We stayed at Sogod bay for 3 nights. I think it’s the best run dive operation I have dived with, Pedro is not only Charming but also runs a very tight ship, super professional. Luna is also an absolute rockstar and lovely as well. Annalyn helped me organise my trip and was wonderful, she makes a mean fried chicken too! Our room was lovely and clean, and I loved the ceiling fan. If you’re going to Sogod Bay, these are the folks you want to stay with.

Everyone pulls together with great humour and efficiency. They have a stake in this small and well run outfit and it shows. Dive guides are knowledgeable and able and boat crew proactive and helpful. A stunning location with good variety of dive sites and critters to see and photo. Food is varied and good, a mix of Filipino and Western. It’s a quiet place and the main restaurant area shuts at 9 but that’s OK by me. Early to bed early to rise when diving, well done Phil, Pedro, Darleen, David, Gregorio, Raya, Luna, Annelin, Michelle, Nino,Punoy and Aman, I hope to be back

We where there this summer, me and my family. I have never dived before, but choose too go for the PADI open water diver, it looked so exciting. I got a teacher, Pedro, a very experienced and friendly, smiling fellow, who took his time to teach me in a perfect pace. The dives there was so beautiful, for me seeing corals for the first time was mind blowing. In the evenings it was a nice place to relax whit the sound of the ocean, good food and cold beers! Really hope life gives me a chance too swing by again one day!

The attention to detail from the team at Sogod was amazing. It was definitely one of the most relaxing and well run dive holidays I've been on in recent years. I'll definitely be making plans to come back soon!

Quite possibly one of the most beautiful places on earth, coupled with an excellent restaurant, a gorgeous hotel, clean room with all the amenities and friendly and attentive staff. The service is top tier, the view of the ocean, and the mountains on the other side is breathtaking. If you are thinking of coming to see for yourself, I highly recommend it.

This resort was recommended by a diver photographer couple who keep coming back— for good reason. The two sisters who run the place: Annalyn and Reia are outstanding. Annalyn communicates at all hours of the day and night to book your accommodation and book your transfers, etc. Reia takes your meal orders. They are both warm and friendly as are the owners snd rest of the staff. Accommodation is simple but cozy. The rooms which are close to the restaurant and beach are more expensive and older than the larger and newer units a two minute walk away. I preferred the latter. WIFI is free and good. The food is very good with lots of vegetarian options. In fact, there is even a veggie menu. Padre Burgos Pier night dive is a must do as often as possible. (Offered 3 times a week.) I was diving by myself and a minimum of four are required to see farther flung places, so I dived close to the house reef. This has been damaged by Typhoon Odette a year ago but Phil (the Australian owner) is working on regrowing it. It’s still a dive with lots of fish. Dave is a patient snd good divemaster. Rental equipment is in good condition and they stock large size wet suits and booties. A few times a month they offer all day whale shark trips. Spotters (local fishermen) paddle out in a bay around two hours from the resort to find the whalesharks. Then you fin like mad to keep up with these beautiful creatures. I very much enjoyed my stay at this resort.

I absolutely loved my time at Sogod Bay. Diving and dogs in a tropical paradise, what more could you want. I'll split the review into two parts, diving and resort. Diving - Sogod Bay is honestly one of the most beautiful places I've been lucky to dive in. Granted my experience is not huge (3 trips overseas and have the advantage of being on the East Coast of Australia) but still it is stunning. Limisawa Island is a must if you get the chance. Clear beautiful water, healthy coral and lots of critters and life. We manage to get to Little Lembeh which is a Muck Site and can be a hit and miss with conditions and diving but if you can get there it is amazing. I would argue it was better than Dauin and Dumaguete but I'll let you make that judgement ;) Resort - I really enjoyed the resort but just be prepared that when we are all saying it is beautiful it is because it is a simpler life at the resort. It's an opportunity to unwind and relax in a quiet and chilled place. The food is amazing, service is great and the vibe is homely. The rooms have everything you will need but water pressure can sometimes be an issue. IF there are any dramas ask and they will do whatever they can to help. I really enjoyed my time with these guys. Can't recommend them enough.

Sogod Bay Scuba resort is one of the best run Dive Resort we have been too with excellent customer service in all areas. The resort provides a variety of diving including: Walls, Reefs, Drift, Muck diving and Whale Shark trips when in season. The small resort has two instructors and with excellent safe Dive operations, detailed briefings and Nitrox for every dive. The dive guides were excellent pointing out rare fish and critters. The resort owners are on-site and often diving with you. Snacks and drinks were provided between all dives. We were most impressed with the restaurant and the new chef that has been on staff for less than a year. The full-service restaurant features fresh cooked dinner and lunch specials and dessert. Over 70% of the guests are repeat customers who will be delighted with the new chef. A few more places to hang towels, swim suits etc…. would be appreciated. The in-room TV did not seem to be working the week we were there. Good Wi-Fi connections and reservations were easy to make with prompt responses for all questions and inquiries. Most of the staff have been at the resort for years.

I’ve been coming here since 2006 and always enjoy the first class diving, the accommodation, food, and friendly, helpful staff. This time I came with my 16 year old daughter who learned to dive at SBSR when she was 10. We spent 3 days diving and had some great dives with our knowledgeable divemaster Dave.
