Dirty, horrible and rude staff. On arrival the room did not look as if it had been cleaned, I am sure the bedding was from the previous guests. Management treated me with contempt and told me I was free to go somewhere else, but I would still have to pay for one night. Avoid at all costs, pay more somwhere else, drive further away, just DO NOT stay here.

While it is dated and some matters need attention, the pros outweigh the cons. We liked the spacious rooms and bathroom, the pool, the very good in-house restaurant, the reasonable price for a one night stay which shortened the drive down to the Great Southern.

Average rooms , The pros . Good sized tv , fresh towels daily , bar fridge , microwave , kettle. The bad bedding doesn’t get changed regularly, carpet is in desperate need of cleaning, no toilet seat in my room. No soap only cheap and nasty dispenser, same in the shower. The rooms need a revamp desperately.Very overpriced for what you get. Better accommodation in Mandurah for what this establishment is charging .Wont be staying here again.

Travelling with my partner who was working through WA. Stayed here one night, basic accom, shower has no screen so whole bathroom flooded. No soundproofing, heard full conversation coming from next room, and they were speaking softly. People sitting outside their rooms playing music loud at night, didn't seem to be an issue for reception. Liyerally only bonus was the pool as it was a hot day.

Avoid booking at Pinjarra Resort at all costs. A month ago I booked 1 nights accommodation to stay at Pinjarra Resort in early February to stay at Pinjarra Resort in early April through ***********. However, a couple of days later found alternative accommodation in Pinjarra, so didn’t need to fork out the money to stay. I proceeded to cancel the request and then 2 days later $170 was taken from my account. I’ve called both Pinjarra Resort and *********** to try and get my money back and they won’t give me a refund, even though I advised well in advance that I have no intention of staying and canceled the accommodation. A small cancellation fee for the booking, I could perhaps understand. But not the entire fee for the nights stay. To me that doesn’t pass the pub test and is theft. Reading some of the other reviews, we may have dodged a bullet by not staying at Pinjarra Resort with other customers experiencing poor customer service, not a fire alarm in sight which I’m sure is illegal, rooms next to an overflowing skip bin with no waste disposal anywhere and facilities not being maintained properly. I think the Australian Competition Consumer Commission watchdog would be very interested in the conduct of Pinjarra Resort. If you want to be ripped off by rip off merchants, then book at Pinjarra Resort. Otherwise, seek alternative accommodation in Pinjarra.

Outright thievery. Booked in February for one night in April, only to subsequently realise another family member had arranged alternate, already paid for accommodation. Cancelled as rapidly as possible the booking which was made via ***********, however $170.00 was still debited from my account. Apparently, despite desperately attempting to cancel as soon as possible, we’d exceeded the 48hour time frame allotted for cancellations, and had to forfeit the entire amount. How on Earth is this even remotely acceptable? We cancelled within days, not weeks, and there was no hardship or loss of business from Pinjarra Resort – there was plenty of time to have the room re-booked, and we’d booked months in advance in the first place. A cancellation ‘fee’ I could understand, but to charge the entire amount – less than 48 hours after the initial booking – and then refuse to refund even a portion of the original amount is underhanded, gratuitously excessive and an utterly unfathomable, ridiculous business practice. To charge for a service not received or provided, for no other reason than an arbitrary 48 hour rule (when the cancellation request was made within days of the initial booking – we’re talking about 3-4 days at the very most) for a booking that was made for a date months away with plenty of time to re-allocate the room is disgusting. There was literally NO inconvenience to this establishment. They took the full amount from my account almost immediately when the vast majority of (much more salubrious accommodation and resorts) allow you to either pay a deposit, the full amount on the day or else take the full amount in question much closer to the actual date of the booking. I am more than eight months pregnant and it was decided that accommodation closer to the wedding venue (the even in question is my Brother in Law’s wedding after which we elected not to drive back the long distance to our home) would be more appropriate. $170.00 may not seem a lot, but when you’re literally weeks away from having a new baby, every cent counts, and at no point did we truly believe that a booking made in good faith and then cancelled with apologies and with alacrity would mean that we would still be charged the full amount. I am gobsmacked at the audacity. I do, however, find some small comfort in reading some of the other reviews, which do tend to follow a trend – apparently basic hygiene and customer service are foreign concepts to this establishment, so I’m not missing out on the apparently wondrous locations (next to overfilling, malodorous dumpsters) or being made to feel inadequate for requesting extra towels. Frankly, I’m grateful to be bunking with my Parents in Law. I can understand a cancellation fee. But the whole amount? Atrocious handling of the matter, from beginning to end, never mind how long it took them to get back to my husband in the first place just to advise on their disgusting policy. Avoid this ‘Resort’ at all costs if you want to receive
