Good Ol Days Resort

This cottage is very cute and cozy. I do not like the TV above the fireplace as it was too high. The lower bed was uncomfortable. My daughter said the upper on was good.

We stayed in the two-story cottage, very clean, very spacious. Refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, stove, two bathrooms, two bedrooms and a living room/kitchen. Would definitely stay again and it’s right on the lake!

Super friendly and helpful staff. The condo was a perfect setup for my kids and I. Great location within walking distance of dining/shopping and plenty of complimentary amenities such as bikes, balls, kayaks, canoes, games and Paddleboard. Great experience; we’ll be back!

First room had a strong smell of cleaning products. The staff moved us to another room where sink didn’t drain. Took awhile to get fixed and drained slowly.

Great little resort right near the lake! Cozy and comfortable cottages. Loved that we were so close to Nisswa.

Hotel room #1. Outdated room that smelled. Bathroom door would not shut tightly and had to really pull to get it to shut at all. Shower painted a dark brown/maroon with badly patched walls, like they’re covering up something. One hard wooden chair in the room (not an office chair) and VERY poor lighting. I couldn’t see the contents of my luggage at night with both lamps on.Only a very thin, old slide chain and door knob lock for room security. Rustic is not an accurate term. It’s outdated and in BAD need of remodeling. Check in area looks shabby. Entrance shabby. Never would have stayed the 2nd night but had a 2 night minimum. We almost took the loss and left after the first night but stuck it out and did things in Brainerd/Baxter all day so we would only have to sleep there and leave. Weeks ago we had booked the cottages for a large group for a later reservation but cancelled after seeing the worn, tired cottages (also with the dark brown patchy showers!) and after staying in the hotel. Sadly, we trusted the many online reviews and were highly disappointed. We would never recommend this place to anyone. No placating words from a manager about trying to do better in the future will make up for a terrible experience.

Hotel room a/c very loud for sleeping and you should have shoe thongs for the shower.

It was a beautiful setting, great swimming area, friendly staff and good breakfasts. Convenient to downtown. Right next to walking/biking trail.

Our room was nice and the staff was very friendly. The breakfast buffet was lacking, and there were several areas in need of repair, but overall we had a nice time.
