Paris 8th arrondissement-Elysee Hotels

I had a double room. It was very clean and calm, with a large bathroom. The rooms' decoration is certainly dated and basic but it is functional. The person at the reception the day I left was extremely helpful. The hotel is very conveniently located: about 100m from Gare Saint Lazare (and the metro) and very close to shops and large department stores in a very lively neighbourhood. I would happily stay there again. Great value for money.

This is our favourite hotel in Paris. The area is a real Parisian neighbourhood- not too many tourists, close to 3 metro stations but very walkable to all parts of Paris. The hotel is charming - with quality touches all through the hotel. It is staffed 24 hours, the owners are professional and kind and do their utmost to make your stay as comfortable as possible. We stayed in June - walked the French Camino - and returned in July. Catherine, the owner held a bag for me for over a month which was terrific. The rooms are compact but really nicely decorated with everything you need for a pleasant stay. Beds are comfortable, there is a safe, wardrobe, flat screen TV with many channels including the BBC for English speakers, chairs, great wifi and well appointed bathrooms. Some rooms have balconies. The hotel has a small lift unlike many in Paris. Breakfast is also available. There are some lovely restaurants and bars in the close by Rue de Levi’s and Rue de Dames. Highly recommend.

The premium quadruple room is newly renovated and had huge comfortable bathroom with bath tub and separate shower room and wc. The quadruple room had a king bed and a queen sofa bed. When the sofa bed is opened there's no room to walk. The main lift broke down one the day we checked out. Luckily there are other smaller lifts nearby. Breakfast was very good with sausages bacan boiled eggs and many types of pastries, cereal, milk, juices and coffee. Very convenient location.

I am extremely satisfied with my stay at the hotel during my 4 day visit to Paris. the friendly service, the cleanliness, the delicious food, the pleasant atmosphere (nice music, calmness and politeness from Sasha, Patrick, Isabelle and the women who take care of the cleanliness and the delicious breakfast). very convenient location, as well as proximity to a metro station. Lovely lovely staff and very nice hotel. This hotel is located in a very central area, rooms were spacious and well appointed and just an amazing staff. Probably some of the friendliest people I've ever met at a hotel. Hotel has a few quarks like small elevator and waiting for hot water in the morning but would definitely recommend.

Astoria hotel give as a 5 star experience, from the moment we enter the hotel warmed welcome and assisted by one of the receptionist the hospitality of the staff and it feels like home for us. Special mention to Mr. Tej a cheerful guy for being helpful and hospitable. And also special thanks to Merly, william and Sid Thank you for the memorable experience. Indeed, we will stay again in this wonderful hotel.

We booked the hotel with breakfast, the hotel is not big, it is an apartment hotel, the breakfast restaurant is not big, it is warm, there is a special service, the hotel is located near the Concorde Square, walking to the Champs Elysées is not too far, the location is still can

This is a wonderful hotel to stay. The location is perfect for any trip you planning in Paris. There are many supermarkets and restaurants nearby. The breakfast was delicious. The staff at the hotel is friendly and helpful. They speak several languages. A free coffee machine in the room was a wonderful thing to have. Overall it was a pleasure to visit this place.

The hotel room was ok, albeit small, but comfortable. The breakfast was good, especially the croissants. What I don't like was when I coordinated with the reception desk for a taxi from the hotel to Paris Nord (train station) which was just 2.5 kms away. The receptionist said it was €35! The driver charged me €37. I'm pretty sure that the receptionist and taxi driver were conniving to charge a steeper price for just a 2.5 kms distance. I would have taken the subway for just €1.90 if it were not for my heavy luggage. Taxis in Paris are not flagging their meters and mulct tourists with the help of hotel receptionists. So beware! This hotel should maintain a good reputation since they have many branches.

Cet hôtel est à fuir ! Le personnel est de mauvaise foi, menteur et ”embrouilleur”, donc impossible de se faire entendre et d'obtenir un quelconque service. Et quand j'ai demandé le nom du gérant pour le joindre directement on m'a répondu que le personnel n'avait pas le droit de donner son nom ?! J'ai réservé en mai une chambre pour 2 personnes pour 5 nuits en appelant directement l'hotel J'ai demandé un mail de confirmation : 5 nuits en chambre Exe (cutive) n°204. Sur place, la clim ne marchait pas, le gardien de nuit a proposé de la régler à partir du central, sans succès. Il m'a dit de nous servir gratuitement dans le mini bar, et quand j'ai demandé un ventilateur, il m'a répondu qu'ils étaient tous déjà pris... le problème de clim semblait donc être général. Après vérification du planning, il m'a dit que le lendemain ils transfèreraient nos valises en chambre 104, même type de chambre, Le lendemain soir, il nous donne la clé de la chambre 102 !? Un chambre de catégorie inférieure, très petite, avec une fenêtre sur cour et complétement obstruée par l'énorme machinerie de la clim de l'hôtel, qui fait un bruit monstrueux et qui dégage une chaleur insupportable. Donc impossible de garder la fenêtre ouverte ! Quand je lui rappelle sa proposition de la vielle, il me soutient qu'il ne m'a jamais proposé la chambre 104, qui de toute façon n'est pas disponible ... Dans la chambre la clim étant verrouillée, impossible de la modifier, j'appelle l'accueil : même réponse que la veille, il va voir avec le central mais sans résultat ! Le 3ème soir, pas d'autre proposition de chambre, la clim toujours verrouillée. Nous nous sommes débrouillés tous seuls en trouvant le mode d'emploi sur Internet. Le jour du départ, j'ai demandé un remboursement de la différence entre la catégorie de chambre précisée dans le mail de confirmation (Exécutive) et celle de la chambre que nous avons réellement occupée (Deluxe - très petite). On m'a répondu que j'avais été surclassée dès le départ comme c'était précisé sur la fiche de réservation INTERNE ! Mais à aucun moment, on ne m'en a informé, ni par téléphone ni par mail. Il me répond que j'étais d'accord puisque j'ai transmis mes cordonnées bancaires !!, ça n'a aucun rapport ! et c'est le mail de confirmation qui vaut contrat entre l'hôtel et le client !!! Donc pour eux, ni ce qu'ils disent, ni ce qu'ils écrivent n'a de valeur ! C'est la porte ouverte à tous les abus et à la malhonnêteté... CQFD
