Some hotels give you a five-star experience from the moment you check in, while others start off just okay and then gradually earn their five stars. Qi Man belongs to the latter. To be honest, Qi Man wasn't the hotel I was looking for. Initially, I just wanted to find a highly-rated, clean, and pet-friendly hotel in Lijiang. When I saw Qi Man had the highest rating and best reviews, I booked it. It was only when I was driving there that I realized it wasn't near Lijiang city but rather in Lugu Lake. To my surprise, there was even an entrance fee to stay in Lugu Lake, and I almost turned back. Upon arrival, we couldn't park directly in front of the hotel. Although the hotel provided shuttle service back and forth, it was still quite inconvenient. Also, when I entered the room, there was a smell of smoke from the headboard. However, the hotel staff's service attitude eased my anxiety and frustration, making me willing to stay for one night. If I had left the next day, I probably would have given Qi Man a quite low rating. But on the second day, seeing the scenery of Lugu Lake, the backyard of Qi Man, and the swaying tree shadows, I suddenly felt much better. The staff were friendly, there were many kittens in the backyard, and also fruit trees. The entire hotel design was also thoughtfully done. Because of this, I didn't regret staying for a few days as planned and even extended my stay for a few more days. If I had left on the third day, I would have definitely given Qi Man a five-star rating. Unfortunately, on the fourth day, someone was smoking on the balcony. Qi Man's design is excellent, and the lake views are fantastic. Sitting on the balcony with a coffee, enjoying the cool breeze and the lake and mountain scenery, is pure bliss – but not when you're inhaling second-hand smoke, which also drifts into the room. So, I can't give five stars for hygiene.

I brought my kids to Lugu Lake and was worried about the guesthouse's conditions before checking in. However, it completely exceeded my expectations and gave my kids so many pleasant surprises. Now I understand why it has so many good reviews! 👍 First, the service: every staff member was warm and polite. Someone always helped us with our luggage upon arrival and departure. Our 'Zhoma' (staff member) in particular was enthusiastic, thoughtful, and meticulous, truly making us feel at home! 👍 The hotel environment is truly excellent, right by the lake. Sitting on the balcony, sipping coffee and enjoying the lake view was incredibly relaxing. It was very quiet at night; besides the sound of the waves, there was hardly any noise. Even I, who has extremely high standards for sleeping environments, slept soundly until morning! 👍 The hygiene and cleanliness were even more impressive. You can tell the owner pays great attention to detail. All disposable amenities were provided, including disposable toilet seat covers, disinfectant wipes, and even feminine products. I didn't even need to use my own disposable items! 👍 Plus, the hotel also offered a nine-grid breakfast, afternoon tea, and goodnight desserts. Every little detail was incredibly thoughtful! 👍 If I ever get the chance to visit Lugu Lake again, or if friends come to visit, I will definitely recommend this hotel! 👍👍👍

My first review on Ctrip is dedicated to Muyu Guesthouse in Lugu Lake. As someone who doesn't like to do much research, I'm always afraid of being misled by online photos before booking. After browsing hundreds of hotels and guesthouses, I finally chose Muyu, which I suppose was fate. The result far exceeded my expectations: the entire guesthouse is decorated in warm orange tones, and every room exudes a cozy and romantic atmosphere. I especially loved the small garden on the first floor—among the guesthouses in the area, only Muyu has maintained its plants so meticulously, perfect for photos and for pets to play in. The short-haired landlady is efficient and warm, with a natural radiance in her conversation. From the spatial layout to the service details, her thoughtfulness is evident everywhere. Even the recommended local restaurants were a pleasant surprise. Lugu Lake is already a paradise worth visiting repeatedly, and Muyu's existence gives this longing a true home. After returning home, Mr. Z was inspired to write a poem for Muyu as a token of his gratitude: Muyu: Emerald green hills creep up the steps at dawn, the reed gates open to reveal a lush dew. Muyu The aroma of beans cooked in the spring fills the house; the cauldron, like clouds, is simmered, its surface shimmering like silk. Occasionally, mountain birds are called to add to the wild vegetables; sometimes, the moon shines on the fragrant cup. The most sentimental is the guest by the abyss, who rises at dawn to simmer a soup of fine, delicate ingredients.

