Love this hotel friendly staff clean good entertainment.

Visited for my 40th birthday with my husband. We were upgraded to the Singer suite and the view from the large bay window was truly beautiful. The room was very spacious and the bed was really comfortable. The room was dated and worn in places but it is an old building. A few of the light bulbs didn't work but the room had a lovely feeling and was clean. The best thing about this hotel has to be the Staff! The receptionists were amazing especially Stanze who really made us feel really welcome. She gave her all to every customer and I would definitely give her a raise! The food was also noteworthy. We had the 3 course meal in the lovely dining room. The sorbet as a pallet cleanser was a lovely touch. The food was all fresh and tasty! Breakfast was also perfectly cooked and there was plenty of choice for the continental. The swimming pool was very nice, but it is worth noting to book ahead way in advance for any beauty treatments. We tried to book massage a week in advance and they were fully booked. Swimming and meals should also be pre-booked. The bed, breakfast and room deal is good as it saves a lot and also includes free swimming which is otherwise £5 per room. Lastly, the artwork around the hotel really gave the place a luxurious feel and the grounds were well kept with adequate parking Looking forward to our next stay!

Just went for an afternoon cream tea, a Mother’s Day present from my son. Nice, but nothing out of the ordinary. The down side — a small piece of “greenery” that came out of one of the tea-pots. Doubt it was part of the meal. Pointed out to the waitress, but that’s as far as it went.

A lovely hotel situation in a perfect spot. The superior room we had was overlooking the garden which was wonderful. All our needs were met and excelled. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

Advertised with parking. And it does. The parking is better than some in the area, it they require you to display a naff piece of paper in your windscreen to avoid £100 fine. My main gripe is that I booked a hotel with gym facilities included, but on checking in was presented with a ‘welcome letter’ that says I have to pay £5/visit to the gym. I see that as misrepresentation. If not outright fraud.

My husband and I stayed here for four days. It was a quick break gifted to us by our son. All I can say is it was absolutely wonderful. The staff are so warm, welcoming and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble. We had a double room with a sea view. The room was clean and very comfortable. The breakfast was a good size too and we were never rushed to decide what we wanted. There was entertainment in the evening in the lounge or you could have a quiet drink in the conservatory, whatever you wanted to do you were able. I would definitely return. Thank you to all the wonderful staff that we met.

We booked 2 rooms for a 1 night stay. Room 83 on the ground floor was awful, stains, wallpaper peeling off wall, smelt & constant noise from the foyer and kitchens whose doors were opposite. Other room on 2nd floor was better & quieter. Breakfast was good & service very friendly. Parking great & location spot on. We’d have like to have been told about the spa/pool, and some information in the room about hotel facilities etc. Would we stay again? Probably…I think we were just unlucky with the rooms we were given.

We keep coming back here as the staff have always been so friendly and helpful. The location is excellent as right on the seafront. Plenty of car parking spaces and bus station and town centre only 10 minutes walk from Hotel.

We enjoyed a 5 day stay in March. The weather was kind to us which helps. The room was nice - it was one of their prestige 'singer' rooms with a balcony. The bed was not very comfortable and the pillows need improving. The food was excellent and the table d'hote menu was very good indeed. Overall, a very good experience and excellent value.
