Visited recently for the first time since the pub re-opened - fish & chips were to die for. Cider from the Newt in Somerset on tap, went down really well. The garden area was so nice on a sunny evening and the inside looked really modern and done up well. We will definitely be back!

We booked here on my brother's recommendation for Sunday lunch. We didn't realise until we arrived that 2 courses was a minimum so ended up paying £10 for a starter each that we didn't really want. Saying that, the starter of duck salad was delicious but very filling. We had roast beef and roast lamb which was very tasty. The extra £3 for cauliflower cheese was worth the money. Delicious gravy and Yorkshire puddings. Service was superb. A good venue for a special occasion but would like the option of one course.

Possibly the best fish and chips ever - with excellent peas and tartare sauce. Friendly efficient service in the lovely bar area - 3 wood burning stoves all burning. Good cider. Excellent experience will definitely be returning. Check opening hours.

The pub/ restaurant is fantastic. The building is lovely, the food was amazing, and the service also great. For the quality of the roast, which wasn’t just your average Sunday lunch (it was really great!), the prices are also very good. Overall fabulous - absolutely recommend!

Highly recommend the restaurant! Eaten here twice recently and Cann't fault it. The food is exceptional as is the attentive service and warm welcome by the staff. Both times a group of 8 of us went and all of us loved it (which is rare for us!). Bring an appetite though. We will be back for sure! All the stars!

Had our works Chris**as lunch here and it was delicious. The food was generously portioned and interestingly put together with a lovely combination of food. The pub was comfortable and the staff attentive and friendly.

What a fabulous lunch with friends just before Chris**as. Great menu choices, good size portions topped off with great service, what’s not to like. Two of the party had turkey with all the trimmings and the other two had *******. The venison was absolutely delicious as was the Chris**as pudding, which I had with a glass of dessert wine, yummy. I highly recommend The Lamb on the Strand.

Warm greeting as we entered the front door, which made such a nice start to our evening. Fires and candles lit providing a warm ambiance and a good variety of background music playing. Good selection of wines by the glass and ales and a small but perfectly formed menu. Hubby had the pork belly which he said was delicious and soon cleared his plate. I opted for the steak of the day which was a Ribeye and have to say was perfectly cooked, fab peppercorn sauce, chunky chips and a nice fresh salad. We are looking forward to returning to sample some more.
