TTutti.ToeteeReview: A Beautiful, Design-Led Oasis in Fisherman’s Village We recently stayed at the Hansar Samui, and it is truly a beautiful property with a thoughtful design. The location is perfect—just a short, pleasant stroll away from Fisherman’s Village, making it easy to explore the local area while still feeling like you have a quiet retreat to return to. The Highlights Dining Experience: The breakfast was a standout. I particularly appreciated having eggs made fresh to order; there is nothing worse than pre-cooked, rubbery eggs left under heat lamps, so this was a huge bonus for me. The Vibe: The swimming pool is lovely, and the beach is kept very clean. The hotel maintains a relaxed atmosphere, complemented by a great selection of background music. Service & Little Touches: The staff were incredibly welcoming and kind. I loved the ”turn-down” service around 5:00 PM, where housekeeping brought little chocolates and water—an adorable touch that made us feel looked after. Facilities: The gym is clean and well-maintained. Crucially for those working remotely, the Wi-Fi was excellent and reliable enough for me to take Zoom meetings without any issues. Room Design: The rooms are beautifully decorated with stunning balconies and views. The bathroom was a highlight, especially the large rainfall shower. Room Comfort & Maintenance We did have a significant issue with the bed. The mattresses are very soft, which didn't suit us at all as my husband has a bad back. It made sleeping quite difficult. However, the staff were wonderful and tried their best to accommodate us; they helped remove the mattress so we could sleep on the wooden base with just the mattress topper. While not ”luxury” comfort, it was much better for his back than the soft mattress. We also had a few issues with a temperamental toilet flush, but to the hotel's credit, maintenance was very prompt in coming to fix it each time. Dining & Logistics We had dinner at the restaurant one evening, ordering the Massaman curry and Chicken Panang. While the food was edible, it was just ”okay”—we were perhaps expecting a bit more given how high the quality of breakfast was. That said, the view from the restaurant in the evening is spectacular, and they occasionally have lovely entertainment. One small hiccup occurred when we booked a taxi through the hotel to take us to the pier for our trip to Koh Phangan. The driver unfortunately dropped us at the wrong port. We had to quickly catch a Grab to the correct one, but luckily we made it just in time for our ferry. Overall Despite a few minor glitches, this was a wonderful stay. The aesthetic of the hotel is gorgeous, and the professionalism of the staff ensures that any issues are handled quickly. I would definitely recommend Hansar for anyone looking for a stylish and relaxed stay in Samui!

Whether you’re enjoying the sunrise or simply soaking in the natural beauty from the balcony, it’s easy to unwind here. The hotel itself is very comfortable, with well-appointed rooms that make you feel right at home. The cozy bed and tranquil ambiance contributed to a restful stay. The staff was friendly and accommodating, adding to the overall relaxing vibe. GGuest UserGarrya Tongsai Bay Samui is one of those places that stays with you. What really makes the difference is the people. The service is excellent, but more importantly, it feels sincere. The staff are genuinely kind, always smiling, always present, and somehow they manage to make everything feel easy and natural. You never feel rushed or overlooked, just quietly taken care of. Special thanks to ”mamy” the fruit lady at breakfast that is a pure expression of joy and the Yoga and Muay Thai instructor. The facilities are beautiful and very well maintained, but without feeling stiff or overdesigned. Everything works, everything feels comfortable, and there’s a calmness to the whole place that makes you slow down almost without noticing. Rooms, pools, spa, restaurants, all of it feels thoughtfully done. The setting is something special. Surrounded by greenery and right on a peaceful bay, it feels private, quiet, and deeply connected to nature. You hear the sea, the wind in the trees, and very little else. It’s the kind of place where you can actually relax. Nothing here feels forced or flashy. It’s just consistently good, warm, and balanced. A place you leave feeling better than when you arrived. Can't wait to be back to this special place.

SStephy007Another Amari disappointing stay. first was amari hua hin and 2nd is this hotel. stayed in amari koh samui for 4nights, we just got back from koh samui a few days ago. location wise sure cant deny that, it's by the beach front, 5 mins drive away from central koh samui mall and walking from the night life but so does other resorts around the area. when you get to the hotel specially after paying so much per night and to be classified as a 5 star hotel, you expect a good service, a 5 star service. Specially when the first point of contact to the customer service is the front staffs, however very disappointing. Most, if not all of the staffs doesnt seem to smile at all. We arrived early so we had lunch first and sure they managed to give us earlier check in at almost 2pm, their check in is at 3pm. we let it go perhaps we were just too tired and sensitive as we just arrived in koh samui and it was humid, however, throughout our stay their customer service was absolutely lacking. VERY LACKING. specially a few staffs driving the buggy service, we even had an accident one time when we were on our way back to the room, one of the driver drove so fast, THEY ALL DRIVE REALLY FAST, and he rammed onto one of the on coming buggy, i was holding my baby so tight. luckily nothing happened to us. same buggy driver who was had a grumpy look the entire stay and we saw him throwing luggages on to the buggy instead of handling them with care. so when you are taking a buggy, tell them to drive slow. the room, we booked a connecting room, which was a mistake. booking 2 rooms would have been cheaper but anyhow, the room was not clean at all, the bathtub was moldy the floors felt dirty and there were alot of mosquitos every single day. first day we arrived we killed 10 mosquitos in one room whats up with that. breakfast had good selections, they have 3 pools around the resorts as it is a big resort best one is the one over looking the beach, kid friendly pool. they have kids room, not that big just a small room.. anyway overall would i come back here in Amari Koh Samui, absolutely NOT. Would i recommend amari koh samui, absolutely NOT. if you want to stay in a beach front, there are alot of beach front resorts near amari and around the area check that out.. they did something nice from my baby;s birthday, decorated the mirror and gave cake so i appreciated that. with kids i would recommend hyatt koh samui, they are friendlier to kids and service is top notch. we moved there after amari THANK GOODNESS

