Club Aqua Plaza

After seeing the photos and reading some reviews online we ( 2 adults one child) thought we would take a chance staying here. Wow were we disappointed. The hotel on arrival looked NOTHING like the pictures online made it look (& I know these are promotional but I hoped it would somewhat resemble this), myself and my husband just looked at each other the way that Jay, Neil, Simon and Will all looked at each other when they pulled up to their wonderful retreat in Magluff in the inbetweeners film. - instant regret. Checking into the room was a quick process and the staff are nice and pleasant. We entered our third floor room (in the main building) - what a dive. It didn't look like it had been cleaned just the beds changed. There was other peoples hair on the floor, upon moving the sofa bed there was the previous occupants crumbs / wrappers and mould in the fridge I did go to reception and asked to be moved, they told me that I couldn't be moved but they'd send housekeeping back up. A lovely young man turned up to clean the room and bless him, he must of felt really awkward. I did go to reception the following morning and was told to move to a different room would incur a £200 surcharge!?!?! Apart from the cleanliness the room was an OK size, towels replaced each day. I will add that unless you're in a super deluxe family room or interconnected rooms you won't have the pleasure of balcony card games and fanta lemon when the sun is setting as the are approx 1m length by 90cm height.. a tint rectangle that only one adult can stand out on each night. The slides and Aqua Park were great fun, there was a lack of lifeguards and because of this we witnessed 3 major incidents attending hospital due to lack of health and safety. One guy went head first down an unattended slide and the impact of the water dislocated his shoulder!! Foods a 'meh' its the same thing each day and a nightmare for a child that's got ARFID - yea I did pay £7 for Pringles in the end!! He pretty much lived off rice or plain pasta. The staff & animation team were the highlight of the holiday, they all worked so hard to organise events and keep the drinks topped up.

Hotel swimming facilities are really good. Staff were extremely helpful and always on hand when we needed a drink to cool down! The pool bar waiters especially work their butts off! Hardest working people ive probably ever met! But as far as positives go, thats all I have to say. The holiday went down hill dramatically. The splash are is really run down. The floor is extremely uneven amd even caused my 6 year old to trip over and cut his hand. Alot of the water features on the splash area and the slide area are wither broken or not working at all. We stayed in room 623 and at first signt was a great room. Until we realised that we were right next to the main stage, which blared music out from 10-5 every day. And the base was deafening. We had mould on our ceiling where what looks like a leak had been, real botch job trying to fix that! The paving around the pool areas is very unsafe, very slippery and had lots of patches of fake grass covering uneven/loose bricks. This is a major hazard, especially if someone is unsteady on their feet. If your teenagers (mine are 15&16) get asked to go on an event night with some of the entertainment staff, by all means, let them go. BUT, if you want them coming home at 3.30am after being given alcohol by the entertainment guy who was also absolutely off his face and to also find out that there was naked women in the club ‘working’ my advice would be to say NO!!! I certainly wont be going back to this hotel, its a shame because the guys that work there are amazing but thats really the only good thing to say about this hotel.

The hotel when we first arrived at 0100 in the morning after over 12hrs travel was a little disappointing BUT after a few hours sleep and some sun shine we could not have been more wrong it was amazing, the staff were excellent and really friendly, Ali our trip advisor was always on hand phone or person to help with any questions we had or arrange trips, the hotel had everything we needed and lots we didn’t aswell, the food was superb with lots of variation but a couple of standard bits so the whole family inc one very fussy eater never left breakfast lunch or dinner hungry, would certainly go back

Stayed here for 2 weeks. Room has been immaculate the whole time. Had a few problems with the WiFi being awful and constantly cutting out, the beds are brick hard and the shower soaks the floor every time. Have not heard from anybody in guest relations which I was told i would. Animation team have been fantastic and a special shout out to the entire ******** CREW for making this holiday bearable! Ares, Joker, Ahmodi, Lada, Suzan, Emre,Julia and Ertan. Each made sure we were comfortable, having fun, taken care of and safe. Absolute saviours of this hotel for me so thank you to them!

2 weeks holiday here has the best time, the room has been immaculate the whole time, the WiFi has been really awful and constantly goes on and off, the beds are awful hurts the back like sleeping on bricks, the shower is good but the floor is constantly soaked after using it. The ******** animation crew have been amazing making myself and who I came here with feel welcome and getting us involved with the games, big thank you to ******** CREW for making it a great holiday! Ares, Joker, Ahmodi, Lada, Suzan, Emre, Julia and Ertan. Each one of them helped make this holiday comfortable the best by making us felt taken care for and safe. ABSOLUTE SAVIOURS OF THIS HOLIDAY.... because of them that will be the only reason I come back. Guest relations walk around like zombies and they can't communicate with people in English.

We stayed at this hotel in step with my son who is Autistic, and he found it difficult to settle for first couple days. The staff were so helpful. As I was by myself with him, the staff were very helpful whenever i need help with him or anything else. My son also struggles with lots of sensory issues which makes it difficult to be doing new things with him. So this hotel was perfect for us, we had everything under one place to keep him entertain for the whole week. Like we do the water park during the day and the gaming centre in the evenings or just a walk to beach .

I honestly can't believe how some people have given this a rating above 1 star. The hotel is supposed to be a 4 star, but this can't possibly be correct. The description of facilities is way out. The location is very isolated, no where to go nearby unless you pay quite a price to go in a taxi. Hotel itself is dirty and and in desperate need of a facelift, but if I am honest, knocking down. Rooms have had a poor attempt to be upgraded, new laminate floors in bedroom, bathrooms are a shambles, full of mold and filthy. Blood stains on pillows, holes in pillow cases. Lots of disrepair throughout the hotel, tried to put as many pics as possible on. Restaurant is riddled with cats, there is no way that these cats will have be wormed or treated for fleas, far too many of them and breeding constantly. Encouraged by staff, they roam all over the hotel climb on food surfaces and tables, lounge around on the sofas, not good for anyone with allergies. Food is mundane and a little weird, labels where not changed so you had to guess what things where. I asked staff one said lamb the other said beef. Beach is dull, gritty and pebbly, not safe for young children to go in sea as its quite a drop down that's if they can stand the pain on feet due to stones and pebbles. Cats use the sand as a toilet area so not good for children to be digging with bucket and spade. Overall the description on brochures and websites fail to advertise it correctly

Very enjoyable experience. Food was lovely and great variety at different times throughout the day. Staff was polite and helpful in sorting out any concerns and improving our experience. Cats were often about to enlighten the experience and make it interesting. Beach access was easy as well, along with a snack bar available to satisfy our dietary needs. Overall, it was very relaxing experience and would definitely recommend
