Sandals Ochi Beach Resort (Sgo)

Just wanted to give a few shout outs to membera of the staff! Robert and Peta-***e, our Butlers were outstanding! They went above and beyond and exceeded our expectations! From arranging transportation to various parts of the resort, to the meticulous attention to detail in our room, including snacks for our arrival, beautiful towel decorations in honor of my birthday and our wedding anniversary, to the most amazing romantic bubble bath surprise, they made our vacation SPECTACULAR! We spent a few days out of the resort on our own, and Robert would call to check on us, see if we were okay, and ensure we had dining arrangements on standby upon our return. Dwyane, just such a lovely person, constantly greeting us as we walked around, lovely smile, friendly personality, such a joy to speak to and be around! Tiffanie our Housekeeper…. First of all, congratulations on your up and coming bundle of joy! She worked so hard to keep our room tidy and clean, beautifully made bed! Oh and OTIS from maintenance, thank you soooooo much for quickly working on any maintenance issues Lastly, did I mention all of the adorable cata on the property? They serve a putpose but they make it feel so homey ❤️ See you all again soon!

This was my fifth stay at Sandals. My journey began in 1993. I've visited Montego Bay, Royal Bahamian, La Toc in St. Lucia, Royal Bahamian again (bridesmaid in a destination wedding), and finally Ochi. I state this only as foundation for this review. During my five stays, I’ve been blessed to stay in a butler suite the last three visits. Here’s the thing. My prior two butler suite stays were great, don’t get me wrong, but this third one was once in a lifetime. We will forever remember, cherish, and pray for Peta-***e Davis and Robert Poyser. On a scale of 1-10 they were 100. Their genuine thoughtfulness from day one until day eight was unmatched. After my two previous butler stays, I did not write a review concerning them, much less tear up when saying goodbye. These two are so exceptional their names are imprinted on your heart. Before leaving Ochi we booked our next stay at South Coast since it’s a destination neither one of us has been, but boy it was tempting to book Ochi to be spoiled by Peta-***e and Robert all over again in 2026. One day we will return to be blessed by their sunshine and joy. If you plan to visit Ochi in Jamaica, be sure to request this dynamic duo as your once in a lifetime butlers’. My favorite activity included with your stay is Hobie Cat sailing. When signing up for a boat they ask can you sail? Not proficiently was my answer so they offered to take us. This was great since my partner Dewayne had never been on a Hobie Cat and I knew he could quickly learn by watching someone work their magic. Once on the water, Dewayne started trying to get my attention to look at something he’d noticed. I followed his eyes to discover our captain’s name was also Dewayne. To you this might not seem noteworthy, but it is RARE to find another spelling of the name Dewayne the same. Immediately our captain noticed our smiling and wanted in on the joke. Dewayne explained they shared the same name but it was spelled the same, too. Sandals Dewayne chimed back, “Brother from another mother”! We chuckled and formed an immediate bond. He taught my Dewayne how to sail and our cruise over the ocean made the day. We felt the pressures of our lives melt away and we were officially in paradise! But, not only do the water sports crew have one super star, but two in Capitan Kirk. The second time we went for a sail Kirk was assigned to us. Kirk exudes personality and took us on an extended ride that was super adventurous thanks to the high waves! The smiles on our faces they were priceless. On our last afternoon after our excursion, we rushed to get back for one more sail and Kirk was there for our final ride. He asked Dewayne if he felt he could sail the boat and he said yes. My husband and I went for our honeymoon. The people (staff) there were so incredibly friendly and took the absolute best care of us. We had never been on any kind of vacation where we didn’t do everything ourselves so it was SO nice to sit back, relax and enjoy ourselves. Our Butlers, Melford and Richardo were absolutely AMAZING! Melford arranged for a special honeymoon surprise in our room when we are at the pool. We came back to a beautiful arrangement of flowers and a note on the bed, as well as a beautiful, warm bubble bath waiting for us. Richardo took some time to chat with us and get to know us. We had the best experience and we highly recommend Sandals Ochi! We are already planning our next vacation. THANK YOU JAMAICA, see you soon! Ya Man!

