Red Roof PLUS+ Raleigh Downtown - NCSU/Conv Center

Our room was VERY clean upon entry and the front desk staff was pleasant. It is a red roof so as far as I know that brand does not offer breakfast normally but they do have coffee in the mornings at this location. I also liked that I was able to open our window to let in some fresh air. A lot of hotels you aren't able to open the windows at all since they are permanently installed.

Disgusting hotel. Sign says to wait for your front desk clerk because she isn’t in the office right now.

First, let me say I have stayed at this location on several different occasions and this is the first time I have been disappointed. My stay was in room 311. The room was filthy. There was what appeared to be poop in the bathroom floor and on the side of the toilet! The sink was dirty. I went to use the hairdryer and not only was it completely filthy but when I turned it on sparks flew and I thought it was going to catch fire. It stunk up the entire room for the rest of the night. There was no toilet tissue holder and it was just placed on the back of the toilet and there was no trash can by the bathroom and one tiny trashcan in a corner by the window. I was also disappointed by the amount of noise on the hall while I was attempting to sleep.

I enjoyed the stay. Room was clean, front desk ladies were super nice and sweet. It’s close to downtown and convenient. I just wish there were more options for food along Saunders St. The area isn’t overall that bad, it is in an industrial area, so that’s to be expected. Looking forward to the next time I’m in town. I’d give this one another shot!

The no smoking signs did little to deter the smell of pot smoke from room 304/302. And a quarter of the cars in the lot at night were just running with people hanging out in them. Walls are thin so you can hear all the sounds of the highway, aplus the family yelling and running down the halls at 2 in the morning. Floor was a little sticky and the bath was a bit mildewy, but honestly the room's not bad.

Staff was friendly, helpful, stellar! Location was next to the freeway: convenient but noisy, facility was in need of repair and new paint, bed was comfortable, linens were clean & soft.

Overall, the hotel was fine. It is frustrating that they had a $2 per nite fee for using the room safe that you have to request to remove. I wonder how many people forget to look for that.

Hardly gives out reviews but this is far nightmare stay I ever had in a very long time … firstly was checked in so late after midnight due to transmission of stay from third party but was to woke up and getting kick out my supervisor herself just for an hour late of check out time . You indeed lack customer service satisfaction and so rude . Never with this property
