Great accommodation, fantastic hosts and staff, we were made to feel very welcome from the moment we landed. We had access to bikes, paddleboards and kayaks which is great. Highly recommend a bike ride around the Island its a great way to see Rarotonga. The location is perfect next to a very safe lagoon, the Night Food Markets are next door which opens four nights a week (fabulous variety of local cuisine), museum and reatuarants close by, a great coffee shop across the road. Plus the Sailing Club is just a short walk along the beach. And if you need the bus to get around the island its just outside the front.

Great place to stay, views are fanastic. Acess to the lagoon was only metres from hour villas. I stayed in Villa 5 and was perfect. Staff are atentive, friendly and great knowlegde of area. The use of the water equipment was great and avaible when we needed it. The roaming dogs were never a problem, they are friendly and cared for, thanks Sparrow Dog [one eye]for visiting us. We will defintly return to Beachcomber and are planning our next trip. Thanks to Shelly, Simon and your team for a fantastic stay.

A very relaxing holiday in one of the beachfront units. Quiet, very easy access to the beach with kayaks, paddle boards and snorkelling equipment readily available. If not into the water sports bikes also available all at no cost. Breakfast delivered every day was adequate, the fresh fruit at the front desk daily was an added bonus. Free washing machine as well as the laundry powder was great. The Beachcomber is right next to the Muri night market and there’s a large number of restaurants within easy walking distance. A car is not really required as the bus stops outside the front. Friendly staff, lovely maintained grounds. Will visit again.

Our family of 6 stayed here in one Seaview unit and the garden family unit. The location is perfect, steps to the beach from the Seaview unit. We loved the kayaks and paddle boards and were out on and in the water every day. There were plenty of turtles to swim with, though not many fish. The only disappointment was the pool being under repair, but I imagine it’s back in action by now. Breakfast was perfectly adequate and a welcome addition. Both units were very clean, and the staff were great. We especially liked the daily interaction with guests by Simon the manager. Would stay again

Muri Beachcomber was a great place to stay. The location was amazing, the units were comfortable and well equipped. The use of kayaks, paddleboards, snorkelling gear and bikes was a great inclusion. Staff were great and the guest lounge is so handy.

Great location, great service. My wife and I stayed for about a week and couldn’t be happier with Muri Beachcomber. Each unit has a little kitchen which allowed us to store food and drinks and not have to eat out every meal. Plus there’s a little market 50 meters away where we bought what we needed. Between the resort and that little store in the Muri Night Market- it’s open Sun-Thursday and has 20-30 food booths that have everything from seafood to vegetarian meals. And if you want higher end dining, you are a short walk from the two most highly reviewed places.

We loved our stay at Muri Beachcomber! The villa was very clean, comfortable for just the two of us, and beautifully decorated. We could look out our door and see this awesome lagoon that was perfect for enjoying all kinds of water sports or just to take a swim. The villa has air conditioning located in the bedroom and we used it only at night. During the day, we opened all the window vents and just let the island breezes flow through. The Night Market is right next door, so you can literally walk next door to get your dinner three or four nights during the week. We rented a car to get around, but you would not have to do that. There is bus service all around the island, or you could also rent a scooter. If you are considering coming to Rarotonga, don't miss this place!

What a beautiful spot. Room was serviced daily & fresh towels provided. Snorkel masks, flippers & reef shoes available to use for free from front reception. Little turtles at the front of the units everyday which was so lovely. Roosters are a slight inconvenience and start about 2am but we managed to ignore them most nights. Few ants in the unit, but managed to keep them at bay by removing fresh flowers from the unit and keep everything in the fridge. The ground staff are lovely, always cleaning up or gardening. It's a nice spot & you feel very safe. Laundry services available & easy to access. Would recommend getting a scooter as not alot of parking available for a car. Overall we loved staying here.

