point for day tours is just a few steps away. There are so many dining options nearby that even though there's a kitchen, we ended up eating out most of the time. Being in the Free Tram Zone was a huge bonus, making it easy to get to many popular shops and spots. The front desk staff, including an Indian/Pakistani guy and what seemed like an Arab lady, were both very friendly. The room was cleaned daily with fresh supplies. While the facilities aren't brand new, they are clean and practical. For a place to relax after a day of exploring, it offers great value for money.

Pretty good! It's very close to Queen Victoria Market, and super convenient to get around by tram. Even though the room is small, it's very practical and has a kitchen. You can also store your luggage at the front desk. It's not noisy and the price is right.

The hotel is very strategically located, it’s very close to Queen Victoria Market and the tram station is just a stone throw away. However the hotel looks a bit old but generally still clean. The room comes with a kitchenette so you can buy some stuff from the market and cook yourself a meal. Room service didn’t make my room up, just replaced my bath towels.

We stayed here for 8 nights, and unfortunately our experience was disappointing. The only real advantage of this property is its location, which is very convenient. However, the overall maintenance and guest service need significant improvement. One concern was the damaged door security latch inside the room. When we reported it to the front desk, we were told that the hotel had removed these latches since COVID. If that is the case, the damaged hardware should have been completely removed rather than left hanging in the room. It looks poorly maintained and raises concerns about guest safety. Another issue was that the room was advertised as having long-stay amenities, including a microwave and cooking equipment. Unfortunately, neither was functioning properly. We reported this to the front desk and were told that someone would come to inspect it, but no one ever did, and there was no follow-up throughout our 8-night stay. What disappointed us most was not the problems themselves, but the lack of action. The staff were willing to take complaints, but there seemed to be little interest in resolving them. Repeatedly acknowledging issues without providing solutions does not create a positive guest experience. Given the length of our stay, we expected a higher level of attention and service. While the location is excellent, the hotel's maintenance standards and response to guest concerns leave much room for improvement.

Stay is average. Location is the only positive.

Returned to the hotel at night only to find out my room door had been left open for the entire day by the cleaning staff. Did no one notice the entire day? Service staff at the counter didn’t even offer a change of room until I requested for it. Told me they’d check the CCTV footage and update me within an hour but that update never came and I had to ask again the next morning. Tried to brush it off with some cheap chocolate, wine and a generic apology card. Mind you anyone could have entered into my room and looked through my personal belongings, stolen items or even tampered with the room the entire day. I’ve travelled a lot and this has never happened. Bad customer service, poor attitude and careless staff

Very good hotel in terms of value for money, with unbeatable location and decent room amenities. Can improve in terms of keycard tech - had my keycards deactivated by electronic devices multiple times so always worrying about getting locked out of my room.

Overall a nice pleasant stay. Room can be cold but the warm air function of the aircon helps. Small kitchen helpful for making small meals. Can hear some foot stomping at night but not a major issue.
