"The hotel in orbost town on the side of A1 road is a little rustic. The location is not easy to find, mainly because the sign at the entrance of the hotel is placed in the bushes, so people can't find it. The service is good. I am worried that we will arrive late, so I have opened the room to ventilate. You can eat in the town across the road, with Chinese food and fast food, and you can buy supermarkets. Stay here overnight and fill up with gasoline tomorrow morning, because there are gas stations and hot food for sale about two hours' drive to NSW."

"Rooms are clean and well appointed, its close to the Orbost Club for a lunch / evening meal & a few beers. It’s a fair walk to get into the Main Street of Orbost that has some very nice little country cafes. Orbost is lovely town. Overall the place is satisfactory but over priced."

"I stopped by for a night on my way from Sydney to Melbourne. It was a pub-hotel in the countryside; as such, it looked a bit dated, but it seemed to have been remodeled. I was generally satisfied with the service, cleanliness, and facilities, but the noise of singing and dancing continued late into the night—past 11 PM—which was a bit disruptive to getting a good rest. Still, it is a small town worth visiting at least once."
