I am generally not a Bed and Breakfast kind of person, however, the experience at South Court Inn changed my perspective. My wife and I had such a good time thanks to our special hosts Shannon and Joe. We felt spoiled by the exceptional three course breakfasts prepared by Shannon, who is an amazing cook and baker. This veteran couple shared their knowledge of the area, The Shenandoah National Park, Luray Caverns, restaurants and activities. When we returned from our day out there was the delicious afternoon treat waiting for us. The bed was comfortable and the Victorian style home was impeccably decorated and furnished. It was a wonderful 5 nights-did I mention the breakfasts. Such a relaxing time. We will return at some point, maybe to see the Fall Colors.

I just spent a lovely couple of days at the South Court Inn B&B. The accommodations are top notch and the afternoon snacks and morning breakfasts are wonderful. If you want to feel incredibly pampered, this is the place. Innkeepers Shannon and Joe are delightful and go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. The breakfastThey have so much information to share about the local attractions. The Inn is located in a quiet neighborhood but within easy walking distance to shops and restaurants in town. The Luray Caverns are quite close by and the entrance to the Shenandoah National Park is an easy drive. I would definitely stay there again if I ever return to the area.

Shannon and Joe Colleen and I would like to say what an excellent experience we had at South Court Inn in late November 2023. Their hospitality was beyond belief, truly amazing. From the impeccable Christmas decorations and their attention to detail throughout the INN to the Awesome 3 course breakfast Shannon serves to all her guests. Not to mention our room was top notch, with a heated bathroom floor. WOW!! Their home was very warm and welcoming. We found Shannon and Joe's friendly ways to be one of their many assets in operating a Bed & Breakfast. To our amazement we found out that Shannon and Joe just finished their First year in business and with what Colleen and I experienced those couple of days they will have a very long and successful run as the owners of South Court Inn. For our next visit to Luray, Virginia we will definitely be returning to South Court Inn. Furthermore, Colleen wishes she could take Shannon home as her personal chef and party planner. Thank you, Shannon and Joe. We appreciate your hospitality, and we will be back. Colleen and I would like Thank both for your service as US ARMY Veterans. ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ P.S. Thank you ever so much for our new Christmas Ornament

We chose the South Court Inn Bed and Breakfast as the place to celebrate our 44th wedding anniversary. We arrived on a Friday and were greeted first by Babs, the neighbor's cat, then met by Joe and Shannon, the Innkeepers. They were such a friendly and welcoming couple who made our visit very special. Their story of meeting, marrying, and purchasing the Inn was so interesting and its obvious when speaking with them, that they love what they do. This 1875 Inn was really beautiful inside and out, clean, and welcoming. Modern updates have been added, blending the old with the new. It is located on acreage and gardens tended by Joe, including outdoor entertaining spaces and beautiful outbuildings including a massive old barn. Joe and Shannon have thought of everything that could make your stay perfect and comfortable. Shannon was an awesome cook. Saturday breakfast was grilled grapefruit, creme brulee french toast, and sausage. Plenty of hot coffee, juices, and teas. Joe assisted on Sunday by smoking the pork for the hash served with baked apples. Delicious and filling!! The fridge was always stocked with water and treats like chocolate covered strawberries and tiramisu made by Shannon. The Inn is located within walking distance of downtown Luray, where you will find shops and restaurants to explore. Vineyards were within driving distance as well as hiking trails and the National Park. Plenty to do here! We are so glad we chose this B&B for our anniversary trip. Our hosts were wonderful. Our stay was perfect. We definitely plan to visit again. Two thumbs up!

Loved our time there. Joe and Shannon are the perfect blend of warmth and professionalism. Shannon has a unique way of making everyone feel special. House and rooms were impeccably neat, clean, and nicely furnished. Rooms retain their original 1800's look and vibe, while the bathrooms are completely modern - a perfect blend. Even the bath towels were luxurious, as Shannon has an amazing eye for every detail. Best B&B I've ever stayed in.

Shannon and Joe are the greatest B&B hosts ever! My husband and I spent three nights in their beautiful B&B and from start to finish, they were so helpful and generous of their time, their resources and their comfort hospitality. Breakfasts were three course meals that sustained us until dinnertime, even when we were hiking, and they always had some kind of delicious mid afternoon snack available in the lovely living room areas, including baked goods or charcuterie. The first day glass of wine was wonderful and we paid a visit to the Rappahonock Winery because of this. (Definitely worth a visit.) The bed and pillows were great and there were bottles of water and a basket of snacks in the room which came in very handy when we went out for the day. They also keep a refrigerator full of water and other drinks for guests in the sun room. Shannon and Joe know the area well and were able to make great suggestions for hiking, sight seeing and dinner recommendations. The Luray Caverns were beautiful as was our hike to Mary's Rock. We would return in a heartbeat!

Could not ask for more. Welcomed by the hosts, Shannon & Joe, with a complimentary glass of wine, homemade dessert waiting for you after dinner, coffee outside your bedroom door at 7:30 am, gourmet breakfasts, comfortable bed and linens. Shannon remembered that my wife did not like hard boiled eggs, so she prepared a special breakfast appetizer just for her. They check all the boxes to deliver the best BNB experience. We were here in the Spring and came back to see the fall foliage with another couple in large part to share this wonderful BNB with them. Now we need a new excuse to come back again.

Our stay at the South Court Inn was an absolute treat! The Inn is cozy and well appointed. My husband and I loved cuddling up next to the fire to read some of the books available in their guest library. The couple who owns South Court are lovely and have put a ton of work into exploring the area so they can offer the best recommendations to guests. In the morning you are served a three course breakfast that is truly gourmet. What put this Inn over the top for us was all the extras they offered - fresh baked goods every afternoon, free beverages to take with you on excursions, a specially chosen bottle of Port for guests to sip from, room snacks, and lots of great hiking guides! Not only is the service great, but it is also the perfect location for those looking to explore the national park. The Thornton Gap entrance is only 10-15 mins away. And if you are a shopper, the downtown is less than 2 mins away. We will definitely be staying here again!
