The Nutmeg Inn

The Nutmeg Inn is a jewel in the Lakes Region. The accommodations are luxurious and comfortable. The history of this inn is impressive and there is so much history to explore in the comfortable rooms. Each bedroom is unique and inviting. I miss the luxurious beds and pillows already. Kevin and Karen are very welcoming hosts. It was wonderful to return to the inn after a busy day to a roaring fire and comfy chairs. The massive Scrabble board was put to good use. A Nutmeg Inn breakfast is a great way to start your day, especially Karen's homemade granola. We are already planning our mid-winter break next year at The Nutmeg Inn.

This is the eighth consecutive year that my fiancé and I have spent our (dating) anniversary at the Nutmeg Inn, and it will continue to be a tradition even long after we are married and have started our family. Everything about the Nutmeg Inn is welcoming and comfortable. From the extremely pleasant and kind Inn Keepers, Kevin and Karen, to the nostalgic feeling you get from the Inn's aesthetics and amenities, staying at the Nutmeg Inn truly feels like you have traveled back to a simpler and less chaotic time. We have had stays where we were the only guests for a particular evening, and we have had times where the inn was booked to capacity, but the one constant that has remained, is the level of relaxation and decompression my fiancé and I have been able to experience every time. It doesn't hurt that the provided breakfast and refreshments are always amazing, and I challenge anyone to not be a fan of Kevin and Karen's cooking! For those guests that still need some type of technology during their stay, the inn provides complimentary wi-fi and a variety of television channels and streaming services on the downstairs, living room television. For anyone staying during the summer months, the inn also provides a beautiful and clean swimming pool on site. Highest recommendation from us, and we're already looking forward to our next stay in February 2025! A+

Kevin and Karen are the most attentive hosts. We consider The Nutmeg our home away from home. The rooms are comfy, the breakfasts never disappoint. The fireplace in the Great Room is a perfect spot to enjoy a glass of wine or play a friendly game of scrabble. We are returning guests who highly recommend staying at The Nutmeg, you will not be disappointed. The surrounding area of Meredith has a lot to offer from awesome restaurants, shopping and a train ride around Weirs Beach..

Excellent and highly recommend! Everything about this place was splendid. Innkeepers, Karen & Kevin, are phenomenal. Not enough words to say how fabulous this place is. Fireplace, games, a giant scrabble board, a pool table, and more. Definitely will return and recommend!

Just came back from a three night stay at the Nutmeg Inn. We had a great stay. Karen and Kevin were there to meet us and show us around and explain the history of the Inn. Our Room was a nice size and very clean. The bed was very comfortable. The location was very good, easy to get into town or connecting roads to visit attraction's. Hosts very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again when in area !!

Lovely historic inn and owners clearly invested in making their guests happy. From the game room to the delicious breakfast- all was terrific. The rosemary room was spacious and clean. The bathroom was small, and we did miss having a tv- but made do with our novels and each other instead.

We were met by both Kevin and Karen, the proprietors, given a tour, brought to a comfortable room, and fed two wonderful breakfasts. A clean, historical property with unique rooms and comfortable beds with all amenities.... even a pool when it is warm. We loved it and will be back.

We stayed for two nights on our tour of New England and we’re so glad we booked the Nutmeg Inn. From the very warm welcome from Karen right through to leaving we felt at home. The house is fascinating. Our room was spacious, very comfortable and we had two fantastic nights sleep! The home cooked breakfasts were delicious. Thank you Karen and Kevin.

Thank you Kevin and Karen for another stellar experience at The Nutmeg Inn. This is our sixth trip to The Inn and we cannot tell you how comforting it is to walk through the door and feel like we were “home”. The occasion for our trip was to celebrate another trip around the Sun for this old gal. There is no place we would rather visit than The Nutmeg Inn. We stayed in our usual room The Rosemary Room which is so comfy and cozy. We were fortunate to have arrived ahead of this latest winter storm and stayed an extra night. We always left the breakfast table satisfied after eating Kevin’s home made sourdough bread, Karen’s home made granola. Breakfast this week consisted of favorites such as a Mexican Frittata, French Toast, creamy egg puffs and Belgian waffles. The Meredith/Laconia area has a lot to offer in the Winter months.. the possibilities are ENDLESS!! We cannot wait to plan our next trip!! Keep up the awesome personalized service!!
