Wasn’t sure what to expect with this hotel but wow, the moment we walked through the reception door we were welcomed and given our room key. We are in one of the “ upgraded “ rooms and they are fantastic. It’s like an apartment with a living room and mini kitchen, the room is extremely clean and spacious. Balcony is great facing the pool and lots of space outside too. The pool area and grounds of this hotel are great, very clean and well maintained, you can tell they look after this place. I’ll certainly be booking this hotel any time I visit Lanzarote again, it’s great value for money. Only a 10 min walk down hill to the main *****, there is a supermarket in the hotel which is so handy to get stuff.

What an absolute gem. Absolutely spotless resort, rooms perfectly adequate . Visa my maintenance daily. Really enjoyed it so did the kids. Only one down side, the pool was colder than the arctic. Didn’t put many off as there were plenty of people in the pool.

Just back from 11 days here, apartments are spotless and super comfy beds and great powerful showers. Great location only 7 min walk to the main *****. Plenty sun beds and bar cafe serves great food, the steak was cooked to perfection. We had a late flight but showers in the gym were excellent. All the staff are brilliant, guy on reception was really friendly and helpful, staff in the bar are all super nice and the cleaners and handyman never stop and nothing is a problem, wee shop next door sells everything. Would recommend 100% and will defo return.

Stayed here at Christmas,, same opinion as I have now staying in June!! The apartments themselves are in need of modernisation....there is a non smoking policy in and outside the rooms, although we found cigarette butt burns on the sofa and pillowcases and stains at the bottom of the curtains (see photos attached)...the walls are paper thin so you will hear your neighbours going to the toilet and flushing it , you will hear them talking , pacing up and down the floors in high heel shoes and dragging their furniture around the floors from 6am and then from around 1am when they are back from a nights drinking.... SO we arrived on a Sunday and for the first 4 nights we didn't sleep...the room above us had clientele from an Irish travellers group....they were fighting all night, throwing furniture, screaming and making so much noise...we made 5 complaints and on night 4 they were evicted...we got an apology from the manager but were not offered any compensation, not even a free drink or food in the restaurant.....this was very disappointing considering we were only here for a week ...the pool area is very clean but no lifeguard and a dash for sunbeds from 9am....the pool at this time of the year was freezing so we didn't even get a swim....Overall we would not recommend this nightmare place

My daughter and I stayed here for 3 nights in April, we were located in room 124 opposite the children’s pool which was ideal, lovely apartment with everything you needed for your stay. The supermarket on the complex was ideal for a small shop like water and bread, we did go to the bigger supermarket on the ***** for a bigger shop which was cheaper. We walked to the ***** on a night time approx 10 mins and back up the hill at the end of the night which we enjoyed( the hill is very walkable)This complex is very clean. I am staying here again in June as I had the best time.

The recent renovations have only served to improve the whole facility. The apartments are spotless and cleaned regularly. The staff are very friendly and couldn't do enough to help. This was my third visit and will definitely be coming back again. Highly recommend staying here

Our key stopped working for our room twice and the lock had been replaced. After going out for dinner one evening we came back to finding a man drunk sleeping on our sofa. I was terrified and ran to the bar to seek help from a member of staff, where he told me he would go to the bathroom first before coming to help me. After finally getting the man out of our apartment we were told to make use of the lock inside our door and the problem would be fixed in the morning. The next morning I went to reception and the receptionist was laughing at our situation and had said his friend told him the story. This was very unprofessional. It took over an hour for someone to come fix our door. We had planned to go to Texas Park that day but half the day was wasted as our apartment door didn’t lock. I asked to speak to a manager, and when I did he told me his was aware of the situation, yet he never came to check on us or offer his apologies I had to go and seek for him? He also laughed at our situation and said it was the first time it happened and kept telling me “tranquil”. When I explained that I didn’t feel safe he shut me down immediately and when I brought up a refund to move hotel again he shut this idea down. On our last night we decided to have a drink in the hotel, where again a member of staff joked about the situation laughing saying “Don’t forget to lock your door”. I was made feel as though this entire situation was our fault and we had no right to be upset. I understand that this is a unique experience but that was no professional way to deal with the situation. To not be offered compensation for the emotional trauma or anything is outrageous. We paid the same price as everyone else to not have a secure place to stay and had this emotional trauma on our holiday. After reflecting on the situation again when we got home I emailed the hotel again where I got another rude reply stating it was not their fault, yet their doors are clearly not safe and secure and functioning properly. Would hate to think this would happen to anyone especially a family! Not a place to stay if you want security!!