I booked a designer hotel right by the lake in Daluoshui Village this time. The butler contacted me in advance to arrange my check-in, and there was a dedicated car to pick me up from the entrance of Daluoshui Village. The hotel is very new, the room had no strange odors, and the amenities were quite comprehensive. The butler, Zhaxi Yangge, provided warm and thoughtful service, and even gave me a souvenir when I left. P.S. The scenery was incredible all three days I was here, and coupled with the hotel's exceptional service, this trip to Lugu Lake was absolutely worth it!

This is the most comfortable homestay I have stayed in during my one-week trip to Yunnan. The decoration is fresh and simple, the room is large, clean and sanitary, and there is a terrace. You can watch the sunrise in the morning and the stars on the terrace at night. It is really comfortable. The boss and his son are very enthusiastic. The uncle also took time to take us around Lugu Lake, especially to Goddess Bay to watch the sunset, and took the Goddess Mountain Cableway. It is really super beautiful to overlook Lugu Lake from the top of the mountain. It is really a super happy travel experience.

The hotel is located on the lakeside not far from the lake area. The balcony faces southeast. We arrived in the afternoon and saw the beautiful scenery of Lugu Lake. Lugu Lake is quiet and beautiful, just like this hotel and the hostess of the hotel. A girl, enthusiastic and sincere. We thought that afternoon tea was just a cup of tea and a few biscuits. But they had 4 kinds of fruits, French fries and chicken nuggets, and the tea was also a local specialty flower tea. It was very attentive at first glance. There were also desserts in the evening. The rice noodles for her breakfast were much better than those in most restaurants. The hotel is clean, well-equipped, and the hot water in the bathtub is sufficient. It adds a lot of color to the trip to Lugu Lake. I look forward to going there again next time.

The lake view is absolutely stunning! Breakfast was served promptly and was very tasty. Taking a hot spring bath was particularly comfortable – pure bliss! We booked rooms with private hot tubs for both nights, which was incredibly relaxing. The place was also very clean. Plus, there's a street full of eateries right out the back door, making it super convenient to stay here in Daluoshui Village.

One of the most satisfying B&Bs I've stayed in is Muyun Villa! The decoration of the B&B combines Chinese and Mosuo styles, which is very unique. The viewing balcony in the room is amazing, and the sunrise and sunset are so beautiful that I'm speechless. Every moment here is very pleasant, and I will come again next time!

This hotel offers great value for money. From the third-floor balcony, you can enjoy views of Mount Gemu Goddess and the lake. The illuminated landscape pool in the courtyard at night is truly beautiful. Small to medium-sized dogs can stay for free. The location is excellent, very close to Sanjiacun Pier and various restaurants. Navigation is clear, and having a parking lot within the hotel premises is very convenient. The bedding is clean, and the floors are tidy. It's thoughtful that you can arrange for housekeeping after you wake up (though it would be even better if the auntie didn't knock on the door in the morning!). The front desk staff are very diligent. They followed a professional script during check-in and informed me in advance that although my reserved room met my orientation request, it only offered a courtyard view. However, the upgraded lake view rooms face east and north. They were also very responsive throughout my stay. The whole house features intelligent XiaoDu smart home devices and comprehensive energy facilities, including accessible amenities. What's truly commendable is that all the bathrooms are equipped with TOTO products, and they've invested heavily in TOTO's own Washlets – this was the most comfortable toilet experience during my trip west. The landscape pool and the Zen-inspired interior design are quite comfortable, but the sound insulation is just average (-0.2). Breakfast is provided, but I didn't eat it, so I can't comment. Late check-out available (+0.5). Room upgrade received (+0.5). Laundry room available (+0.5). The landscape pool and courtyard are big plusses (+0.5). No deductions so far.

Upon arrival, hotel manager Lamu greeted us with a warm smile and told us she could upgrade us to an even nicer room to welcome us to her lovely guesthouse. The location was great, the view wonderful and the breakfasts each morning were just right (and they served you sitting, vs. having to go through a buffet line)! The decor of the hotel is stunningly beautiful with lush gardens, rustic antiques and modern amenities all complementing one another. Lamu kindly offered to help us with any local tourism or transportation needs and easily accommodated our request to add a day onto our reservation, even giving us her personal cell phone number to contact her with any needs. We will definitely stay there each time we visit Lugu Lake!
