The Hare and Hounds, Levens

We have family in Levens and regularly visit but this was the first time we had stayed at the Hare and Hounds. Our room (Bennett) was lovely and the bed was extremely comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and the staff friendly and helpful. We didn’t have dinner on this occasion but have eaten here many times before and can highly recommend dining here.

As always the time spent at this property is amazing hence returning regularly. Becs and staff always friendly and helpful and the selection of beers available are great and food well cooked and presented by the amazing cheffing team. Great accommodation and location, thank you!

Stayed here 4 times this year. Our favourite place to stay in the Lake District for a long weekend. Food excellent and all the staff are friendly and welcoming.

Such a beautiful property, very secluded in a safe and private way. Restaurant attached had a great food selection. Would come again!!

Our room was the Barn annexe which was like a self contained suite. It was excellent Well worth the extra cost

Lovely 2 night stay, room really cosy and quiet. Breakfast was lovely with lots of choice. Nice walks nearby, local shop is great as well.

We stayed at the Hare and Hounds following a long motorcycle ride from Aviemore. We stayed in the Barn Annex, which was superb, with separate bathroom, lounge /kitchen, and bedroom. It was a perfect space to relax in after a long ride. We had a fantastic evening meal in the attached pub/ restaurant, and there was a good selection of dishes, wines and local beers to enjoy. There was a great atmosphere and the staff we very friendly. The restaurant was very popular and was fully booked, so I would recommend booking a table at the same time as booking the accommodation. Breakfast was also high quality, and set us up nicely for our return journey to the south of England. From a bikers perspective the carpark, which opposite the pub is gravel and on a slope, so not the easiest to navigate, but the staff allowed us to park on some hatch markings by the bin store, which was flat and made manoeuvring a lot easier. I would definitely stay here again, and look forward to the next opportunity to return

Lovely pub with very friendly helpful staff - nothing too much trouble. Food was great - well worth a visit / stay.

Excellent accommodation. Friendly staff. Great evening meal and breakfast. Room was clean and tidy. It was warm but a fan is provided. Highly recommended for anyone touring the Lakes.
