Captain's Inn at Moss Landing

This place was absolutely amazing! Very clean with unbelievable views! Can't wait to go back ❤️

The tubs are amazing and so is the quiet vibe! Sunsets absolutely unreal amazing. My only worry was the platform beds are SO TALL off the ground the little side step stool is fine but the whole thing held up by just a few 2x4s felt really scary some nights for two adults.

This hotel was a nice Get away trip with a nice harbor and a beautiful beach views within walking distance

Never saw such a thoughtfully, tastefully furnished hotel! Absolutely lived it!! Amenities are all there, and then some. No, no pool, but you’re next to water anyway. If you go there a whale-watching trip, you’re missing out if you don’t stay there. Good prices, worth every penny

We stayed here during our honeymoon and the views were just like the pictures. Checkin was awful though (as mentioned by others in their review). Having a person on site would make the world of difference. There weren’t enough parking spaces for all the rooms at the back (4 spaces and 6 rooms). There was poor attention to detail with several things in the room too. All the battery powered things (fan, candle, mirror etc.) had run out of battery. The house keeping staff didn’t refill the water or replace dirty cups/glasses. The big bath was lovely but the walls were very thin. We could hear people in neighbouring rooms talking, watching tv and even snoring through the night. No one was particularly loud so it must be a fault with the building rather than the guests. Could be so perfect but so many things let it down. I’d really expect more for the price.

This inn is super cute. My husband and I enjoyed the atmosphere very much. The decor and the outside gardens are perfect for the setting. It was super relaxing to sit on the deck and look over the Salinas River. So peaceful and beautiful. We stayed in the Admiral's Wife room, and it was gorgeous! Beautiful antique furniture with a fireplace and a clawfoot tub! Took a wonderful bath in that tub. I wish there was bubble bath available, but the body wash did the trick quite nicely. I didn't realize until after that there was a whole glass jar of bath salts by the sink. Think it should have been labeled or placed with the other bath/shower items. My biggest complaint, and the reason I took away a star, is the bed was awful! The most uncomfortable bed that my husband and I have ever slept in. I use the word "slept" loosely because we didn't get much sleep at all. Luckily, we only booked one night because we wouldn't have been able to stay another night in that bed. If the mattress was replaced with something better, this would be a 5-star Inn. All-In-All definitely enjoyed our stay here. If they upgrade their mattresses, we will definitely book here again in the future! Thank you Captain's Inn!!

Check-in was a chaos, (had no phone connection,european provider) red phone on front door not working access code to common space not correct. Lucky that a staff person was on the property

The property is in a nice location. I would recommend to stay here.
