Camping Village Mare Pineta

As soon as I arrived at the structure they immediately welcomed me with great kindness and explained to me in all details how it works and they gave me a map of the campsite and the timetables of the train. clean and very well equipped ... the next day I went to the pool all well maintained and well cared for down to the smallest detail ... to get to the beach down I took the famous train otherwise you could easily walk along the path ... i hope to return again to this splendid locasion

It was not our initial choice, but I still want to look at this campsite neutrally. If you are used to a large, more luxurious campsite with all amenities and swimming paradises, then I recommend that you adjust your expectations. The campsite is quite small but has everything you need. The supermarket is not big but has everything you need. The pool is straight forward, big enough and has enough space around it to sit / lie down. The campground is clean and well maintained. The animation is sufficient. Don't be fooled by the beach, it is 500 meters away as the crow flies, but it is difficult to walk due to the difference in height. So take the train but pay attention to the departure times, these deviate at certain times and keep in mind to be at the stop on time because you could just wait an hour because of the crowds. The beach is small and has pebbles, so it is far from attractive. Go to Grado if you are looking for a nice spacious beach. The campsite has many regular visitors (Italians) and few Dutch people. The area has plenty to offer: Trieste, Udine, Grado (Slovenia and Croatia are close by) and visit the Caves.

Well equipped campsite. We only stopped for 2 days to make a stopover on our way back from Croatia. We found it comfortable, the staff polite and to reach the pebble beach we used the free shuttle which, however, had to make more trips than expected due to overcrowding. Finally, the bar restaurant which is located at the end of the campsite opposite the pool, although it was of good quality, we still found it very expensive.

Great place, nice staff, clean. We have been vacationing here as a family for years, the cottages are well equipped, large enough and partly pet-friendly, the surroundings are very interesting, good shopping opportunities, places to visit, etc.

We stayed one night with a minivan at the end of May: there were few people on the campsite, the swimming pool, really very large, was already open, the view of the coast is spectacular, the Rilke walk really passes next to the campsite and is very easy . Clean bathrooms, I haven't tried any other services; I saw that the restaurant-bar has a nice location on the coast. To reach the sea you have to take a walk, first downhill and then uphill, of about 10-15 minutes on foot. The beaches are small and narrow. I did not put 5 stars just because the prices seemed a bit high for the end of May (42 euros per night for 2 adults and a 10 year old girl in this period seems excessive to me). I recommend it as a starting point for visiting Trieste and its surroundings.
