Superb location, and located just above the Nankai Namba station, accessible to most rail lines from the underground. Rooms were considered big for a Japan hotel and service were excellent. Staff were highly professional, friendly and reliable. However, to note that if you wish to use the spa facilities (hot bath and sauna), you will need to get at least a Swiss Select room or higher (executive, suite etc). Otherwise, will need to pay 2200 yen per pax/day for use of the spa facilities. (Suggest for hotel to consider to put the information on their website). For breakfast, we were given an option to buy the breakfast at 20% discount, but will need to book 1 day in advance from hotel lobby. Truly enjoyed our stay and will be back.

The hotel is right next to the Namba Parks Shopping mall. For those who opted to use the Nankai Rapid Train can reach the hotel within an hour from the KIX station, if the queue for buying the train tickets is not too long. From train station, it was simply a 5 to 10min max if with big luggage. Around 10 walk to the nearest Namba Metro Station, or 15 min if you choose to use the Hanshin train line for Kobe or Kintetsu line for Nara as the two train lines shared a common station. The room is spacious for Japanese standards but could be bigger in reality for two people to open both luggages at the same time. It’s good that they have designed the toilet area into three separate spaces, so each space can be utilise by a person at a time without crossing the other’s path. Overall, well recommended for everyone who wants to stay in Namba area, and the staff checking in and out for us was the same person with a super nice and welcoming attitude. Such a good memory to remember.

Although I was not staying at the W, the MIXup cafe is a fun spot in the middle of Osaka to have a tea or coffee and their amazing dessert(s). I was looking to try their seasonal dessert, the strawberry mille feuille, although it was already sold out when I arrived. This gives me another reason to return soon! The staff was so friendly and helpful. Upon arrival, I was swiftly shown to my table that I reserved ahead of time (thanks, Marriott Bonvoy), and was walked through the menu and how their orders work. Many teas to choose from, and the cake I chose was plated so beautifully. The chantilly cream with the berries - out of this world! The entire experience was smooth, and I was delighted with the level of service provided. In a way, this is ”normal” and expected for Japan, but I want to highlight that I really enjoyed this visit and look forward to going back.

It's very, very close to Taisho Subway Station, just a minute's walk away. It only takes another 15 minutes to take the subway to Universal Studios. There are all delicious food and drug stores nearby. The hotel room is small and well-equipped. It is highly recommended.

One of the reasons for the high quality and low price is that the room is not cleaned. Put the garbage and used towels outside the door in the morning, and they will give you new ones. I think it's nice and simple. Came here twice first as part of a group tour and second by ourselves.... the hotel is bright and airy, the rooms light and beds extremely comfortable. the rims have individual split system cool/heat which is much appreciated for those such as myself who enjoy a cooler room. mini bar & air purifier were also well used. the room configuration for us was a little odd and not practical as friends sharing.... the toilet is a separate room (with the door so close to the toilet you have to shimmy round to close) the door.. moreso the sink is in the actual room. I don't like coming out of the toilet to wash my hands and disturbing my friend. also having the bath/shower arrangement with no where to stay really dry unless you come out of the shower (again not practical when sharing as friends) .... however the products provided were excellent and the water pressure also good. a kettle was provided and limited tea/filter coffee provided. Next door to the hotel is a massive supermarket that you can get pretty much anything you want!! However the TV did not have 1 english speaking channel (for a hotel that caters for international visitors this did surprise me, as i've traveled all over the world and there's always 1 - usually news) the window coverings whilst look nice (wooden venetian blinds ) they are not blockout and as such the room gets light before 6 am! As our flight leaves late in the evening we wanted to have a late checkout - the hotel does offer extended check out at a price, however because we were leaving on a Saturday we paid for another night. the bar prices are reasonable (approx $8 AU for a well poured glass of bubbles!) and we had wood fired pizza in the restaurant that was $24 AU each. Breakfast was simple but tasty. (avoid opening time if you can it's a free for all) going down about 8 was quiet lots of seating. Of note the bacon, muesli and yoghurt were all great. lots of asian options

We stayed in this hotel for two nights because of its location - it's right next to the JR Bentencho station and it took only 10 mins to go to USJ, where we joined their countdown party on the New Year's eve. The room was spacious compared to those located in the city centre (e.g. Umeda, Shinsaibashi). It was a good deal to stay in such a big room with this price. It was also clean and quiet, despite its proximity to the train station. Going to the city centre is also easy - you could take local metro to Dohton Bori in 15 mins. The train getting to the Kansai airport also stopped at Bentencho, so you don't have to worry about going to the airport neither! The price comes with breakfast, but we hadn't got a chance to try it. There was also a 7-11 next to the entrance of the hotel - very convenient. There are a number of hotels close to USJ but they are always expensive. I'd recommend this to those who are looking for something economical, while you don't have to sacrifice quality / convenience.

Friendly staff. We had our daily breakfast at the hotel. There was a good variety of different cuisines. Hlad that we had purchased this with our package. Excellent location for us... bascially we were out to different tourist attractions during the day, then returned to Nambo area late in the evening, there was an undergroud walkway with many resturants, *****tores and a big supermarket (which can do immediate tax refund). Highly recommend this hotel . Btw, we took the airport shuttle bus which was directly located beside this hotel. There is a specail passage which goes directly from the hotel to the nambo OCT .
