Southern Belle Inn

We were visiting the area (Crater of Diamonds State Park) and booked this hotel because of good reviews. It's in a fairly quiet location only 15 minutes from the state park. Plenty of parking in front of the units and felt safe. Lobby attendant was super kind and helpful. Lobby was very clean, pleasant smelling, decorated nicely. Check in/out was quick and easy. King size room was spacious with couch, king bed, dresser, desk area, large TV and the biggest mini fridge I've seen in a hotel. Lamps were updated to have USB ports which is a huge bonus in my opinion. Bathroom was clean with large vanity outside of the bathtub/shower/ toilet area. Bath towels were soft. Plenty of TP, bar soap, and disposable cups. The bed was very comfortable and I slept well. Breakfast is a continental breakfast as stated on website - cold cereal, oatmeal packets, 3 kinds of Pop Tarts, bagels and bread for toasting, yogurt, coffee, milk, and juice. Breakfast area had plenty of seating, nice decor, local newspaper to read, and very well maintained. To sum it up, this family owned hotel strives hard to provide great service at very reasonable rates. I would not hesitate staying here again. Well done Southern Belle!

Here for the eclipse, along with most other guests. I had booked for many months in advance, and a second family came with us to the eclipse. We were going to double up in one room but a cloudy forecast yielded some last minute cancellations and I was able to get a second room for our gang. Neat rooms with clean, solid dark bedspreads, modern bathrooms with tile floors, fridge, microwave, good wifi. Not on the way to anywhere I'd normally be going, but for those passing through this area, recommended.
