Staying at a guesthouse near the Tianchi service area is very convenient, as it's close to the scenic area shuttle bus. The owner of Shangan Guesthouse is incredibly kind and welcoming, treating us like family. The large kang (heated brick bed) we booked was warm all night, and the food was delicious and tasted just like home. I especially loved the wild vegetable buns for breakfast. We had a very comfortable stay with no unpleasant room odors, and the soundproofing was acceptable. I think this is a very good guesthouse in the mountains, and I would definitely choose this guesthouse again if I visit Arxan again! 😆

The hotel itself is very basic but it's normal in the country. The position is great, very close to the platform from where buses leave to go to the Park's attractions. Also there's a supermarket and several restaurants around. Don't get scared if you don't find anyone at the reception, there's a telephone number, and when they show up, they are very helping and easygoing. No one speaks English but no one does in that area.

The boss is super enthusiastic, and the free self-driving tour line in Aershan must be reserved in advance. Thanks to the boss's help, otherwise we will not be able to get in at all! , I also took us to visit the niche attractions hidden by locals. It is not a place where tourists gather. The scenery is absolutely amazing. I walked on the side of the road to explain. Many seats are generally not available to tourists. The homestay can also have dinner! The home-cooked food tastes very real. I am really lucky to meet this kind of boss who is not routine when I travel.
