Andaz Mexico City Condesa

Terrible Globalist recognition: no bottled water was provided until I asked. I was charged a tip for the Globalist breakfast. There was no suite upgrade during check-in, even though the suite was bookable on the app. The rooftop bar and pool were closed, but I only found out when I checked in, as that information was not provided in the app. The giant pink column took up too much space in the room. The breakfast was mediocre but charged at almost $40 USD (unless your room rate include it or you are a globalist). If travelers are sharing a room with friends, it will be awkward due to the open bathroom design. There is no place to put clothes unless you get out of the shower, and there's a huge gap in the toilet door that allows others to see inside.

Was told on arrival no pool stated as “we don’t have a pool,” despite heavy advertising of this amenity and no advanced warning. I later learned it was being renovated, but this should have been clear on Hyatt’s booking website. Repeated misstatements about time room would be ready. Fine room, nothing special. More water bottles would have been nice, limited Andaz food and drink options in minibar. Value better at other hotels nearby

The concierge really made our short stay exceptional. Highly recommend using their tips around the area.

Andaz CDMX is in a fabulous and convenient location in Condesa. Although I never took the public transit, my friend said the train station is only a few minutes walking distance. UBER is very convenient and I highly recommend it. There are a lot of restaurants and eateries nearby with all levels of budget. There is a convenient store right across the street in case you need to pick up water etc. The management really makes this hotel stand out from others I have stayed at before. After informing some issues regarding the room, the Hotel or Room Manager actually came to my room to discuss about them and made sure that everything else was fine. Needless to say, I was quite impressed and appreciated of their acknowledgement. So, here are a couple issues I had. One was the known sewage smell in the bathroom. I was lucky (or unlucky) assigned to a room with a foul smell. It became very noticeable on the third day. Their maintenance team came right away to fix it by pouring some liquid plumber down the drain. That did help a lot. Front desk was willing to change room for us but we tolerated it instead. It's just too much hassle. I appreciate how quickly they addressed the problem and made every effort to ensure our stay enjoyable. There is a Nespresso machine but we never got to use it. The electric plug doesn't fit into the socket. The room attendant tried to fix this by removing a table lamp to spare the outlet. Even then, it still doesn't fit perfectly. I was afraid of electric short circuit so decided not to use it. I am actually surprised of this problem. Do other guests not make coffee in the room? We had some drinks and food at La Terraza on the ground floor between Mondrian and Andaz. It's part of Mondrian Hotel. Breakfasts were also served at Portico Restaurant in Mondrian. Breakfast spread was decent and changed every couple days. Staff were attentive. Unfortunately, rooftop restaurant Cabuya and pool were closed for renovation. That would have been a nice place to hang out in the afternoon after sightseeing. The hotel is beautiful and well maintained. There are a lot staff and security around the hotel and we always felt safe and welcome. Everyone I encountered were friendly and professional. I really do hope that they can address the sewage smell issue. It is just not appropriate for a 5 star hotel. Aside from this, staff, service, location, room, common areas are all top notch. I would definitely return to this hotel if I ever visit Mexico City again, provided the sewage smell problem is resolved.

Just stayed tat the Andaz for a week. Everything was great, and the staff was very helpful. I was there for a work offsite, but there were plenty of leisure travelers as well. Rooms are on the smaller side, which I'm used to being from NYC.

positives, good location to transport, bars, restaurant in a nice neighborhood. hotel is clean. negatives, everything is small, rooms are small, rooftop and pool is very small, and view is okay. breakfast is very limited and overpriced. you cannot do an extension on room. you will be charged a new higher rate. hotel staff is okay. hotel claims it's a 5 star. it's more a 3 star. the best thing about this hotel is its location

A jem! The entire hotel was well thought out. But the staff were what made my teams experience enjoyable. The Andaz Team were extremly welcoming, helpful, accommodating, friendly. A++++

Property location is bit in the city area. Service, cleanliness, amenities, staff and all products are at best quality
