A very nice boutique hotel. Very clean and old world feel. Staff was excellent and spoke good English. Breakfast in the morning was great and you can have eggs made to order Neighborhood had lots of food options…Asian, Ecuadorian, burgers, etc. Not near any of the sights though. Would be very far to walk. But we took a couple of Ubers and they were cheap. The old city with all the sights was about 30 minutes in our tour van. When you leave you have to be buzzed out and when you return you have to be buzzed in. Didn’t mind that but felt sorry for the staff who had to come to the door.

We stayed a few days here while visiting Quito. The rooms are very basic, but had everything we needed for a clean and comfortable stay. Where this b&b really shines is in its staff. Everyone we encountered was kind and helpful, they offer a wonderful breakfast every morning, and if you have a very early excursion any mornings, they'll even pack a bagged breakfast for you to take with you! The location is in a neighborhood that felt safe and was abundant in restaurants within close walking distance. From sushi to Italian to pubs, we never had to venture far for a good meal unless we wanted to see another part of the city.

Stayed here on the night we arrived in Quito, and in between our visits to other parts of Ecuador. We arrived here at 1am and left early in the morning, they allowed the late arrival and also packed us lunch for our hike the next day. We came back after we visited Mindo, they allowed us to leave our luggage free of charge while we went to Galapagos. When we came back from Galapagos our luggage was safe and at the hotel. They are very kind, provide great breakfast, the rooms are clean, and comfortable, the hotel is located in a great location within the La Floresta neighborhood. I'd 1000% recommend Casa Aliso!

We had an amazing time! We loved the garden full of beautiful hummingbirds, the food and the the rooms with baldachin beds! We will miss the succulent omelette and sweet juices and the super kind staff. Such a cozy and special hotel. We will most definitely come back! Grazias por todo!

We arrived very, very early on New Years Day 2024 and our hosts Betty and Ana and their team made us feel so welcome! Casa Aliso is in the quiet and beautiful district of La FLORESTA and we enjoyed the convenience of our location (within walking distance or quick cab ride to Centro Historico) and lots of restaurants both trendy/high end and classic street food on a budget. Our complimentary morning breakfast was carefully prepared just for us, with a daily rotation of fresh juices, breads and egg scrambles. The relaxed but elegant common spaces with good access for daytime Wi-Fi made it easy for my partner to work remotely during the day while I got to explore-and we cozied up by the fireplaces on rainy evenings. The beds were comfortable and our room overlooking a sweet garden made the beginning of our trip to Ecuador tranquil. They keep a couple of filtered water devices in the common room which helps beat high altitude fatigue if you’re just arriving-and the hosts speak English and are very helpful at navigating your way around the city. Can’t recommend them highly enough!

There is so much to rave about this hotel.... it is attractive, the staff is very pleasant though the speak very little English, the beds are very comfortable, they have a great breakfast, there are several restaurants in walking distance of the hotel, they have a security system so you fell secure. So why the 3? The building is old and predates central heating systems. That would be OK, but they also lack other forms of heating which was mad it very uncomfortable for the 3 nights we were there. They only had one portable heater that worked and it was already checked out. It was a decent shower, but I couldn't convince myself to use it when the temperature in the bathroom was under 60 degrees F. It I had been able to stay warmer, it would have had a much higher rating.

Absolutely charming boutique guesthouse, ideally situated in a safe area of La Floresta near restaurants, shops, markets, and street art. The staff were so kind and welcoming, especially when we arrived late after a long flight and wanted to get settled in Quito. Our room was super comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. I'd definitely recommend Casa Aliso to anyone looking for a good place to stay in Quito.

Upon arrival, one rings the bell for entrance suggesting it is secure. Greeted warmly at reception and shown to my room which immediately raised red flags. It was right where people walk through and next to the dining area; not for a light sleeper. She found another room which seemed ok, but in the evening I heard loud kitchen noise at the head of the bed! I heard people using the toilet right where my door was even though told no one used it! There is NO heat in the hotel (99.99% anywhere in Ecuador) but I found a space heater. The breakfast is basically the same every day (fresh fruit/ juice, rolls, eggs, cheese and a kind of meat slice, coffee and tea.) I told them that room wouldn't work and when I returned from the Amazon, they found an upstairs room and only one other person in the hotel so I had decent sleep. It's nicely kept, WIFI was ok most of the time, water available to refill your private water bottles. Reception informed me of a unique restaurant few streets away: "Casa Warmi Ecuadorean restaurant in Quito" (Spanish only, but they are happy to assist). The hotel is in a University area of Quito, and didn't seem to have parking.

This small hotel is excellent for Comfort, Customer Service and Location. Rooms were reasonably priced. Rooms were very comfortable and very clean. Breakfast was simple but more than enough with fresh juices, omelettes, fresh fruit, granola etc. There were a good selection of lovely restaurants within walking distance of the hotel and shops and parks were within easy walking distance too. The staff were amazing, so helpful with some really good ideas on how to spend our time in Quito. We liked this hotel so much, we stayed there again at the end of our holiday prior to catching a flight home! Would definitely recommend and will stay there again when we next visit Ecuador.
