The service at this hotel is amazing. I have just been for two nights and they treat you like royalty. Nothing is too much and every member of staff is exceptional and they take the time to get to know you, especially Jay and Tony who took the time out to speak to me and ask about my trip. The food was sensational and the bed extremely comfy. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

Overall an enjoyable afternoon tea, although have had better elsewhere. Beautiful setting, lovely dining room and very efficient attentive staff. However, I do object to having a 'non' residents service charge slapped onto the bill even after I had said to the waiter 'that's £35 each then' at no point did he mention or point out on the bill the additional SC was added. Apparently it was at the bottom of the menu on arrival but it must've been in very small print as none of us had spotted it!! I telephoned the next day & Jorge looked into my query & duly rang me back to explain the extra charge but sadly, because of this, doubtful I would return for AT, such a shame 😔

We visited the Woodlands Park on sat 27/04/24, this was for 50th wedding anniversary, the event was held in a private room called the Study, There were 13 guests including 3 under 5’s, the whole afternoon went really well both in presentation and attendance by hotel staff, from reception to waiting staff there seemed a genuine want for myself and my wife and the guests to enjoy a really nice pleasurable experience-Woodlands Park did not fail! I must mention one of the children has an allergy to lactose products- this was not a problem to catering staff even the waiter was very careful explaining to adults to keep this food separate from other meals, I have no concern about recommending this hotel for your event A special mention for Ms C Crombie who assisted us in organising the booking and was always available if we had any queries Well done

We attended a wake on the 23rd April at Woodlands Park Hotel after a funeral and were taken to a private room for refreshments. For our short time at the hotel Jay looked after us from start to finish. Nothing was to much trouble for him and it made our sad day brighten up by his presence and assistance throughout. I will definitely visit again under better circumstances. Thank you Jay 😊 and to all at Woodlands Park Hotel

We arrived an 1 hr 1/2 for a funeral at nearby crematorium - greeted by friendly staff and beautiful surroundings. Utilised loo and had coffees. Returned for wake nothing was too much, food was lovely and Jay was particularly attentive - thx

Attended meetings here and stayed overnight. The rooms were very large and well decorated and kept with good in room facilities. I used the small on site gym which was nice to have after long days sat in meetings. The evening meal was exceptional and the food options during the meeting a very high standard, normally meeting lunch food is pretty standard and easy but this was high quality and well varied. Definitely the nicest food I’ve had at a meeting! Staff were polite and friendly, especially the Reception staff who I had more interactions with.

Not recommended based on our recent stay. Didn't get the room we had reserved but instead initially shown an inferior room that was unsuited due to stairs in and then again starts up to a very small bathroom. Ended up with a disabled room the walking shower proved better but the shower hose was leaking everywhere; the staff were quick to repair it the next day. Stayed for 3 days, enjoyed the wonderful breakfast and pleasant and helpful restaurant staff. Would likely not return as seemed more suited to weddings and events guests since the hotel gives them preferential trea**ent.
