Just completed a wonderful weekend away at the Inn at Wawanissee Point. The house was beautiful with its detailed wooodwork and large picture windows. The hosts, Dave and Trudy, are kind, welcoming, and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. The inn is exceptionally clean and well-kept. The bed and sheets were very comfortable. The TeePee room that we booked was quiet and was separated a bit from the other bedrooms upstairs which was nice (i.e. no shared walls). The breakfast was wonderful, and our group loved the wine and cheese time in the bar area. We spent time in the hot tub and the massage chair which we loved. Overall, I highly recommend a stay at this location.

The Inn is stunning, the view out the panoramic window (make sure you ask where the window came from) is unbelievable; Trudy and Dave have truly made sure the your experience will be unforgettable, you will want to return.

We absolutely loved this Inn. The Inn itself is so stunning & the view….just gorgeous. Trudy & Dave are wonderful hosts. They make sure you are VERY well cared for & all your needs are met. Breakfast was delicious & beautifully presented. Served on the deck as it was nice out, again amazing views & hummingbirds all around. And Trudy could write a cookbook with all the delicious things she prepared & the baked goods she made!! Wine hour from 530-630 with a lovely charcuterie platter & great conversation with Dave is a must. As for hiking, It is so close to the Ice Age access & Devils Lake. Can’t say enough good things, we will definitely be back. I should add we chose the Teepee Room because we wanted the view & balcony. So glad we did!!

We stayed at this bed and breakfast for our anniversary. The room was great, very clean! The view was amazing in this home! Having breakfast outside while watching all the hummingbirds fly by was a great experience. The trails around the property were very nice also. The only complaints we had was that this place was not very welcoming. We got there to check in, rang the doorbell multiple times and were waiting outside for around ten minutes. That wasn’t a huge deal but at other bed and breakfasts we were always greeted promptly. We came home from dinner at 10pm and the home was very dark. If it wasn’t for the motion sensor lights at our feet we would’ve been stumbling though. A lamp or two on would do wonders. My husband also witnessed a little bit of bickering between the innkeepers, which was very awkward for him and made him uncomfortable. Also keep in mind that they have dogs, we did not know this before booking. We didn’t mind at all but if you are allergic that would be a good thing to know. I was woken up around 6:30/6:45am to the dogs barking, chasing after a squirrel. Another thing to note is that breakfast will most likely be served late. They serve at 8am or 9am. We did chose 8am. We would receive our breakfast around 8:30 both days. This may bother travelers who are on a time crunch. Overall it is a beautiful house on a beautiful property but not quite worth the $470 a night.

The evening wine & cheese reception welcomed us to a spectacular view and our gracious hosts, Trudy & Dave. The hiking trails on the property are beautiful and perfect for stretching your legs after the filling breakfasts, which were delicious, different each morning, and taking into account our likes and dislikes. Our room was clean, comfortable and quiet. It was the perfect launch pad for exploring the Baraboo hills and valleys.

A truly serene experience, one my wife and will always treasure. While returning home, we booked reservations to experience the inn again, next time to see the colorful natural wonders of the panoramic display of colors - the Baraboo bluffs, walk the inn’s well groomed trails through the woods, and explore Devil’s Lake State Park.

Exquisite accommodations with a beautiful view of the lake. Chef quality breakfast with fruit, freshly squeezed juice and great coffee each morning. Trudy and Dave make you feel like family. Dave even cleaned our car of snow before departure! I have never been to a more beautiful bed-and-breakfast place! Also for my peer skiers-very conveniently close to Devil’s Head Ski resort.

In an attempt to find a place to stay for a secluded and relaxing getaway I had stumbled upon this inn. It had pretty much everything I was looking for: an inn with a secluded and relaxing atmosphere. As well as an inn that had trails nearby. At the time of reserving the room only the Bird's Nest and the Secret Garden were available. I ended up reserving our stay for the Bird's Nest as it was described as being quiet while also having the nice southern view. The pictures on the Inn's website are a little out of date: one picture shows an armoire which has been replaced by a table and a wall mounted TV. (No complaints here.) The room looks a little tight on space in the pictures online but it's really not bad. There was plenty of room for the two of us. I was happy to have picked this room and would again in the future. (I would like to try the Tepee room as well.) Dave and Trudy are both very hospitable. I enjoyed seeing Dave playing his multiple innkeeper roles throughout our stay. (Each role had it's own wardrobe.) He was also host of the wine and cheese hour. Dave and Trudy were both very accommodating during our stay. Sampson and Delilah are the Inn's two dogs. I think we were both surprised at how large the two dogs are. But, they are both very friendly. I enjoyed when they would come sit outside by us in the evening. They would even go hiking on the Inn's trails with us. FYI: The innkeepers did state that if you're not great with dogs that they would keep the dogs inside during your stay. I would definitely recommend the inn.
