The Seaview sits on the harbour side edge of Boddam, a rather remote village which I hadn’t visited for more than five decades – when I used to buy a poke of chips from a van parked down our way. Things have changed. Now, with The Seaview, you’ll receive the best individual attention and professional hospitality surely to be found along this hard-weathered coastal region. And the best, fresh, Peterhead Haddie and Chips you could ever wish for. Not to mention a truly triumphant Cullen Skink. Jamie and his Team clearly work hard to be warm and welcoming to guests, visitors and yet remain forward-reaching and community-focused to those closer to hand. As a result, lunch was an easy, breezy affair; we loved the animated vibe, the personal attention and the considered menu which manages to deliver to every taste. Do yourself a favour – go the extra mile, go posh or go casual, either way you’ll leave with a smile on your face. Whatever the weather.

What a warm welcome, followed by a beautifully presented and delicious evening meal. The two rooms we booked where stylish, modern and clean. All of the above is true, but what lifts this hotel out of the ordinary is the attention to detail in everything thing they do, from the moment you book to time you leave; the welcome that come from genuine pride in their work, the passion in food they serve, the decor throughout and cleanliness all shine. This hotel operates with a relaxed professionalism that you only get from a team of people confident in their ability and offering. We’ll be back.. Jon C

Due to bad weather affecting our house we checked in at the Seaview overnight and ate there. The room was great, with everything you could need, there was a guide of things to do in the local area and it was a clean, nice room. We are regulars here for dinner and it's always a treat. My husband usually has the scallops for a starter and they are always fab. I had the arancini which was lovely. For mains I opted for the beef 'pie' which is just a lovely plate of food and my husband had a rather large burger! We took the opportunity to sample the cocktail menu and whiskys on offer. The place just gets it right every time we go. A fab night off from our worries.

On a tour around Scotland & wanted to stay at Boddam as my husband’s mum was born & bred there & we had brought back her ashes 2 years previous and had a family meal there after. Superb accommodation with a very large top floor room with large en-suite. Large bath, walk in shower lots of goodies in there & towels that dry you properly…. Staff were very helpful throughout our stay. Excellent satisfying cooked breakfast but good choice otherwise.

Internally the hotel was first class, but some attention is needed to keep the outside up to scratch. The room (6) was first class and food was of a high standard and quality. The departure day proved to be the only hiccup, the door to the restaurant from the guest rooms was locked and in trying the main door this too was locked! Eventually gaining access for breakfast only to find doors locked again and when trying to take our bags to the car. Very inconvenient! Special mention to restaurant manager (Simon?) who looked after us very well first two days, unfortunately he had a day off on the third day!

Friendly helpful staff. Room small but warm, cosy and well stocked with tea, coffee etc. Excellent breakfast menu and full Scottish was very tasty. Would recommend to anyone thinking about visiting the area.

The Seaview hosted a family 50th celebration recently. The meal was fantastic. Forbes and the teams service was attentive and friendly. We stayed the night. The room was fresh and spacious with a lovely harbour view. Thoroughly recommend.

Service was great, really enjoyed our stay. Rooms were clean, tidy and spacious. Would definitely stay again - didn’t eat at the restaurant but it seemed popular. Can’t fault anything at all with our stay

We had lovely time in this forgotten little town with the most amazing view. We were unsure about the menu but the chief produced an amazing dinner with excellent wine. One of the best we have experienced in the UK. A delicious starter, beautiful fish, and scrumptious pudding to follow.