We stayed for 7 nights in a Butler Suite and it was fantastic. Highly recommend the resort. Food and drinks were great. The entertainment was amazing. our butler Shasimi and Jasmin. Both were very attentive. Shasimi went above and beyond in making your special occasions wonderful.

these pictures must be old, the furniture was old, all stairs so be prepared to get your exercise, 800.00 a night was way over priced for what we got. and we go on 5 vacations a year. this is a 350.00 a night resort, we were on hillside with the sandals pool, id like a refund of about half of my 5800.00 out of wine, no olive juice for martinis , no pool side wait staff. its all self serve, and waiting for a drink at any Bar takes forever, id say the rooms were 200.00 a night at most and the food bar should have been no more than 100.00 pp/pn based on my experience with other all inclusive resorts... very disappointed

We had a great vacation here. Loved our entire stay. Service was great, Food was some of the best we've had in Jamaica. So much variety. Entertainment staff were amazing. Played beach volley ball everyday with them. They threw the most awesome Super Bowl Bash i have ever seen with delicious super bowl foods, giant outdoor screens for the game. Kayaks filled with bud light, corona, henekin, and Red*****e. Liquor bars set up and an unbelievable entrance onto the bech when you arrived for the party. Then the next morning, the beach was clean and spotless like it didnt happen 10 oit of 10 on this. The only negative i can mention is if you are looking forward to a long strech of beach. You will be a little dissappointed, however, everything else makes up for this. Thank you Sandals Ochi

Sandals Ochi resort didn’t disappoint- as expected. We booked the Sandals pool club vila on the hill side, got updated room, it was spacious with a fully stocked bar & a spacious patio with a pool that we shared with next door neighbours. However we never saw them during our one week stay. We enjoyed having drinks, coffee & occasional breakfast on our patio. Also the resort is huge and has two sides it was really easy to get around, the shuttle going down to the beach club was always on schedule departing every 10 minutes. The grounds are spectacular, the service was excellent and we really enjoyed the food. The only downside we experienced was a long wait for a main course at the French restaurant- it took almost 2 hours to get the main course! And also I travel a lot & usually pick a resort with beautiful beach, this time we knew we were picking a resort with relatively small beach that was divided into 3 sections and definitely not suited for long walks in a sand. However the beautiful grounds made up for it and we walked a lot. The pools are also spectacular and most people preferred them to the beach, we only enjoyed them sparingly. The entertainment team made sure that everyone had a good time and people really enjoyed all the shows. This was our first time at Sandals Ochi and we really liked our stay. Thank you Sandals for making our vacation a memorable one. J.

There is just not enough space here to write a complete review of how wonderful the staff is at Sandals Ochi! The food is outstanding, the **** Shack, Soy, Vista Sky and Le Gormand are my absolute favorites! The entertainment staff will never let you stop smiling! The bartenders remember the Limey drink and never let my glass empty! Pool side cabana butler are ROCKSTARS! Go Neil and Sheldon! But most importantly- the love and genuine care I received after a pretty brutal accident snapping my knee - nothing anyone could have done to prevent it / Mother Nature and a wave. Huge thank you and so much love and gratitude to Charollottee from Entertainment- stayed with me and continued to find me to check on me, Jovan from Loyalty who came down to check on me all the way from the Hillside, and the guys who carried me from the Hobie, goodness there were three, I only recall Zeus’ name- when I was able to leave the beach, they carried me up 3 flights of stairs and got me to a wheelchair. My only disappointment was that no one from management reached out- but the staff, so many of them kept looking after me for the remainder of the day and the following morning when I departed. Long winded review but if you want incredible customer service, fabulous cuisine and a place to call home, Ochi is it!!!!