When we initially arrived we were very unimpressed with our downstairs room. It was very dark and didn’t have a great atmosphere at all. However they happily accommodated our request to move rooms for a higher one tucked out if the way. This was a lot lighter. Overall we were happy with our stay and felt comfortable there. The beds were comfortable in the bedroom, sofa bed not so much. Happy that quilts were provided and not just blankets like some hotels. The reception and pool area are lovely, bright and modern. Food isn’t the best. I only ate one breakfast there and that was enough. My egg was slimy and translucent as not cooked and everything was cold. There is a problem with flooding. Our apartment got flooded and some of our thing’s damaged. I did raise this with them but they didn’t offer any repairs/refund, just extra towels to put under the door in rain. It makes sense now why we saw loads of towels under doors. We went in March and there was a lot of rain. Overall though the service was great from the two at reception. We would stay again but there are some issues they need to address for improvement.

Our 5th year in a row staying at bitacora, rooms have neem refurbished last 2 years and the pool side bar / restaurantsnd reception refurbished last year to a high standard. Staff are all wonderful and remember us. Marco on reception is so helpful and always ensures we get a room in the area we like every year. Would highly recommend

Totally amazing all round. Apartments are lovely, on site shop that has everything you need and not expensive. Bar is awesome and the food is amazing. We always stay here only a short walk or taxi ride to the main *****. Totally recommend 100%

such a lovely place, very clean, all new reception and bar area, lovely pool with sun beds all around, pool good size...not heated but not a problem as so hot anyway so cool dip is just the job. we had an apartment which had a bedroom with 2 single beds, and a double sofa bed...memory foam pillows, good size bathroom with big shower, hair dryer, iron, fully equipped kitchen.....microwave, kettle, oven, hot plates, all the equipment knives etc. lots of sun beds and tables around the pool area, pool chained off to stop towel hoggers pinching all the beds at 6am...chain removed around 9am of just before. great full English breakfast for $4.50, didn't try any other meals there as ate out. disappointed no free WIFI, i used my data so not a problem but i think it was about $14 for 3/4 days?? property set... half way up the hill from the main stripe, but only took 10/15 minutes on the way down but slightly more on the way home at night! beaches all lovely and clean but sun beds are all chargeable so could end up costly if you went there everyday, $7.50 for 3 beds per day. lovely Chinese ladies doing massage on the beaches, wanted $40 but got them down to $30 ….did an amazing massage and lovely with it. there is a little shop right by the side doors to the apartments selling everything you need or a Lidl a 5 min walk away to get all your main shopping if you were doing fully self catering.

Stayed here for one week for the second time and as expected it did not disappoint. The room was lovely and clean, the pool area is spacious and plenty of beds for everyone. Upon check-in the receptionist was very kind and welcoming and although the room was not ready which is understandable as we arrived very early, he allowed to us to store our bags and explained we can go for a drink if we wish. There is a great shop on site that is very good. The fresh rolls and pastries every morning were a real treat. We had a fantastic week and everything was perfect - The food, the drink, the facilities . Thanks to all the staff at the Bitacora and we cannot wait to return again. Liam

Just spent a week staying here. Apartment was clean and spacious, looking over the pool. Pool area is great, with a separate pool for toddlers, plenty of sun loungers. The pool bar was reasonably priced and had a good choice from the menu for food and drinks. There is a small shop on site that sells everything you need chilled and tinned foods and alcohol ect. The only let down was it allowed a hen party to stay. Went from a nice peaceful place to non stop noise and mess. Glass bottles and litter just left everywhere. I would however stay here again as it is in a good location, great little hotel. Fab aircon in bedroom.

Just back from here we had a lovely one bedroomed apartment which was clean and tidy only issue was the location of no 103 with a very small terrace that people kept cutting through to get to supermarket also as it was in the corner it was very shaded and no sunshine. We did ask to be moved to another room but nothing else available. Although WiFi available here you have to pay for this, most other places offer this for free. TV channels were only available in German? management need to look at a way of ensuring people do not hog the sun beds all day as every morning there was a queue of people waiting With their towels then they would all disappear for hours and it was hard to get a sun bed for the rest of the day apart from that we could not fault here. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and the complex was very clean and tidy. The prices for food and drink at the bar were also very reasonable. Would recommend here as a place to stay and we would definitely come back here as less than 10 mins walk to main ***** with bars and restaurants although there is a bit of a hill so not ideal for older people.

A few things...what a great place, value for money, staff are great. If you are with Jet2 and have transfers included, it's an hour as you are the last stop, pay the 20 Euros for a cab if you can, it's 10 mins away. There is a walk to the breach front, 10 mins really, but 5 Euros for a cab back up too which is good. We stayed in room 103 which was right next to the night entrance which wasn't great for sleep with late/early transfers and party people coming in 3am. You have to get your towels out around 8am, it's the norm. Generally, a really nice place and Air Conditioning...included which is amazing really these days, thank the sun and solar power!
