Econo Lodge Quakertown

We needed a place to stay overnight as we had a certification clinic we were attending at Nockamixon State Park the next morning. To find this hotel, I Googled hotels closest to Nockamixon State Park and an Econo Lodge came up that was beautiful with a swimming pool in the picture... just so you know it's nothing like the place in Quakertown. The building from the outside is very old with garbage in the parking lot.. it's a two-story rectangle building with parking lots on both sides with a first floor and second floor. The windows on the outside look like someone was prying at them and they're all bent crooked and rusty. When we walked inside the front desk was fine but as we turned to go to our room on the second floor we noticed the carpeted steps were very dirty grass covered all kinds of unidentified particles everywhere like they had not been swept in a week or month. That should have been the first clue what our room was going to be like. Our room was dirty the floor looking like it had not been cleaned from the previous guest and the spread on top of the bed was dirty with crusty blood spots and the blanket had some black streaks on it however the sheets appeared clean the bathroom had someone else's hair on the tub and on the floor. We used our choice hotel points toward this room and we're very disappointed. I regret not reading reviews because usually choice hotels are pretty nice but I have never stayed somewhere like this and will make sure I read all reviews next time. I wish I would have taken pictures!

Hampton Inn Quakertown

Its a Hampton Inn. It is what it is. Its not the place for you if you're looking for a 5 star Manhattan hotel. If you're in the area and need a good place to stay right off 476, then you're in luck. Great price and fast and courteous service. This would be my go to hotel in the summer if it were on Hamilton Blvd across the street from Dorney Park. Hotel in about a 20 minute drive from Dorney Park. It works for me when Dorney Park is closed.

We stayed here for a wedding, and it was a great hotel for gathering with friends and family and for getting ready for the big event. Dave was friendly and checked us in efficiently. Sharon was superb running the breakfast, which exceeded expectations. They had individual spinach quiche, hard boiled eggs, plenty of the usual fare such as cereal, waffles, muffins, bagels, toast, and oatmeal with loads of toppings, Activia yogurt, and milk options that included oat creamer. They even had gluten and dairy free muffins! I have never seen a hotel breakfast that provided options regardless of many dietary issues! And if that’s not enough, Dunkin is a quick walk across the parking lot. McDonalds is also walkable. The bathrooms in the rooms are split which helps with multiple people getting ready at once. I.e., one bathroom has a shower, sink and hairdryer; the other bathroom has the toilet and a second sink. Both have lit mirrors, plus there is a full length mirror in the room. If you’re in town for an event, I recommend Spring Hill Suites. Request the top floor, if you can, because the only minor complaint would be the “walking” noise from people in the room above us. Not enough to take away a star so - 5 stars!

More a motel style than a hotel. Kind of gave me the creeps. Got a little more comfortable after in the room for a bit, but will definitely not stay here again. To be fair sheets and towels seemed clean but didn't want to sit in chair or put suitcase on chair. Carpet meh. Coffee pot meh. Expensive for being a motel style setting.
