Nice views- essentially al fresco dining. Risotto was really quite good. But the wine prices are just crazy expensive relative to other places we’ve been enjoying during our trip to CT. Food portions are modest while prices are high. Seafood was average in taste. Left feeling like I paid for the view and did not get value for the money. Go someplace else imo.

Though a visually stunning location, my family felt completely unwelcome and an inconvenience whilst staying at Agriturismo Buranco. We toured Italy for three weeks and this accommodation was the most expensive, the smallest in terms of square meter age, shabby and old; the small desk leg kept falling of and we’d have to catch the desk to stop it from falling; the toilet didn’t flush properly, the tea and coffee making facilities, was an old kettle plonked on top of a small fridge which was growing some kind of funghi, and there was no coffee! In Italy! We paid twice what we paid anywhere else ( even Rome) and though the accommodation was under par I could have overlooked this because of the beautiful location on a working vineyard with wonderful views, if the staff had made us feel welcome. They did not. We felt awful being there, a nuisance, everything was too hard and met with attitude or indifference. We did not ask for much, except our young daughter had anaphylaxis with certain food, so we checked a few times if the food contained nuts and it was met with impatience. We did not enjoy that experience, so much so that we forfeited our money and left two nights early. The staff could not have been nicer once we told them of our early departure?? Worried about a review perhaps. It is worth mentioning again that the grounds are stunning and the wine is very good too, but you could definitely just stay for lunch or wine tasting to experience the property that way. This is their core business, it feels like the accommodation is a side earner and that’s about it. I do not recommend staying here. Unwelcoming and grossly overpriced!

The property and setting is absolutely beautiful. I purchased two tickets directly for the "Wine Experience" for $50 each. The description says 4 glasses of our wine, accompanying you can enjoy bruschetta with anchovies, cherry tomatoes, and homemade pesto. The first person who served us was a young woman who poured maybe a tablespoon of olive oil on each of our plates and gave us a small basket of four small slices of bread. She then poured us our first two glasses of wine, showed us the bottles and simply said one was bubbly and one was sweet. She then moved to another table and spent the rest of time with them. When I inquired with another server about the bruschetta and other two tastings, we were brought a menu and offered the final two glasses of wine. Meanwhile I watched the table next to us receive multiple tastings at $5.00 a glass and they were able to select what wines to taste, unlike us. We never did receive the bruschetta. This experience was NOT worth $100! As I stated, it's a beautiful property and the wine is good. Don't blow the $50.00, go instead for the $5.00 tastings and sit and enjoy view.

So disappointing. The grounds are stunning and we had a glass of Lemonchello while waiting for the dinner staff to prepare. Most of the staff are young and it was very apparent they wanted to be elsewhere than at work. Our appetizer of grilled octopus came after an hour of waiting. There were about 8 pieces which where chewy and the sauce was bland. For $25 I would have expected a lot more. Wine options are red or white, both are made on site. I had the red and was underwhelmed. After another hour of waiting for our dinner, we left without having our dinner. One of the young staff checked us out. She knew we were very upset and never apologized. When I asked if her this was normal she said no but didn’t offer any further explanation. I cannot recommend this establishment; too many disappointments.

One of best meals on entire trip thru Italy, if you can't stay here at least come for dinner and wine flight overlooking vineyards, lemon and olive trees. Accommodations nice and literally 5 minute walk into old town Monterossa with waterfront restaurants, bars and harbor. Trail to Vernazza was beautiful, a little strenuous and perfect day hike.

The food & wine were perfect, the setting so special, walking the land unique, meeting the family incredible. Grazie mille! You’ve cultivated such a special place with all just perfetto! We are grateful for the time we spent and hope to return.

A beautiful place to stay. This is not a hotel, but an apartment at a working winery and restaurant. The owners are friendly and attentive. Quite frankly, one of the most beautiful views you will ever have - of the winery and lemon groves. The proximity to the town is excellent. The only negative, and only if you are not in shape, is that it is a steep walk straight up to the hotel (100 meters?).

Husband and wife hosts are very hospitable. Walk up from town is truly a challenge for those not in the best of health. Our cottage was nice but is not spotless or without needing some condition attention.
