The Bell Inn was such a unique and beautiful place to stay super close to Salem. The restaurant and speak easy style bar were also awesome!

We like the chill vibe, a bed & breakfast feel.At check in we got a tour and explanation of where things are, how to access our room along with other options such as; dinner, drinks at Speakeasy bar below restaurant & Brunch. The Inn & our room was Clean & comfortable with some other nice options on the property. One being a common area deck outside for guests stsying the night. The coffee area with fresh fruit and homemade pastries was nice to wake up too. After check out we had brunch, it was delicious. I had something I have never seen on any menu. It was Eggs Benedict with shortribs, it was fantastic! We Plan on going back soon for my birthday, it was a great date night!

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The interior is beautiful and had a very tavern-like atmosphere. The room was clean and comfortable. It felt like we were the first people to stay there. Shower had great water pressure.

Checking in was slow, but the young receptionist was friendly and welcoming and the place is beautiful. Check out was non existent! There seemed to be nobody there. I choose to stay at inns rather than with a large hotel chain because generally they feel a little more personal. I think the Bell Inn is more focused on the guests restaurant experience rather than the overnight guests. Dinner was great. Good food and good service. My last impression is leaving a cavernous empty space on a cold snowy morning without the option of breakfast or even a self serve coffee. Not a good last impression and certainly I didn’t feel like a well taken care of guest as I was leaving. The place is beautifully restored and restaurant is great. But service for overnight guests seems to be non existent. Disappointed
