Small clean room. However do take note that Chinese National ID is required to unlock the door to your assigned room. During my stay as a foreign traveller, I have to request the receptionist to open the door to my room whenever I return for the day, or after toilet usage etc. Some of the common washrooms flood after showering.

The location is excellent, right at the metro intersection with numerous exits to shopping malls. There are variable food choices from local eateries at the opposite road to the food court at B level of shopping malls and fine dining at upper floors. The room is just enough, not very spacious but the host can compensate all. She is so nice, allowed us to use her phone for Taobao and ******* order, very convenient. Even helped us to pick up delivery at most of the times, given we ordered a lot. Recommended for friend of 2 or couple.

Traveling from Hangzhou to Nanjing, I've often stayed at Zhisheng hotels with friends or family when they visit Hangzhou. Their room types are always great, and the hygiene is consistently good, all at a very reasonable price. The front desk lady was incredibly nice and even enthusiastically recommended popular local attractions. The only downside is probably the lack of an elevator, so you have to climb stairs. 😂
But everything else was spot on! Food deliveries can be brought right to your room door! The facilities are also quite comprehensive!
As a couple traveling, booking an expensive hotel can be a bit of a financial strain, but staying in a super cheap one means we're exhausted from sightseeing and can't get proper rest, which is a nightmare! However, whenever we stay at Zhisheng, it's always comfortable. The room types and cleanliness are excellent, and the mattress is so soft and comfortable to sleep on! Plus, the price isn't expensive, making it pretty much my go-to choice every time I travel.

LlwkengWe booked the family room with 2 king bed room for our whole trip in Nanjing and the hotel truly is not disappointing.
The hotel is very clean and close to the Laomendong attractions. All are within walking distance. Nearby attractions are also a lot and easily reachable in short distant. Food and restaurant is not a problem.
The room has all the amenities and most importantly free laundry service is available which is important for my family travel for longer days as we do not need to bring a lot of clothes.
The owner is friendly and provided suggestions to our places to visit as well. Breakfast is inclusive. Even though simple, good enough to start for the day without needing to look for food before going out.
Overall a good and pleasant experience with our stay.

The room, though small, was exquisitely laid out, and the warm-toned lighting and decor instantly made me feel relaxed. The air conditioning kept the room toasty, and a hot shower was incredibly therapeutic, with great water pressure from the rainfall showerhead, which was very stress-relieving. Details like the wet/dry separation in the bathroom and the Dyson hairdryer showed how much thought the owner put into everything. The location is also good, quiet but not remote. The service was friendly and polite, making it feel just like home. It was a very pleasant stay. The ladies at the front desk were all super nice! 👍

The breakfast spread was extensive, and the shredded radish pancake was absolutely delicious! The lounge on the first floor was also very convenient for business meetings. My foreign colleague traveling with me also spoke highly of it. If I return to Nanjing, I would certainly choose to stay here again.

Stayed for two nights in Nanjing with my elderly mother for a weekend getaway. The location is very convenient. It's just a short walk to Fuzimiao (Confucius Temple) and also very close to the West Gate entrance of the Egret Island Park Lantern Festival.
Before our arrival, they called to inquire about our estimated check-in time and informed us about the limited parking availability.
Breakfast had everything one could ask for. My personal favorites, freshly made noodles and coffee, were available, and there were several kinds of fruit. The freshly prepared duck blood vermicelli soup was quite tasty.
We received a complimentary upgrade to a family room, and it was lovely to have the morning sun shining in. The room was cleaned promptly, and they refilled our bottled water several times. Thumbs up! 👍

XXiaoyouchengThe bed was massive, felt like 2.4 meters! The hotel environment is super nice, very clean, and luxurious. There were also many international guests. There's an outlet mall nearby, within walking distance, but I didn't go. The styles and brands weren't that impressive. I chose this hotel because I was here for Brother Sheng's concert, and it was close by. It was really good!

The hotel is near Dongliu Station, but you need to walk about 3 blocks (15 minutes). The walk is flat, but in July and August it can get very hot, so bring an umbrella. The area is quiet and feels isolated. Although the hotel is not far from Nanjing University Xianlin Campus, there is no direct train, you need to change lines and make an awkward turn. Shared bikes (Hello blue bikes) are convenient in Xianlin, but not around this hotel. A good option is to take the B3 shuttle bus from Sanyang Road, which goes to Nanjing University train station (walking distance to NJU). Around the hotel, you will find small eateries (like chicken and duck rice shops) and a few convenience stores, but no malls.
Cleanliness
The rooms are clean, but there is a smoke smell that stays for about a day. The staff suggested opening the window and using the aircon, but I also bought a reed diffuser from Miniso to make it smell fresher. Bedsheets were changed regularly (every 5 days). The toilet slippers looked dirty, so I did not use them. Also, the hotel does not provide floor towels.
Staff & Service
The staff were very kind and helpful. They upgraded me to a bigger double room with a sofa and work area, and also gave me a cheaper rate since I stayed for 40 nights. Cleaning staff came daily, bringing bottled water and keeping the toilet clean. The night-shift counter staff were also helpful.
Facilities
There is a washing machine that can wash and dry in one cycle. Do not overload it, or clothes won’t dry properly. Since the hotel is not very busy, I could use the machine anytime without queuing. Rooms have a hair dryer and a lighted mirror. The aircon makes a small dripping sound, but it is not a real problem.
Noise
The soundproofing is generally okay, but occasionally you can hear people talking loudly if there are guests next door. It’s not the hotel’s fault—just that people in China often speak very loudly, even inside their rooms or in the corridor. Nothing much you can do about it.
Surroundings & Safety
The area is safe, with big roads and many residential apartments. In the evenings, families with kids and dogs walk around, and I also jogged nearby. Food delivery is easy drivers can bring food to your room or the counter.
Overall
It is a quiet and safe place to stay, with helpful staff and decent facilities. The location is not very convenient for NJU Xianlin Campus, but manageable if you use the shuttle bus.

The hotel's location is superb, just a few minutes' walk to the subway station, and surrounded by shopping malls and unique restaurants, making it super convenient for getting around and finding food. The room was impeccably clean, the bedding was soft and comfortable against the skin, and with the excellent blackout curtains, I slept soundly all night long. The soundproofing was also great; I couldn't hear any outside noise at all. The biggest surprise was the service; the front desk lady was quick and enthusiastic during check-in, and even proactively shared some local, lesser-known travel tips.
