The hotel is decent but a lot of sketchy people hanging out in front of the hotel and in the lobby. Doesn’t look very safe.

The location is perfect. The beds are comfortable. It is pretty convenient. Unfortunately there are some people staying/living there as the government rent rooms for them. That said, if you just need a place to sleep it is really good for the price.

The door slamming and screaming at 5:00AM Sunday was frightening I couldn’t go back to sleep. The commotion outside elevator involved a large group of people , police were called . I would not recommend this hotel to anyone! I want a refund please .

Checked in with 3 kids and were given a room across from the elevators so all the drunks coming back in the middle of the night kept waking the kids up. Restaurant and pool were both closed and only found out at check in. 2 queen beds with 3 pillows on each bed. Typically people sleep with 2 pillows each. There were 4 of us so 2 of us had 1 pillow. No hand towels, only bath towels and wash cloths that you could see through. Also only one elevator was working. Overall a very bizarre stay. Previous stays were much better.

No restaurant and shower wasn't working, but as soon as we called they sent someone, not much wrong but the knob was so hard to turn and that is why I thought it wasn't working. The tv isn't user friendly, remote very hard to manoeuver :(

Our stay at Hotel Espresso was average, we appreciated the location as it was close to the Bell Center, shopping, and other activities, we also liked the parking garage option because we felt our vehicle was safe there. However, a few things made our stay not a 5 star one, one of the elevators was down, stair entrances were not marked clearly, we had to have maintenance come to fix our TV and our bed comforter was ripped. Staff were friendly enough but not above and beyond and they are also experiencing short staffing issues. If you won’t be in the hotel much and are planning to spend most of your stay out in the city this is a great location, but if you are planning to stay mostly in the hotel during your stay they don’t have much to offer.

Bed wasn't comfy, room smelled like an old church.... bathroom looks really old, very long to have hot water, plus the drain was almost clogged so the water of the shower stayed in the bath... overall disappointing, but the staff was great.

We booked an executive suite for a night out with the family to catch a habs game. The suite was dark and outdated but had everything we needed, was clean and staff was friendly. Restaurant was closed for some reason also but there's lots of good food around and it's less than a 10min walk to the Bell Centre.

My intention isn't to "bash" this hotel but here are a few of the notes from the weekend - hair all over beds upon arrival - hotel interior did not resemble photos online (incl the room we stayed in) - tub had dirt inside upon arrival - Disclaimer - Parking is $30 per night w hotel - lobby is packed w people 24/7 who clearly aren't staying at the hotel (made clear by the fact they're sleeping in the lobby) - Upon arrival was advised every amenity was closed (pool, spa, etc) Overall this hotel is passable as a one night stop location; I don't recommend as a getaway or multiple night stop. Not for couples or big families

I’ve stayed here a few times. Definitely an average hotel, but has fair prices and a parking garage. Good walking distance to bars and restaurants. The rooms are clean. Property itself is definitely dated and could use a re fresh, but wouldn’t say is necessarily dirty. Fine for one night but probably wouldn’t stay there for more than that and or if I planned on spending much time at the hotel!

Probably the firmest hotel bed I've ever slept on, which I appreciated. Not the cleanest location, but it was certainly convenient to St. Catherine Street and the Bell Centre.

I stayed with my teenage daughter and her friend. We requested a room with two queen beds. The room had a door which connected us to the neighbouring room. At midnight the loud and drunken neighbours tried to open our door and were very disruptive until 2 am.

I recently had a wonderful stay at Espresso Hotel and was thoroughly impressed by the fantastic balance of quality and affordability. Prime Location: One of the standout features its strategic location, just a block away from one of Montreal's major avenues. This proximity made exploring the city incredibly convenient, and it added a layer of accessibility that greatly enhanced our overall experience. Friendly Service: Our interaction with Rayan, the receptionist, was a highlight of our stay. His friendly demeanor and willingness to assist us at every turn made us feel genuinely welcomed. It's always refreshing to encounter such warm and helpful staff members.