Very pleasant location in what appears to be a tropical paradise. The apartment itself was to a good standard with adequate space and facilities. But, the appt was also right on the beach… this brought an unexpected noise nuisance… the nearby encircling reef brought a constant roar of noise much like a passing train, that never ended… on top of which was the constant swoosh of waves up the beach… We arrived at 10pm, and tried to get settled in , thinking the noise might be soothing and aid sleeping… but that was not to be the case, it was just intrusive… and then from approx midnight onwards, roosters started cock-a-doodling, and this went on ALL night… No sleep… exhausted… We had come here for peace and quiet and a relaxing stay… In the morning we rose to explore a little and found the chickens were free roaming all over the place… We booked the next flight home… but would have to endure one more night…

We returned to Muri Beachcomber with friends and had a fantastic time. It's got everything you need to have a thoroughly relaxing time. Night markets right next door so dinner is sorted 4 nights/week. The bus stop right out the front, great coffee across the road, little store for all your needs just a stroll and then there is the beachfront lagoon location. We will be back !!

We stayed at Muri for week one of our three week stay in the Cooks - it really didn't disappoint. As others have said, the bungalows do look a little tired (but a lot of Raro could be described as shabby chic - so don't let that put you off)! We loved our little bungalow - the staff kept it spotlessly clean and we slept really well. We met some other brits in the adjacent bungalow who were also on extended travels, and we've all kept in touch, as well as having some drinks together whilst we were there. We also had great fun using the kayaks out in the lagoon and visiting the motu. I would highly recommend these bungalows and having been all around the island on the bus (and stayed west later) the beach is really one of the best / most beautiful places to stay. If you want to self cater then the best supermarket (IMHO) is Prime Foods in Raro - this isn't the one recommended by the venue, but having visited all the spots in Avarua we found this to have the best range of fresh food (it may not be the cheapest but sourcing food in the cooks for self catering can be a challenge). We were able to light up the bbq with some prawns, sausages and asparagus, so we ate really well once we'd sourced where to find decent food!

We loved our stay at Muri Beachcomber. It was relaxing and had everything we needed with the lagoon only mere metres away. The staff were absolutely amazing and so helpful. They really make the place worth booking. Our room was comfortable with the added bonus of being right next to the pool!

Perfect location, great base to explore Rarotonga. We greatly enjoyed our stay at Muri Beachcomber. We had a garden view room. Room was large with couch area, kitchen, and dining table and chairs. Only the bedroom had air conditioning. Spacious bathroom. Loved being close to a great beach. Used the SUP to paddle out around one of the motus and snorkel. Loved wine at sunset at the tables provided beachside. Used the snorkel equipment too. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful with their recommendations. The Muri Night market being next door was perfect for dinner. There is also a little shop open 24/7 right next door to the market with drinks, etc which is very helpful. An ATM as well. Recommend The Seafood Man’a mixed seafood plate and the smoothie place’s Shrimp Pad Thai. LBV cafe was great for breakfast, and the fish place across the street was delicious. Laundry room is provided. We both were super happy with our accommodations here. Muri Beach is a great locale, and the Beachcomber is easy to recommend!

This was our 3rd visit to the Cook Islands and our 3rd stay with Muri Beachcomber. Every time has been a fantastic experience. This resort is low key, but service is excellent. The front desk is always helpful in making reservations, answering questions, or helping us plan out a day. The free washing machine (small charge for dryer) is very convenient. The daily maid service with breakfast packs is friendly and efficient. The location right on the lagoon is fabulous. We enjoyed sunrises with coffee on the deck, paddling kayaks and swimming in the lagoon, and the location convenient to groceries, restaurants, coffee shops, and the Muri Night Market. It's a long haul from Yakima WA to the Cook Islands, but the newer Hawaiian Air route from SeaTac to Honolulu to Roratonga (one time a week on Saturdays, same route back on Sundays) fit well with our travel plans. I hope we get to return again in the future.

Perfect location with the best beach on Rarotonga. Great beach view units with kitchens at a reasonable price. Kayaks, paddle boards, snorkle gear and bicycles are provided. ALL of the staff are the most helpful and friendly folks you will ever meet. We will be returning as soon as we can. Make sure you get a coconut ! Kia Orana
