Travelers New Orleans

We were in town for our niece's wedding at the Hotel St. Vincent across the street & this was the PERFECT place to house our adult kids. It's run very well. Clean. Comfortable. While rates at the St. Vincent were in the $600 range, Travelers clocked in at about $165!! All private baths. No traditional lobby, front desk or concierge per se but it didn't matter. The people in charge (artists who evidently live on the top floor - by the way a great business model!) made sure to get us all the info we needed to let ourselves in & were available by phone if need be. Go next door to Mojo's for incredible coffee/pastries & stroll down Magazine Street to go to any number of great restaurants & bars. I fancy boutique hotels because I am all in for the personal and curated touch in life. For me, a hotel should offer more than a clean place with a good bed. I need something more. An experience. Some silver lining. This hotel is founded and managed by creatives where aesthetics and ambience are at center. Beauty in the small things. Enjoying making coffee in the morning in the communal kitchen, savored in hand made ceramic cups. Reading the paper, while relaxing on the sofa in the communal living room. Greet a fellow hotel guest and exchange tips on what to see and do in NOLA. I will definitely be back!

I am truly grateful to NOLA Travelers for their efforts in supporting artists and for the wonderful stay I had there this June! I loved the room (especially the bed with so many pillows!) and the neighborhood, which boasts a fantastic bar, coffee shop, bakery, shopping street, and wellness center all within a five-minute walk. The Travelers Lounge is a great space to escape the summer heat, have a coffee, read, hold a work meeting, or casually chat with the architects from the adjacent studio who designed the space, the artists-in-residence living on the top floor, or other guests. Both the lounge and the halls serve as curated exhibition spaces, showcasing contemporary Southern art that is truly inspiring to be around! This hotel was amazing! As a solo traveler and artist, I felt super safe and right at home. Great experience overall and the management was super friendly and welcoming. My bed was one of the most comfortable I've ever slept in and I loved the minimalist / Scandinavian-esque decorating style. Great location in the lower garden district with so many cute shops and great food nearby! Loved their coffee machine and free breakfast items in the fridge! Can't recommend this place enough.
