Best Hotels in Mount Pocono

We had the best time! We honestly did not want to leave. When I was booking the room, I decided to call to get a better understanding on things. I talked to a Vanessa. She took such good care of me! When we got there our CXO Jess was the best! She made our stay great! Honestly, I can't say enough great things! I decorated our room in sunflowers and leaves like our wedding. So please enjoy our pictures! We look forward to returning!!

I stayed at the Comfort Inn in Mt. Pocono in April, 2023 for three (3) nights. I was there on business. Our family stays almost exclusively in the Choice Hotels brand for both personal and business trips and have seen many highs and lows with the brand throughout our travels. The Comfort Inn in Mt. Pocono is a comfortable, clean property. My room was a king suite and appeared to “formerly” be a hot tub suite, however, there is a sign in the room which indicated that the hot tub is no longer functional (which was fine with me because I did not book a hot tub suite anyways). The room was average, but clean. All lights worked, the refrigerator, microwave, and television all worked without issue. The internet connected with no issues, and I used it extensively to complete a few business-related tasks. In the bathroom, the toilet was fine but the shower needed some routine maintenance. The shower head desperately needs replaced; however hot water was not an issue. The “transition” flooring piece between the bathroom flooring and the main room carpet was missing and therefore, there were a few visible caulking “blobs” visible where the “transition” piece should be installed. I utilized the exercise room which was fine. The equipment is basic but is in working condition. The exercise room had a television. I did not use the pool, but it did appear a bit cloudy and the hot tub, as others have mentioned, is not functional. The breakfast was fantastic and the breakfast seating area was very nice, clean, and updated. Breakfast included an assortment of hot and cold foods. All the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The business center did not have a functioning printer, but they did offer the document I needed printed to be emailed to them and they could print it for me. I am sure they do not get many requests for use of their business center, but it was nice they could accommodate me. I would stay here again. It’s not a Hilton… doesn’t claim to be, but for the area and the price, you can have a nice, relaxing stay in a clean room with a good breakfast. Yes, there are updates that can (and should) be done to the rooms. As others have noted, one of the stairwells does smell of smoke but the other stairwell at the other end of the hotel is fine. The smoke in the one stairwell is due to employees smoking outside and propping the door open. I imagine by the smell, this happens routinely. I would recommend this hotel as a place to stay when you are in the Mt. Pocono area. Again, understand what you are getting (and not getting) and do not have unreasonable or unrealistic expectations for the property. They certainly can (and should) keep updating and improving the guest experience. However, I enjoyed my stay, slept well, had a great breakfast each day, enjoyed the exercise room, and the friendly staff made the stay enjoyable. For the area, the price was fair. The room was great. Had a nice view of the lake. The only complaint with the room was no mini fridge, but we were prepared for that with a small cooler. The ****** was very smokey even the non-smoking section. It would be better if they followed PA guidelines and had no smoking. There were no valets to handle luggage when we checked in which was a problem. We are elderly and hubby uses a walker and cannot handle luggage as he once did. Fortunately a young couple was checking in as well and helped me with the luggage. Restaurants were great but a bit pricey.

Stayed at this Hampton for a wedding in the area, and we ran into many issues that make the property very hard to recommend, but let's cover the positives first. The hotel itself is in pretty good shape, with decently-sized rooms and fresh decor. No surprises here - in a sense, if you've seen one Hampton, you've seen them all, though that's not necessarily a bad thing. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful, despite the hotel being fully booked and very busy all weekend long. Onto the negatives. Our room was very dirty on arrival, with hair left on the carpets and some troubling brown streaks in the bathroom. For whatever reason, the air conditioning blew incredibly moist and wet air into the room, and even after turning the unit off, my girlfriend was left with hives and skin irritation for days afterward. A few staffers got into an expletive-filled screaming match as breakfast was closing down one day, which isn't a good look for a property that targets families. I brought all of this to management's attention as we left, and I sincerely hope everything was addressed. If this hotel wasn't part of the pre-booked wedding block, we'd have checked out early and stayed somewhere else. This was a pretty unpleasant experience for everyone in our room, but reviews for this property seem positive overall, so your mileage may vary; if you stay here, maybe think twice before running the air conditioning.

When my Family travel to the Poconos we always stay at this Fairfield Inn & Suites location. Our last stay, two weekends ago, was my Birthday and part of the celebration included cards and a present for me. When we arrived home, I realized that I left my cards and present. I immediately contacted the hotel and was informed that the staff had retrieved my cards and gift and brought them to the Front Desk. I requested to have them mailed to me. Ms. Kendy Castillo, the General Manager, called me to confirm the mailing information. To my surprise, I received my cards and gift within five (5) days. I would like to commend Ms. Castillo and staff for their continued exemplary service!

This was our first trip- overall we had a lot of fun! Our 6 and 2.5 year old loved the water rides and the waterpark in general. We spent the majority of our time there. We had a Kid Cabin suite which we all liked a lot. There was plenty of space to relax after a day at the waterpark. We didn't do many meals there, which I think was a positive! We ordered breakfast and it was expensive but the kids liked it. There were some cons- the room above us was LOUD, so much so it was hard to sleep and I wanted to go home a day early. There were a LOT of cigarette butts on the ground outside the balconies. A LOT. Sadly that has more to do with rude people than the resort. Staff were all really nice and I was relieved that all the guests were wearing masks in general areas. There was plenty of space at the park (we went Mon-Thurs) so we never felt uncomfortable. Overall, it was a fun winter break that we all needed!