GGuest UserDuring the Chinese New Year, hotel prices were outrageous. I unexpectedly booked this hotel, which had very few Chinese guests, and the price was very reasonable. To my surprise, the rooms were quite good, spacious, and both rooms had small balconies. The hotel environment was also nice, with two swimming pools, one by the sea and one outside the villas. The rooms were generally clean, but the air conditioning hadn't been cleaned in a long time; you could see a layer of dust in the vents. The hotel breakfast was a bit disappointing, with not much choice or variety, and no kids' meals, which wasn't very friendly for picky eaters. The hotel is within walking distance of a local restaurant with good reviews (recommended on Xiaohongshu for beautiful sunset views). Although most staff didn't speak Chinese, they were very enthusiastic. Except for one male front desk staff member wearing glasses. When checking in, I mentioned my early flight and was advised to pre-order a breakfast box the day before. However, this staff member kept trying to get me to book a car (a private van costs 700, the hotel charges 1000). I said three times that I wanted to order breakfast, but he acted as if he didn't hear me. It wasn't until I said I wasn't booking a car and just wanted breakfast that he told me to go eat at the restaurant myself! He had a disdainful attitude throughout. I've been to so many countries and so many hotels, and this is the first time I've encountered such terrible service.

GGuest UserI highly recommend staying in a beachfront room or higher if you choose this hotel; other room types are not worth it (the square in the picture is beachfront, and even the 'beautiful sea view' room we stayed in for one night wasn't great). I also wouldn't recommend staying during the rainy season. The only time this hotel feels worth it is when you're in a beachfront room with an unobstructed sea view. The common areas are very limited, we didn't even check them out and don't know if there's a beach. The room facilities feel quite dated, the breakfast was very mediocre, and the service was just okay. However, on a sunny day, the beachfront rooms with their direct sea views and the rooftop sea view restaurant can make the stay worthwhile. The main meals at the restaurant were good.

GGuest UserThis hotel is perfect - I would give it 11/10 if I could. It is a central location but quiet - so its a couple of minutes walk to bars or to the night market for food. The rooms are lovely and have air conditioning, there is a nice pool and the private beach is immaculate. If there are no beach beds available, they will put one out for you straight away - nothing is too much trouble for the staff there. The staff are amazing - friendly and professional. The breakfast is excellent, there is a lot of variety and choice and the cocktails are delicious. While we were there, there was a wedding at the hotel. The amount of care and preparation the staff put in was lovely - it was the most beautiful wedding I have ever seen. In the unlikely event I ever get married - I would want it at this hotel after seeing how amazing it was. They set everything up on the beach and made it perfect for the family. I genuinely have nothing bad to say about this place - the hotel and the location is amazing, there are numerous trips and excursions that could be booked from there with pick up and drop off. I would 100% go there again and wouldn't want to stay anywhere else. Lamai has enough to do but is not as crazy as Chaweng - the island is paradise and the people are lovely. I have never felt so safe anywhere in the world. I would 100% recommend staying here.

GGinny_Beautiful looking hotel, quiet and relaxed but also just a short scooter ride away from Fisherman’s village. For everyone confused about the beach situation: there is a long bit of beach by the hotel. The hotel itseld doesn’t have beds on the beach itself, however, the beds are just above and around the pool area that overlooks the beach. If you wanna lay on the beach, in the morning there is high tide so you won’t be having much sand to lay on, still good for a swim. In the afternoon/evening there is low tide so you can put your towel down easily.

步行 | TravellerThe positive thing about this place is that it is extremely centrally located on Chaweng beach with walking distance to the beach front and the big mall nearby, with plenty of restaurants and easy access to tours and transportation. The staffs are friendly and the house-cleaning seems to be great also. There are some downsides, however. 1. The breakfast was extremely crowded especially in the morning with very very limited options. I once saw about dozens of people simultaneously handing tickets for the only chef at the egg station, which resulted in very long wait time (I didn't even get the food, they lost the ticket). 2. The other guests are extremely loud at all hours of the day even deep at night. The hotel should really implement a quiet hour policy. 3. There were also a lot of trash on the beach in front of the hotel and no one is bothering to pick it up. All facilities are massively over-utilized and the entire place feels crowded. 4. The room felt very old and (understandably) damp, with very poor Wifi reception. The overall Wifi reception at this hotel is poor and occasionally the Wifi is just completely down. 5. The restaurant was on the expensive side. You do have to walk a bit to find more reasonable prices (for me).
